Conference Schedule
It gives me great pleasure to introduce this year’s conference entitled “Practical Game Solutions to Real Match Issues”.
The conference is targeted at coaches working with youth and adult teams. Our key message is the importance of
purposeful games based training programmes, incorporating the elements of the OTú Coaching Model, to suit your
players and teams needs. The skills of our coaches, their up to date knowledge and the ability to communicate with our
young players will have a huge impact on our ability to remain the pre eminent sports organisation in Ireland. That is how
important quality coaching is to our ability to stay ahead as a sports organisation.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank the contributors to the conference, IT Carlow, for the use of their fantastic
facilities and Sean Dempsey and his team who have all been instrumental in the organisation of this conference.
Lastly, I would like to give a huge thanks to our sponsors O’Neills whose support is greatly appreciated. I hope all in
attendance will have a positive, memorable and taught provoking experience.
