Search Committee Update
Next Sunday, July 3 our next candidate will be joining us to preach in
the morning services. He will check out CFC and we will get a chance to
get to know him better.
Dear Pastor Stimson, on behalf of Word of Life Camp I would like to
personally thank you and your team for partnering with us through our
National Volunteer Program. We are so thankful for the gracious,
hardworking group of people who came from CFC. The work you do,
improving our camp facilities and properties is critical, and we could not do
it without you. Because of your investment in our ministry, we are
privileged, every year, to see young people and adults come to Christ. We
consider you part of our team, and we look forward to partnering with you
again in the years to come. Thank you so much! Serving those who serve,
Roger Peace, VP Word of Life
SUNDAY SCHOOL FUN DAY TODAY during the regular SS hour!! All classes
are doing games, sensory centers or just coming up with something fun to do
as a class. Parents may want to keep this in mind when deciding on a
"Sunday outfit" :) Also, as a heads up, Sunday School will be having a movie
day in July, and a service project day in August. We look forward to some fun
days this summer! Please contact me with questions. Lori Van Haitsma

One day my housework-challenged husband decided to wash his
sweatshirt. Seconds after he stepped into the laundry room, he
shouted to me, "What setting do I use on the washing machine?”
"It depends," I replied. "What does it say on your shirt?” He yelled
back, "University of Auburn.”
Communication from the Search Committee
The Process for our Co-pastor search
1. Search committee reviewed applicants and chose three that seemed to be
good candidate prospects based on written information, interviews and
references.
2. Each prospective candidate has been invited to preach at the a.m.
services, meet with the elders and deacons, and get a chance for us to
meet each other. This step is not a point of decision for the congregation.
This visit is especially important for the leadership team to help them
make a decision as to whom to invite back as the official Candidate.
3. After all three candidates have visited CFC, the elders and deacons,
prayerfully and under God's direction, will make a decision to officially
invite one man back as the Candidate for the Co-pastor.
4. Prior to the return visit, the congregation will receive background
information on the Candidate.
5. Visit of the Candidate. Besides preaching and meeting with the leadership
team, there will be more planned opportunities for the members at CFC to
spend time with the Candidate and family.
6. Next is the point of decision for the congregation. After the visit the
congregation will have an opportunity to vote on the Candidate.
OUR PRAYERS ARE IMPORTANT AT EVERY STAGE IN THE
PROCESS!!! Prayers for guidance and unity.
