Advent Message:
The Church, as a Mother, invites us in this time to prepare for the Christmas celebration, an adequate
preparation. The prophet Simeon, after so many years of waiting for the Messiah , he exclaims: "Now according to your word Lord, let
your servant go in peace, for my eyes have seen your salvation , which you have prepared
before all people. Let it shine light upon all nations and for glory to your people of Israel"(Luke 2: 29). What joy held Simeon before his
eyes, the Saviour of the world! And that same joy, that we should feel from the bottom of our hearts when we see Jesus presented to the
world in the arms of His Blessed Mother. Christmas reminds us of a past event. It happened 2,000 years ago. But the fact remains. Let
us remember. It was like a birth of any child. God is grafted onto mankind because His Son was born in a family of people. The
hardness of the poor. In the love of those who know loving. For Christians this child is the embodiment of God, in other words, God is
born, cries, laughs, loves, fights, dies... assuming a fully human way. Answer a hope of man.
