As God’s people our Mission is: To make Jesus Christ present in our daily lives through Divine worship, Christian education and service to our neighbor. To strive through ethical conduct, generous hearts, and industrious lives, to give glory and honor to GOD. ABOVE ALL WE ARE A CHRISTIAN COMMUNITY. SMALL ENOUGH TO CARE. HUMBLE ENOUGH TO SERVE. STRONG ENOUGH TO NOURISH January 6, 2013 Our Walk Toward Christ Hopefully, you’ve all received your parish letter about our upcoming Parish Mission, “Our Walk Toward Christ.” It is a spiritually refreshing event that takes place over the course of 5 days. While usually in the evenings, our first day of Mission, Sunday, February 3rd, will be at 1:30 in the afternoon, finished in plenty of time so all who wish can enjoy the Super Bowl. Monday thru Thursday evenings at 6:30pm. Each day features honest and thought-provoking explorations on faith topics such as the Bible, the Crucifix, Sin, Reconciliation and Healing, plus a Eucharistic Celebration on Thursday evening. It will be given by Fr. Pete Shavitz, a Redemptorist missionary. He will preach at all weekend Masses February 2-3 to introduce the Mission. We will also be showing a video about the Mission next weekend at all Masses. We will offer babysitting for the little ones, a children’s Mission for those K-4, and transportation for those in need. Please fill out the form below so we can plan our materials. Bring the whole family. Invite neighbors and friends. Everyone is welcome. This is an event you don’t want to miss! Start now to arrange your schedule and family obligations so that you will be available to attend. Mark your calendars NOW! We spend so much time taking care of family and others. This is an opportunity to take care of YOU. What a blessing our Parish Mission will be during this Year of Faith and a great preparation for Lent which will begin a week later.
