We will explore John Paul II teachings, prayerfully reflect on them, grow deeper in knowledge, and integrate our faith into our lives. This group is open to everyone in our parish. Volunteers are needed to weed, prune and other landscape maintenance activities. All parishioners are invited, even if available for only an hour, and should bring any equipment that can be used for this type of work. Third Option A confidential "place to go" in crisis or anytime to work on marital relationship skills. Mentor couples who have overcome serious marital difficulties facilitate the program and are a sign of hope through this peer ministry. There are 14 mini-workshops which continually recycle and participants can come in at any time during the 14 weeks. Call 919/753-7309 for more info. 16TH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME/ WEEK 35 “Come and See” RCIA The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults is a process of prayer, reflection and study that teaches participants about the Roman Catholic faith possibly leading to full Christian initiation in the Catholic Church. If you have never been baptized, been baptized in another faith tradition or have not received your First Communion and/or Confirmation, then this is the process for you! The first gathering is for information and inquiry, not commitment. It will take place on Tuesday, September 11th at 7:00 PM in the John Paul II Family Learning Center. The candidate should be an active Roman Catholic in good standing and be able to minister with and to people with compassion, sensitivity, empathy, justice and open to diversity. Have knowledge of the teachings of the Catholic Church. Highly motivated individual who possesses strong verbal and written communication skills and willing to work in a team work atmosphere with strong PC skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Bilingual in Spanish is a plus, but not a requirement. This part-time position requires afternoons and weekends hours.
