Industry with a grand concert on December 28 (Saturday) at Musaeus College Auditorium starting at
7pm.
Desmond launched the celebration of his 50th An-
niversary global tour which kicked off in July with
a an open air concert in his hometown Matara. The
popular Sri Lankan Band in Australia, Replay 6, will
provide music for the concert ‘The Journey’.
Sunil Perera, Corrine, Mariezelle, Rukshan and
Sandra & Esric Jackson from Australia among others join Desmond on stage. The concert has all the
makings of a sophisticated musical journey through
the five decades in music that promises to meet and
exceed expectations. The concert in Sri Lanka is presented by DK Promotions.
According to the organisers the tickets sale which
commenced last week has been very satisfactory with
more than 60% of the tickets being sold in 4 days.
The ticket sales will recommence at the Galadari Hotel Lobby on Thursday (19) and will be on sale till the
23 daily from 12noon until 6 p.m.
Desmond De Silva will also be performing as
the special guest artist at the New Years Eve dinner
dance “Blast from the Past” at BMICH Banquet hall
with Damayantha Kuruppu and retro band Vision.
The dinner dance is specially put together for the
whole family to usher the new-year in a family atmosphere. Ticket for the dinner dance is Rs.5500.00
and children under 12 Rs. 3000.00 inclusive of Gala
dinner buffet. For tickets bought for the concert will

natural ingredients – particularly the freshest seafood, which we obtain locally. What better place for

boasts a variety of seafood specialties, including
a special three-courseallcrab dinner served at tables
set out on the wide, sandy
beach that fronts the hotel.
Eating and drinking with
your feet in the sand is definitely key to the
Uga Jungle Beach experience. There’s a beach
bar – a watering-hole for swimmers and sunbathers by day, a place for whispered romance
by night – and more romantic still, a dinnertime ‘beach picnic’ under the stars, popular

at Uga Escapes at least, times has changed. The
boring breakfast buffets served to guests at a
typical Sri Lankan hotel have no place at Jungle
Beach, Uga Bay or Ulagalla. Instead, guests receive a breakfast on a tray, made up to order, in
the dining-room or anywhere else on the property they choose to take it. Every tray receives
the chef’s personal attention before it leaves the
kitchen, ensuring that everything is just so. A
typical Uga breakfast tray might contain any of
a variety of hot dishes, assorted kinds of bread,
croissants, doughnuts, fruit juice or a smoothie,
yogurt, organic jam and much more – with refills on the house. Unlimited supplies of tea and
