The Beach Chamber helped Sponsor the Beach Walk/Walk event this weekend that Chapel-By-TheSea organized. The event raised money for RCS (Religious Church Services) and the Food Pantry. This
is the same organization that all the Making Waves bins in the restaurants at Christmas time were
for. It is a wonderful group that helps with the less fortunate in our community. Not only does it feel
good to give, but the comradery was exhilarating. If you missed this event, mark your calendars for
January next year. This was the 4th Annual Walk and will certainly be an annual event for many years
to come. Even if you don't want to walk, you can join everyone back at
Chapel-By-The-Sea for a pancake breakfast and Silent Auction afterward.
Our first mingle for the year will be next Thursday the 31st at Pier House 60. I hope to see you there!
Remember, this is the location of the cover shot of our now famous Clearwater Beach Art Book. If
you haven't had the chance to see the view for yourself, this will be your chance.

South of Pier 60 on Clearwater Beach, 1,000 tons of its
world famous sugar sands will be in the Sugar Sand Walk
Exhibition, an artistic walk-through display in a 14,000
square foot tent accessible for a small admission
cost. Additional no-cost highlights of the event include
Frenchy's Master Sand Sculpting Competition, sand
sculpting clinics, speed sand demonstrations and a
children's play area called the Sandbox.

this past Sunday had some awesome entertainment during the
half time show. Christian Bottger, 10 and son to our very own
Holiday Inn's General Manager Christine Bottger, performed
dance moves from Cali Swag District's Teach Me How To Dougie
and PSY's Gangnam Style. Showing The Buc's Cheerleaders how
to really put on a show!

The Chamber received a call from Kevin Quinn with Push
America. He is with a Bike Team that is riding to raise
awareness for Disability Achievement Center and
UPARC Center. There will be 36 men riding their bikes
from Miami to Tallahassee for 2 weeks. The Clearwater
Community Sailing Center generously is allowing them to
stay there on May 15th and Marlin Darlin restaurant was
very gracious to offer Kevin and his team food while they
are here. A big thanks go out to our Chamber members!

Bonjour everybody,
My name is Romain Couture and I am one of the interns at
the Chamber of Commerce. I come from Pau, a little town
south from Bordeaux, close to Spain and the mountains.
That's why I was not really used to see the sea everyday
before coming here, but I am getting used to it quite easily!
I traveled to a lot of countries a year ago across Europe
(Netherlands, Germany, Hungary, Croatia...) but it is the
first the time that I have been to the US and I am really
excited about that. I hope I will get to meet a lot of people
here (members of the chamber or not). I am also going to
