Offertory Giving Offertory p. 1127 p. 1134 Capital Campaign 4:00 pm Mass Entrance Turn to Me Refrain Turn to me, O turn, and be saved, says the Lord, for I am God; There is no other, none beside Me. I call your name. L oving and faithful God, through the years the people of our archdiocese have appreciated the prayers and love of Our Lady of Prompt Succor in times of war, disaster, epidemic and illness. We come to you, Father, with Mary our Mother, and ask you to help us in the battle of today against violence, murder and racism. Bless parents that they may form their children in faith. Bless and protect our youth that they may be peacemakers of our time. Give consolation to those who have lost loved ones through violence. Hear our prayer and give us the perseverance to be a voice for life and human dignity in our community. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Our Lady of Prompt Succor, hasten to help us. Mother Henriette Delille, pray for us that we may be a holy family. Refrain When the oceans rise and the thunders roar. I will soar with You above the storm, Father, You are King over the flood, And I will be s&ll and know You are God, 2. Find rest, my soul, in Christ alone Know His power in quietness and trust. (to refrain 2X…) Family Prayer We implore you to give us your wisdom that we may build a community founded on the values of Jesus, which gives respect to the life and dignity of all people. Be S ll and Know 1. Hide me now under Your wings, Cover me within Your mighty hand. Be s&ll and know that I am God; (3X) I am the God that healeth thee; (3X) (to refrain…) 1. I am God who comforts you; Who are you to be afraid of flesh that fades, is made like the grass of the fields, soon to wither. 2. Listen to Me, My people; Give ear to Me, My na&on: a law will go forth from Me, and My jus&ce for a light to the people. 3. Li* up your eyes to the heavens, and look at the earth down below. The heavens will vanish like smoke, and the earth will wear out like a garment. By: J. Foley©1979. OCP Publica&ons. All rights reserved. Used by permission. You who dwell in the shelter of the Lord, who abide in his shadow for life, say to the Lord: "My refuge, my rock in whom I trust!" Refrain And he will raise you up on eagle's wings, bear you on the breath of dawn, make you to shine like the sun, and hold you in the palm of his hand. February 21, 2016 2nd Sunday of Lent Page 3 2. Entrada La Gente Camina 1. For to his angels he's given a command to guard you in all of your ways; upon their hands they will bear you up, lest you dash your foot against a stone. By: M. Joncas©1979. OCP Publica&ons. Here in the Word, God is revealed, here where the wounded can be healed. Here in our hearts, here in our lives, our God is here. Here we become what we receive, here in this Eucharis&c feast. We are his body, living as one; our God is here. And we cry: Por: Luis A. Díaz-Brito©Obra Publicada por OCP. Todos los derechos reservados. Usado con permiso. Licencia # 608353. Ofertorio Abre Mis Ojos 1. Abre mis ojos, ayúdame a ver. 2. Abre mis oídos, ayúdame a oír. Sending Forth Our God is Here 1. Here in this &me, here in this place, here we are standing face to face. Here in our hearts, here in our lives, our God is here. Here for the broken, here for the strong, here in this temple we belong. Here in our hearts, here in our lives, our God is here. And we cry: 4. Abre mi corazón, ayúdame a amar. 2. 4. Ven y descansa en mi corazón. Ven y descansa, te aliviaré. 5. Abre mis ojos, ayúdame a ver. Por: J Manusiban; R. Zaragozan©1998. OCP Publica&ons. Todos los derechos reservados. Usado con permiso. (to refrain)… “God is rich in mercy . . .” Ephesians 2:4 There's a Wideness in God's Mercy 1. There's a wideness in God's mercy Like the wideness of the sea; There's a kindness in God’s jus&ce, Which is more than liberty. There is plen&ful redemp&on In the blood that has been shed; There is joy for all the members In the sorrows of the Head. 2. There is welcome for the sinner, And a promised grace made good; There is mercy with the Savior; There is healing in Christ’s blood. There is grace enough for thousands Of new worlds as great as this; There is room for fresh crea&ons In that upper home of bliss. Refrain So be merciful, just as our God is merciful. Be merciful, just as our God is merciful to us. Let there be a wideness in our mercy. Let there be a kindness in our hearts. Oh, may our lives be merciful. 3. For the love of God is broader Than the measures of the mind; And the heart of the Eternal Is most wonderfully kind. If our love were but more simple, We would know the living word; And our lives would be thanksgiving In the kindness of our Lord. 4. There's a wideness in God's mercy Like the wideness of the sea; There's a kindness in God’s jus&ce, Which is more than liberty. There is plen&ful redemp&on In the blood that has been shed; There is joy for all the members in the sorrows of the Head. February 21, 2016 2nd Sunday of Lent Page 5 By: E. Bolduc©2015.
