The monks of the Drepung Gomang Monastery of Tibet will be
pouring millions of grains colored sand to create mandala. Mandala
is a Sanskrit word meaning “world in harmony.”
October 29, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. opening ceremony, drawing of the
line and creating the mandala.
October 30, 31 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. – creating the sand mandala.
November 2, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. closing ceremony and dismantling
the mandala signifying the impermanence of all that exists.
