We thank everyone who donated items and volunteered their time at our annual craft fair. We could
not do this without the support of our families,
friends and community!

classes or extended care on Wednesday, 11/26.
The children will be dismissed at 11:30 a.m.

STEWARDSHIP
As committed stewards we take up Jesus’ mandate
to wash the feet of others as He washed the feet of
His disciples.
Jesus tells us, “I have given you a model to follow,
so that as I have done for you, you should also
do.” (John 13:15)
Todays Gospel of Matthew 25 makes it quite clear,
in fact, I don’t think Christ could have been any
clearer, “Whatever you did for the least of my brothers, you did for me.”
As part of our stewardship plan, we are conscious of
how we serve others. We are conscious of our time
spent in prayer and with our families; how we use
our talents in service to others and how we share a
portion of our treasure to further the mission and
ministry of Jesus.
We evaluate our efforts and try often to take-a-step
to do even more to help build God’s kingdom.
It is time to put our faith into action!
We receive the Body of Christ to become the Body
of Christ as stewards in today’s world.
We are the hands of Christ – yours are the hands of
Christ. Reflecting on the words of Saint Teresa of
Avila as a guide, embrace stewardship as a way of
life.
Christ has no body now but yours.
No hands, no feet, on earth but yours.
Yours are the eyes through which He looks
compassion on this world.
Yours are the feet with which He blesses all
the world.
Yours are the hands, yours are the feet.
Yours are the eyes, you are His body.
Christ has no body now on earth but yours.
PRAY FOR OUR MILITARY
Please remember in your prayers all the men and
women who are serving our country in the armed
forces.
Lord, protect them and their families for the selfless
acts they perform for us.
We ask this in the name of Jesus, our Lord.
Amen.

Advent Study Begins November 25
Perhaps the best Christmas gift you could give is one
for yourself. Please consider spending just one hour
a week during the Advent season to spiritually prepare for the beautiful feast of our Lord's birth.
CAFÉ, our adult faith enrichment group, will be offering an Advent Study starting Tuesday, November
25 and continuing on three consecutive Thursdays,
December 4, 11, and 18.
We will meet from 7:00-8:00 pm in the lower level
of the Schneider Parish Center, to read and discuss
the Scripture passages for the upcoming Sunday
Mass.
We will also talk about ways to live out our faith
during the Advent season so that Christmas will be
more meaningful to us.
The study book is optional, and will cost approximately $8. To register, please send email to
[email protected], or call Sue Brown at
610-857-2026.
Advent Daily Reflection from Father Barron
If you would like to receive a daily email reflection
from Father Robert Barron during Advent, you can
sign up by going to http://adventreflections.com/ .
Father Barron offered a similar program during Lent,
and many of our parishioners found it rewarding.
Father Barron’s “Catholicism” Series
on Sunday Mornings
Refresh & Renew, our Adult Sunday School program, is presenting Father Barron’s “Catholicism”
Series each Sunday morning from 9:15-10:45am.
We meet in one of the center classrooms downstairs
at the SPC.
This is open to all parishioners, and you are welcome to drop in any time throughout the school year.
We watch 25 minutes of the DVD presentation, and
then follow up with a very relaxed, faith-filled discussion.
Hope to see you there!

CHRISTMAS GIVING TREE
As we have for the past several years, OLC will be
participating in a Christmas Giving Program for
needy children.
The tags are on the trees at the back of each worship
site. through the weekend of November 29/30.
Please adhere to the following guidelines:
1. $50 per child, no gift cards.
2. If more than one gift is purchased for the
child, please package as one.
3. Mark each gift with the child’s first name,
child, ID and family ID
4. Please return your gift to one of our worship
sites by Friday, December 5.
It’s very important that donors return their gifts by
the December 5 deadline to allow sufficient time for
the coordinators to prepare for the gift distribution.
Thank you so much for participating in this ministry.
For many children, this will be their only Christmas
gift.
If you have any questions, please contact Sandy
Hodorovich at [email protected] or call
484-716-3192.
You may also contact the rectory office.
With the holidays approaching you can help those
who are more needy by placing nonperishable food
items in the containers at the back of each worship
site.
Your donations are greatly appreciated.
On Saturday, December 6, at 7:00pm, at the
Octorara Area High School Auditorium, the
Octorara Area Food Cupboard will sponsor a benefit concert featuring the following chorus and choir groups;

The Mt. Zion AME Church Choir
