THE SECURITY COUNCIL IS SEIZED AND OF TEE STAGE REACHED
IN THEIR CONSIDERATION
Pursuant to Rule 11 of the Provisional Rules of Procedure of the
Sccur~ty
Council) I 8ubnit the following' Sunnnry Statenent of T.mttors of
which the Security Council is seized and of the stagerouchod in thoir
consideration on 10 May 1946.

The Iranian Question.

the third and fifth Doetings oftho Security Council in London.

By letter dated 6 April 1946 and addressed. to the President of the

from the agenda of the Council. _
By letter dated 9 AIJril 1946 end addressed to the Secretary-Go:Q.eral,
the Iranian Ambassador opposed this
~roposnl.
By l,etter d1;,ted 15 A~ril 1946 and addxessed to the President of the
Council, the Iranian Ambassador commmlicated the text of a telegranl from
his Goyornment stating thnt i t l'Tithdrew its cOI:lplaint from the Council.
At the thirty-third meeting the Secretnry-GenerQ,l subrotted a memorandum
to the President of the Oouncil concorning the legal effect of tho above

to the Assembly, in accordonco with Article 21~ of the Charter, on the
