DESCRIPTION
A local guide will meet the group, and you will head out of Longyearbyen towards the dog yards.
Here participants will receive an introduction to dog sledding, before the dogs are harnessed and
the real fun begins. Two participants will share each specially-made wheeled sled, with six eager
huskies in front. Each participant will have the opportunity to drive the sled and enjoy the scenery
as a passenger.
Actual driving time is about one hour. The guide will help to harness the dogs and will lead the sleds
with his own team.

After the tour the bus will stop in town. Available
merchandise: Souvenirs, groceries, pharmacy items,
outdoor clothing and equipment, fur, food and drinks.
Dress codes/requirements for the tour: Casual.
Windproof outerwear and sensible shoes recommended
(high heels not recommended!).
We do not consider this excursion to be suitable for
wheelchair users.
This excursion includes visits to environmentally sensitive
areas. Please follow the guide’s instructions at all times.
Do not walk off paths as this may affect the local flora.
Remarks: Your clothes may retain an odour from the
exposure suits used on this tour.
