Class Registration Form Policies Registration Classes have a limited enrollment and will be filled on a first come, first serve basis. Persons may register for classes at the Wynne Home Arts Center. Students must pay the class fee at registration. Scholarships A limited number of scholarships are available. Scholarships are based on need and early application. Late Registration Persons may register for a class by bringing a registration form and the fee to the first class meeting only if the stated limit for that class was not reached prior to the beginning of class. No one may register after the second class meeting. Discontinued Classes An activity may be cancelled if there is insufficient registration. Cancellations will be decided before the second class meeting. Class Title Fee Refunds Full refunds will be made if a course is cancelled by the Wynne Home Arts Center. Persons who officially withdraw from an activity at any time prior to the second class meeting may receive an 80% refund of fees. No refunds will be made after the second class meeting. There will be a $65 fee per week, regardless whether the student chooses to attend all classes. Session I of Early Bird Art Camp will begin Monday July 11, 2016 @ 9:00a.m. The following information will remain the same throughout each session of the art camp: Trac I: Ages 6 - 7 Meet in Classroom 1 - Drawing - Sculpture in Clay for Kids - Photography Trac II: Ages 8– 9 Meet in Classroom 2 - Photography - Drawing - Sculpture in Clay for Kids Trac III: Ages 10+ Meet in Ceramics Studio - Sculpture in Clay for Kids - Photography - Drawing Early Bird Art Camp Session I: July 11th - 15th Drawing Students will be given the opportunity to explore the foundational aspects of drawing through this classes. Class Size Limit: 8 Instructor: Humphrey Rogers Location: Classroom 1 SCULPTURE IN CLAY FOR KIDS Students will learn simple hand built techniques to make pottery and animal forms like fish, birds, and other things found in nature. Class Size Limit: 8 Instructor: Diane McCoy Location: Ceramics Studio Photography Students will be given the opportunity to expand their creative mindsets through photography in a fun and hands-on way. Students will be learning about things such as composition, color, texture and how to bring them all together to create a successful photograph. Students will also have the opportunity to learn the alternative photo process of shadow prints. Ages: 9 - Adults Date: Tuesday (12, 19) Class Size Limit: 10 Time: 4pm-5:30pm Fee: $15 Instructor: Betsy Maloney Parliamentary Procedure In this class, students will learn about Robert’s Rules of Order, which is the common guide to procedures to be taken while conducting a meeting to make it run smoother. Come take this class to gain some order and learn how to make your meetings more productive. Ages: Everyone is Welcome Class Size Limit: 10 Date: Mondays Time: 5pm-6pm Fee: FREE Instructor: Lee Woodward Welcome to the Island Enjoy an island themed movie with popcorn and chilled drinks. Featured Films include: 1948 - “On an Island with You” starring Esther Williams 1934 - “Were Not Dressing” starring Bing Crosby, Carole Lombard, Burns and Allen, Ethel Merman Ages: Adults & Families w/ children 10+ Class Size Limit: 25 Date: Monday (11th and 18th) Time: 7:00p.m. Fee: FREE Instructor: Ralph Pease Digital Camera Trouble Shooting Learn how to operate your equipment and become familiar with your camera functions. Bring your own digital camera and manual. Ages: 14 - Adult Class Size Limit: 10 Date: Wednesday (July 13,20) Time: 6:00p.m - 8:00p.m. Fee: $20 Instructor: Paul Olle Watercolor Step-by-step Students will paint along with Molly to complete one or more paintings. Watercolor techniques will be explored. Ages: 13 - Adult Class Size Limit: 10 Date: Thursday (14,21) Time: 1pm-3pm Fee: $20 Instructor: Molly Campbell Cooking Class Improve your cooking techniques while at the same time learning to create a variety of recipes including: pies and ____. Ages: 16 – Adult; Under 16 must be accompanied with a guardian Class Size Limit: 8 Date: Saturday (16th and 23rd) Time: 11am-1pm Fee: $45 Instructor: Sharon Rose Ceramics Open Studio This is a special opportunity for individuals who have basic knowledge of pottery to use the studio and equipment. There will be a skilled facilitator on hand for tips and troubleshooting. Ages: Adults or children accompanied by an adult Date: Thursdays Time: 1-3 p.m. Fee: $10 for studio use and $5 for 3 lbs. of clay Pilates Fitness Program for Everyone Based on Joseph Pilates Mat Practice. An all-around mindbody workout that will leave you standing tall, breathing better, toned, strong and stable. If you do not have your own mat, we will have a few available.
