Wayne County YouthBuild is a community development program that
addresses several core issues facing low-income communities: housing,
education, employment, and leadership development.

Be committed to CHANGE!

Be between the ages of 16~24.

Be available all day Monday ~ Friday to:
**Earn a GED or improve basic skills
**Work in the community on construction projects

Be willing to work in a team setting.

Be committed to working hard.

Be self ~ motivated and self ~ disciplined.

Be drug ~ free.

Be willing to participate in building a stronger community.

Be able to complete an intensive orientation process.

Wayne County YouthBuild program helps out-of-school Wayne County
youth, ages 16 to 24, obtain their high school diplomas or GEDs while
gaining occupational training in the construction industry through
Wayne Community College.
Benefits of Wayne County YouthBuild:
Wayne County YouthBuild participants will build five new home projects
with Habitat for Humanity, all located in the City of Goldsboro, N.C.

Wayne County YouthBuild participants will receive leadership skills
training conducted by the Wayne County Job Link Career Center,
Wayne County Public Schools, Sheriff’s Department and faith-based
partners.

Wayne County YouthBuild (WCYB)
is designed to harness the positive energies of
unemployed young adults ages 16 - 24 as they help
rebuild their communities and rebuild their own lives.
WCYB will help develop a commitment to work,
education, and responsibility. The program will offer
comprehensive youth services with a systematic approach geared toward long-term
workforce preparation. WCYB is a great opportunity for Wayne County youth!
