Conditions of Purchase
The Tastes of the Valley, a charity benefit, herein the "seller" reserves the right to refuse admission to, or attendance by, any person at the auction or related events.
The auctioneer is the agent for the seller.
Descriptions for goods and services may not contain all details
concerning purchases, use limitations, specific restrictions and
expiration dates.
Values listed for some items are estimates and carry no warranty.
All wine is sold "as is". Prospective purchasers will be bidding only
as a result of their opinion.
All arranged packages; (dinners, vacations, etc.) must be reserved or arranged at least 30 days in advance unless otherwise
stated.
Unless otherwise stated, package privileges expire one year from
date of auction. It is the responsibility of the recipient to adhere
to all expiration guidelines.
All statements by the seller are merely statements of opinion and
are not to be relied upon by prospective purchasers as warranties
or representations of fact.
Seller does not warrant or represent, and expressly denies responsibility for, the accuracy or description of wines offered, or the
correctness of the catalog, including but not limited to, the
origin, rarity, age, genuineness, quality or condition.
Announcements made during the evening with regard to auction
lots take precedence over the printed catalog.
Before bidding, please read carefully the following conditions of
purchase for all travel packages. Travel packages sold through
Tastes of the Valley Auction contain only those elements bulleted
in the auction lot description.
Expiration dates are not flexible. The donors involved have carefully selected expiration dates. To request an extension beyond
the expiration date could place undue burden on the donor and
jeopardize future donations to Tastes of the Valley.
All reservations (air, transportation, lodging, etc.) must be made
within dates specified in supporting documentation and as contained in the auction lot.

Bidding:
All bidders will be assigned a bid number at registration.
Only registered bidders can participate in the bidding process.
The highest bidder acknowledged by auctioneer during the
live auction shall be the purchaser and therein assumes full
risk and responsibility.
All bids are binding, by raising a bidder paddle; the bidder
warrants that he/she will pay the full purchase price if successful.
A "runner" will bring you a sales slip verifying the amount of
your purchase.
Payment:
All payment shall be in cash, credit card, certified or personal check made payable to Tastes of the Valley.
Credit cards accepted are American Express, Visa or MasterCard.
Full payment must be made for all purchases the evening of
the auction.
Cashiers will accept payment unless purchaser has previously
opted to use the Quick Check method described above.
Item Pick Up:
Purchases must be picked up by the purchaser at the checkout table on your way out.
Tax Deduction:
According to the Internal Revenue Service, only the amount
paid for an auction item "in excess of the actual fair market
value of the prize" is tax deductible. It is the responsibility of
the purchaser to establish the amount of such excess, if any.
For tax purposes, a printed receipt will be issued when you
pay for your items at the Cashier table.
