AFTERMAN: ASCENSION, out October 9, 2012 on Everything Evil/Universal Music Canada, is in full force.

The storyline behind ‘THE AFTERMAN’ double album, depicts the life of celebrated cosmonaut/astronomer
Sirius Amory, as he embarks on a journey into space, where he makes arguably the greatest scientific
discovery known to mankind. Upon his return however, the sudden death of his wife sparks the realization
that he allowed what was truly important to him slip right through his hands; and the only mission left for him
is to find a way to make amends.
The first volume, ‘Ascension’, charts Sirius’ sci-fi journey into the stars of the alternate universe known well
by Coheed fans as “Heaven’s Fence.” The second volume, ‘Descension’, shows his fall back to his home
planet and the not so warm welcome he receives, followed by a tragedy that unfolds from there.
Directed by Robert Schober (Metallica, Mastodon, Disturbed), the eight-minute long video for “Domino the
Destitute” tells the story of Domino, a boxer who is fast on the rise, but who’s career comes crashing down in
dramatic fashion. Shot in black and white, the video uses classic cinematography and powerful fight scenes,
against a powerful performance delivered by Coheed and Cambria throughout the video.
Fans who pre-order "The Afterman Limited Deluxe Box Set: Amory Award Edition" will receive digital
downloads of both AFTERMAN volumes, ‘Ascension’ and ‘Descension,’ when they are released, a VIP tour
laminate that allows early entry at all Coheed headlining shows, a nearly 2 hour long documentary of
Coheed on the road, a 78 page story, lyric, an artwork book, and much more. Over 5,000 ‘deluxe’ pre-orders
were sold on the first day of availability.
COHEED AND CAMBRIA have been overseas performing at both Reading and Leeds Festivals, and will
return to the U.S. for a string of performances including a date in Toronto.
