Everything Must Change
Orange Blossom are an exotic hybrid.
Four musicians from different
backgrounds, different cultures, with
different sensibilities. Lead singer, Leila:
dark-eyed, mysterious, French-Algerian a woman with a timeless, evocative
voice. Violinist, PJ: French-born and
classically-trained, an ex-punk with a
healthy disrespect for technique.
Percussionist, Mathias: raised in France,
reborn among the people and
instruments of West Africa. Drummer
(and arranger and programmer) Carlos: a
dreadlocked Mexican with a dog- eared
passport and an attendant sense of
musical adventure. Together, they meld
into a sensual, glorious whole.
Orange Blossom create a new kind of
music, music that references past and
future, crosses cultural and linguistic
borders. Music to dive in to, bliss out to, to
make you giddy, laced with beautiful,
haunting Arabic lyrics, lifted by lush
classical strings, tempered by dark, driving
beats and leftfield electro trance. Sweetsmelling, street-smart dance music.

Way Up!
It‘s June 27th, it‘s halftime, it‘s the
biggest game of my career. I’ve given
everything I had in the first half.
Everything I learned in practice, the Five
albums, the 500,000 units sold, the
multiple #1 singles, the sellout national
tours, the wind sprints, and the push-ups,
culminates with the second half of this
game. I’m ready. My label is ready. The
gang at my new home, Fontana, is
ready. I need to know, ARE YOU
READY?
“Get Down On It” is a monster single, a
radio dominator - a track that sets the
tone for the rest of this game. My team is
legendary, with funk dunker GEORGE
DUKE and BOB “Mr. Hands” JAMES in
the back court, vocal superstar ERIC
BENET and saxophone colossus DAVE
KOZ up front, and yours truly, the T I S,
driving home the melodies down low. But
we can’t do this alone. Our blood, sweat
and tears in the studio are nothing without
you, my friend, the buyer, and your team
on the floors, and, of course, the fans.
Let’s do this together. Let’s bring this
Way Up!

Since winning PD2002 and the ensuing success of
his debut single “That’s What I Do”, which spent

says Blaine … “it's just country music, and it’s real
life”.
With the success current singles “Heartache Like
Mine” and “While We Were Waiting” (Top 10 CMT and

MC and DJ Paul Wall (born Paul
Slayton) grew up as a hardcore disciple
of fellow Houstonian DJ Screw and
became so familiar with the pioneering
DJ's woozy, slowed-down style of
remixing that he had to adjust to hearing
hip-hop at any other tempo. Prior to
making a nationwide breakout in 2005
with a guest spot on Mike Jones' "Still
Tippin'" and his major-label debut, The
People's Champ, Wall was involved with
promotional street teams, DJed parties,
put together underground mixtapes, and
was half of the Color Changing Click with
Chamillionaire. He recorded 2002's Get
Ya Mind Correct with his partner, and
then followed that with 2004's solo Chick
Magnet and 2005’s Live From The
Gridiron.

Live In Iceland
Recorded LIVE in Reykjavik April 22, 2004 on
Violent Femmes first visit to Iceland.
This
recording features six songs as they were
performed, no overdubs.
Over the years Violent Femmes have racked up
millions of frequent flyer miles taking their music
to disparate and/or absurd places ranging from
gay bars to Carnegie Hall, the North Pole (where
they played the northernmost concert in rock
history, schools for the retarded, the Royal Albert
Hall, Woodstock ‘94 and so on in over 400 cities
in 40 countries. They’ve performed in all 50
United States.
They have ten albums out. Their first album has
the distinction of being the only album in the
history of Billboard magazine to achieve platinum
status without ever appearing in the top 200.
But perhaps the most distinctive thing about
Violent Femmes is their relationship with their
fourth member, which is the audience. No other
band in rock has stayed active for as long while
maintaining the same demographic. The Femmes
have some audience members who have grown

up with the band, and even some 3rd
generation families of fans. But for the most
part the audience remains the same high
school and college kids who have always
been the core of the Femmes crowd. This
Picture of Dorian Grey effect is unique in
the world of pop music. Please join the
Femmes in celebrating their third decade of
insanity.

