Quinta Nova Luxury Winery House, the first wine
hotel in Portugal, was born of the reconstruction of
the old manor house from the 18th century in this
property of 120 hectares.

Chef José Pinto matches wines with "local food“, assuming a
strong character of sustainability and preservation of local
seasonal products. Every day the Chef surprises with a different
menu, according to what nature offers. And when clima allows
it, meals are taken outside.

Even when clients don’t stay with us at the Hotel, the CONCEITUS RESTAURANT is open to receive them.
Match with a winetour and a wine tasting, besides a short river trip… and return in the same day to Porto (by train,
car or helicopter). A great experience!
WINE BAR
At the Wine Bar, extended to an outdoor terrace under a
branched pergola, clients can taste delicious delicacies
prepared by our Chef: tapas, boards, regional sandwiches or
salads, always matched with a good wine.
Also you can use the Bar for a wine tasting or for a simple
relaxed time, guaranteeing a magnificent panoramic view of
the Douro valley.

PORT WINE OPENING WITH FIRE
The opening of Vintage Port bottles with a heated tong is a traditional
practice in older wines, which creates very differentiating moments.

Clients can visit the winery dated from 1764 and the Wine Atelier, the
barrels room and the underground cellar where we age the best lots
selected by the family. The visit ends in the Tasting room/Shop where a
tasting can be held, with a combination with local tapas.

Enjoy a different and charming day in full contact with the vineyard and
the wine, staring to the remarkable and beautiful river. Come to us by
train or boat, both very comfortable options.
It starts at 11:30am and includes winetour, tasting of 4 wines (Port and
Douro), a lunch menu at Conceitus Winery Restaurant (no drinks) and a
free afternoon to relax or walk along the wine trail in the estate.

1 DAY IN THE HARVEST
Because this is a special time, be sure to live and share our day- to-day
in the vineyard and winery. An unforgettable experience for any wine
lover.
It includes training and delivery of material, grape picking in the
vineyard, lunch menu at Conceitus Winery Restaurant (no drinks),
winetour with tasting of the 1st wine in the cellar and wine tasting
(Porto and Douro).

WINEMAKER FOR A DAY
Try something unique, monitoring the winemaking process
to create your own wine. The activity begins with the
blending, followed by bottling, corking and labeling and
finally you can take away the wine with you.
A remarkable and very special experience.
Price: 55€/pax | Available from 6-15 people | Under
reservation | In case of a shared activity the cost will be
65€/team, working in a single bottle | Not available during
the Harvest time.

During a longer stay take some time for a course. Join

WALKING WINE TRAIL
Quinta Nova offers a pedestrian circuit
with 3 different routes, properly signed,
in a certified total trail of 8 km's. With a
map and a list of conduct rules, clients
are able to enjoy this activity, knowing a
wine estate to detail, highlighting its
historical points. And, crossing the
orchards, make sure you pick some fresh
fruit!

BIKE TOURISM
Quinta Nova Luxury House Winery is a Bikotel (www.bikotels.com),
receiving enthusiastic cyclists and their bikes. An unforgettable 17km
circuit and private hiking trails through vineyards, orchards and historic
sites are available, boasting a fantastic view along the right river bank.
The extension of these tours in the region is also possible by road or offroad.

TRAIN TOUR (from our station)
The train journey follows the Douro river and you can discover the most
emblematic estates in the region, its vineyards and traditional painted
walls. From the Ferrão halt, next to Quinta Nova, you can leave to other
stations, with the support of our transfer.
Ferrão is a Douro line halt, from where you can follow to stations like
Pinhão, Pocinho, Régua or Porto, among others | The trip Porto - Ferrão

HELICOPTER TOUR (from our heliport)
In the world there are unique places that deserve to be enjoyed from the
sky. Immerse yourself in the valleys covered with vineyards, carved in a
peculiar way, and the multitude of slopes that lead us to the border with

BOAT TOUR (from our pier)
The landscape of the Douro slopes, seen from the river, is a
unique experience only possible through boating. In classic
boats, yachts or sailboats, you can organize short trips, or take
trips with meals and wine tasting on board or picnics with dive
time.

bakery in Provesende, or Magellan birthplace? Perhaps the

numerous possible visits in the region to fill a few days of your
stay.

can be thought in a tailor made mode, with our
partners in the region.
. JEEP TOURS, on and off road, through Ferdinand
Magellan land, along points of historical or
ethnographic interest.
. SPORT ACTIVITIES around the area as biking,
canoeing, slide, hiking, etc., with technical help.
. MOBILE SPA, which can be installed for massages
and treatments, for leisure or relaxing and romantic
moments.
. GOLF, because Quinta Nova is in a central position
between 3 mountain courses: Amarante, Viseu and
Vidago
EVENTS
To have a secular property surrounded by
vineyards is by itself a determining factor of
success. Then just add friends and family and
details for a lunch, a birthday, a baptism, wedding
or vows renewal ... and the result is amazing.
There are several spaces available, especially the
chapel of 1795 and the Conceitus Winery
Restaurant with its terrace bend over the
landscape, always in a perfect marriage between
local gastronomy and Douro and Port wines.

CONDITIONS
Prices: the prices not mentioned are available on asking; the
mentioned prices include VAT. Comissions under commercial deal.
For young people with age between 12 and 17 y.o. the Hotel offers
20% discount on the reservations for the 2nd room.

Previsional Closure: 20th November – 28th December 2016
Transfers: Clients with Accommodation can have free check-in and
check-out transfers to/from Ferrão station and pier. For any extra
transfer 5€/trip. In case of groups, ask for details.
Reservations: The client will give credit card’ info to reserve the
date. For groups, the reservation implies the payment of 30%. The
total cost will be paid during check-out.
Cancelations: For cancellations until 6 days the cost is 100% of the
reservation, and during one year the client can make another one
with no cost, according the rates of the time; or the client can use
the value ordering our wines and gourmet, excluding delivery
expenses.
No Show: Cost of 100% of the reservation.

as Ferrão station.
Choose the boat trip just to our pier and ask us the transfer (3 km’s from QN).
