PLATINUM WEEKLY,
11 Marais Street,
August belongs to the Ladies
Earlier this month Minister of Women in the presidency, Susan Shabangu, lit a torch at the Union Buildings in Pretoria to launch women’s month, saying it signifies the role women played in a democratic
South Africa.
On Saturday, 9 August, the 1956 march of thousands of women to
the Union Buildings was commemorated across the country through
many activities celebrating the work, leadership, burdens and
achievements of women today, who are the pillars of modern society.
But it was not all serious, and the Platinum Weekly trusts that all our
lady readers were treated with the respect and love they so richly
deserve on women’s day, and that the special treatment will continue
not only through this month, but for the rest of the year and beyond.
A particularly lovely message has been doing the rounds on social
media and cell phones and we would like to share it with our readers.
This is for every woman to make her smile and for every man to make
him realise the worth of the woman in his life;
When she is quiet, millions of things are running through her mind.
When she is not arguing, she is thinking deeply.
When she stares at you, she is wondering why she loves you so
much in spite of being taken for granted.
When she calls you every day, she wants to know how you are doing.
When she SMSs you every day, she wants you to reply at once.
When she says “I love you”, she means it.
When she says “I miss you”, no one in the world can miss you more.
When she says” I will stand by you”, she will stand by you like a rock.
She is said to be the first wonder to man, a priceless treasure, always
special.
Never hurt her or take her wrong or for granted.