David & The Citizens
Press Quotes:
"Their sound is a sunny, spastic,
orchestrated, multi-layered flavor of
indie pop music, not too far removed
from Neutral Milk Hotel, with a
similar hint of darkness and
melancholy in amongst the sweet
melodies and harmonic vocals... I
personally think it's pretty fantastic"

Key track in bold.
Are You In My Blood
David & the Citizens’ songs speak earnestly of
the great subjects in life - love, loss, and despair through buoyant melodies & beautifully crafted
pop songs. The band’s dramatic live show
displays their more upbeat, party side, but on
record their music comes across as
compassionate, thoughtful, and often
heartrendingly bittersweet.
The band was formed in 1999, when David
Fridlund moved from Stockholm to Malmö,
bringing his four-track with a bunch of songs. He
gathered some people and soon there was a full
band.
In the spring of 2003 the Band once again
teamed up with producer Jens Lindgård (Franz
Ferdinand, St. Etienne etc) to make their second
album “Until the Sadness is Gone”. The CD was a
big success in Scandinavia and received a
Swedish Grammy nomination (Best Pop Group).
The band is currently working in the studio to
complete their third studio album – the first on Bad
Taste Records. All the former elements are still
there, focused on the songs and melodies but with
more interest in darker, colder and more artificial
sounds. The acoustic guitar has now been
replaced by an electric and David & the Citizens
has turned from the joyful pop band to a dark
rock band. Fans won’t be disappointed - David’s
voice is there to comfort. The new album will be
released all over Europe fall 2006.

In Mr. Lemons, Glen Phillips releases his
most focused, honest and direct collection of
songs yet. Produced by Neilson Hubbard, it
features guest vocals by Kim Richey and
Garrison Starr. Recorded in Nashville, the
stripped-down sound captures the atmosphere
of Phillips’s live performances.
Though still in his early 30’s, the Santa
Barbara, CA native’s career has already
spanned two decades. As a high-school kid,
Glen formed the band Toad the Wet Sprocket,
who went on to sell over 3.5 million records.
And his last solo album, Winter Pays For
Summer, was named one of XM Radio’s Top 5
records of 2005.
Daniel Johnston has spent the last 20 or so
years exposing his heartrending tales of
unrequited love, cosmic mishaps, and
existential torment to an evergrowing
international cult audience. Welcome To My
World is a collection of some of Daniel’s
most-beloved songs. These are the songs
that built the legend…a must have for the
legion of devoted Daniel Johnston fans as
well as the perfect introduction for new
listeners.

Gunnerfeldt who produced the latest

Hotnights.
Logh released their first album in January
2002 and have since completed 5
European tours, 200 + shows.
Artwork by the American artist Stephen
O’Malley, who was the art director for
“The Da Vinci Code”!
The Sunday Telegraph, one of the UK’s
leading newspapers had this to say
about their first album: “Goodness, what
are they putting into the Scandinavian
water supply? How else can it be that
every second band that’s any good –
from The Hives and Royksopp to Kings
of Convenience – is either Swedish or
Norwegian? Logh (from Sweden) are
among my very favourite.”

The Tradition Years
Among the most popular woman folksingers of the early 1960’s, Carolyn
Hester was already widely known for
her renditions of traditional material
long before Joan Baez hit the
Cambridge folk scene. Carolyn’s
political activism kept her strongly
aligned with Pete Seeger and it was
Carolyn who offered a young Bob
Dylan his first chance to record in a
studio (he made his harmonica
recording debut on Carolyn’s first
record for Columbia in 1962, which
led to Dylan’s fateful audition with
Columbia label president John
Hammond.) This classic 1961
recording for the Tradition label
captures Carolyn as she was riding
the crest of the folk revival – offering
her soulful take on traditional material
and showing what a great influence
she was on the folk scene of the
sixties.

Throughout
their
career,
the
Trackdirtyaz have consistently chosen
the most unconventional methods of
creating and promoting rap music.
Their debut EP, And Then They
Remembered, was a study of “what
if?”…
What if rap was to mix freely with
electronica?
Where is the line drawn?
Never before has a rap band so
masterfully blended the feelings of punk,
blues, rap, jazz, garage and prog-rock.
Though the band themselves will never
place any title on their music other than
Track Dirty, these styles are felt
throughout the record. The best thing
about the Incarnate is the honesty in
their expression. Not one note or rhyme
is meant to make the band sound like
anyone else on the planet and you
know it.
