PRINCIPALS NEWS
Guitar Lessons
We are currently trying to organise a teacher to
offer guitar lessons before school. Once this is
finalised the information will be in the newsletter.
Congratulations Angelina
Angelina is off to Wagga on 25-27 August to play
in the North Coast Girls Softball team against
teams from other areas in NSW.
Mathletics Stars
Congratulations to the following students for
mastering Mathletics activities. To master an
activity they need to score above 85%. Michael D
(75%), Latarna M (75.76%) Maddison O (88.46%)
have mastered this percentage of the activities
that they have attempted.
If you have paid for a Mathletics subscription for
your child then the child has 24/7 access to this
program.
MECS Academic Assembly Awardees

Lost Property
We still have an overflowing basket of lost
property. Please check that all of your children’s
jumpers are at home as they may be in our lost
property basket! Labelling clothes increases the
chances of lost items being returned to you.
Staff Training
Mr Kelly, Mr Trotter and myself are in Brisbane
Friday learning about how to best support
effective student learning. In December, Mrs
Chow, Mrs Pickett and Mrs Lollback will be
attending the same course in Sydney.

It was lovely to see so many parents, grandparents
and community members celebrate Education
Week with us on Friday.
We were treated to performances from our
drummers & 2 choirs as well as the presentation
of the SRC badges to the Semester 2
representatives.
After assembly our classrooms were open to
family members to come and see the work that
their child/ren had been working on.
Thank you to our lovely canteen ladies for the
afternoon tea, it was a nice end to a wonderful
day.
Our 1T class have been working
hard this week learning place
values with ones, tens, hundreds
and thousands.
HATS
We ask that parents check their child’s hats to ensure that
they have not accidentally taken another students by
mistake. We have had several parents advise they cannot
find their child’s hat even though it has their name on the
inside.
The canteen
Graffiti is now
finished and we
couldn’t be
happier with the
positive feedback
from students
and parents.
Thank you to Lea
in the canteen for
organising this.
LOST
A pink adult’s cardigan was lost out the front of the school
Thursday afternoon. If found, can you please hand it in to the
