wanted to say thank you to the many folks who have added GRRR to your employer donation match
programs. We have seen a fifty-percent increase in companies matching our supporters’ donations. It’s nice
that so many companies encourage community and non-profit involvement. And, it’s even nicer that so many
of you have designated GRRR as your charity of choice.
Even the contributions from online donation programs have increased. Some of these are AmazonSmile,
Wooftrax (donations for walking your dog), iGive for retail purchases, Combined Federal Campaign (CFC)
for state and federal employees, and the list goes on. It seems that there has been a huge increase in charity
giving from the online community as well.
So, thank you very much. Our furry friends and non-furry humans greatly appreciate your support

Don’t miss the upcoming Boulder Reservoir annual reunion picnic on September 10th from
11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. If you haven’t attended this event, you need to check it out. One
hundred fifty dogs and a large body of water, what could be better? We’ll have food, gift
baskets, and a dog ball-toss with prizes. You can see some photos of prior year’s reunions
under “Event Gallery” on our website. It is a relaxing, fun-in-the-shade event. To see doggie
mayhem in the water is hilarious. Don’t miss it.
I know it’s only August, but you are busy people and I wouldn’t want you to miss a special event at
Phoebe’s Place (aka GRRR). This is our annual Halloween event. Dress your dog up in your best, most
creative costume… dress yourself up, too, while you’re at it.
Lots of photos, a costume contest with prizes, food,
and lots of furry and non-furry company. Remember
almost all of our dogs began their new GRRReat life
here at Phoebe’s Place, and they do remember it.
Feel free to check out some of the past event photos
on our website. I’d love to see some innovative, new,
wild-and-crazy costumes. How about a senior dog
dressed as Bernie Sanders, a dog in a pant suit as
Hillary Clinton, a dog with a big fluffy blonde wig as
Donald Trump (it would look… terrific)? Mark your
calendars and get to your favorite fabric store.
