You can’t miss the Festival kick off celebration at SHADE, the hip,
open-air nightlife lounge in W Scottsdale. Hors d’oeuvres provided
by Sushi Roku and specialty cocktails will be flowing throughout
the evening to ensure we start our 33rd year off right. NEW! Enjoy
a three-course dinner before the party at Sushi Roku. Must be 21
or over for admittance.
Beginning with an exquisite sunset cocktail hour while Scottish
bagpipes are played, eight James Beard award-winning
chefs from around the country prepare a multi-course meal
complete with carefully selected wine pairings. Experience this
once-in-a-lifetime collaborative dinner in the company of true
artisans. Must be 21 or over for admittance.
Join award-winning chefs at seven of the Valley’s top
restaurants for a series of exclusive four-course dinners paired
with rich vintage wines. The dinners are limited to 24 attendees
per restaurant to ensure an intimate and savory experience.

THE KICK OFF PARTY
ARIZONA CULINARY HALL OF FAME AWARDS™
Top chefs and restaurant industry professionals from across
Arizona will gather in downtown Scottsdale to honor the
newest members of the Arizona Culinary Hall of Fame. This
event recognizes exceptional chefs, pastry chefs and dining
establishments in the state. Must be 21 or over for admittance.
WEDNESDAY, APRIL 6
CHEF TRIBUTE DINNER:
AN INTERNATIONAL HARVEST WITH
CHEF JEAN-GEORGES VONGERICHTEN
The Chef Tribute Dinner returns to J&G Steakhouse, this time
recognizing world-renowned chef/restaurateur Jean-Georges
Vongerichten. Michelin starred Chef Jean-Georges will prepare a
five-course, wine-paired menu featuring classic dishes from his
restaurants around the world. Must be 21 or over for admittance.
100% of event proceeds fund art and
art education programs in Arizona.
FRIENDS OF JAMES BEARD BENEFIT DINNER
THE CHOCOLATE & WINE EXPERIENCE
Indulge your sweet tooth with chocolate creations from the
Valley’s best pastry chefs expertly paired with unique wines
from around the world and musical entertainment from
Chris Putrino. You’ll feel as if you’ve arrived in heaven with
the chocolate and wine combinations as well as the magical
views from Degree 270, Talking Stick Resort’s 14th floor luxury
lounge. Must be 21 or over for admittance.

EAT, DRINK & BE PRETTY PARTY
Lights. Camera. Fashion! In partnership with 101.5 JAMZ,
this fashion-forward culinary soiree will offer a menagerie
of tastings from local restaurants, varietals of wine, and an
array of cocktails. Runway models will strut breakthrough
styles and must-haves of the moment. Once your appetite for
food and fashion are satisfied, fulfill your craving for fun with
a hot performance from an elite entertainer. Must be 21 or
over for admittance.
CHEF WINE DINNERS
SUNDAY, APRIL 10
WINE COUNTRY BRUNCH™
Indulge in a delectable assortment of brunch favorites paired
with an abundance of wine and champagne at the glamorous,
delicious, Wine Country BrunchTM. The event combines good
tastes with good will by offering an impressive selection of
tantalizing luxury items for your bid at the Brunch’s Silent
Auction. Must be 21 or over for admittance.
BEST OF THE FEST™
The finale! This extravaganza will lift the spirits and please the
palate. Eleven of the Valley’s finest chefs share the stage to
craft a sumptuous five-course, wine-paired feast served in a
beautiful outdoor setting with music by the Carmine D’Amico
Trio. It’s the perfect ending to the nation’s longest-running food
festival. Must be 21 or over for admittance.

GREAT ARIZONA PICNIC™ (GAP)
Sample food from 50+ restaurants and enjoy cooking
demonstrations from local and national chefs. Taste vodkainspired drinks at the SKYY Bar, tequila cocktails at the Patrón
Experience, 200+ beers at the New Belgium Southwest Festival
of Beers or a glass of wine with the Robert Mondavi Discover
Wine Tour. Dance to rocking music performed by bands on two
main stages. Parents and their children can enjoy fun activities
in the Family Zone.

CHALLENGE TO THE CHEFS™
Presented by Ferguson Bath, Kitchen and Lighting
Part of the Great Arizona PicnicTM, this event features chefs
Cullen Campbell, Kelly Fletcher, Josh Hebert and Lenard Rubin
cooking on identical cooktops with identical “mystery baskets” of
ingredients. The challenge: create an appetizer and an entrée —
all within a time limit — and you get to watch every move! Let the
games begin!
