ANNOINTING OF THE SICK: Please contact the parish office at any time and
make arrangements with one of our Priests. In cases of illness, please notify us if you
or a family member would like to receive Holy Communion at home, hospital or
nursing home to make arrangements.
MARRIAGE: Please contact our parish office at least 6 months prior to your
scheduled wedding date, to schedule a meeting with one of our Priests . In your initial
meeting with the Priest couples must bring the following documents: Baptismal
Certificate, First Communion Certificate and Confirmation certificate.
RELIGIOUS EDUCATION: Sacramental preparation for First communion and
Confirmation is offered for Public School students in grades 1 through 10. All children should be registered before attending class. For further information please

THIRD SUNDAY OF EASTER
First Reading: Acts 2:14, 22‑33
After the Holy Spirit descends upon the
apostles, Peter preaches with great enthusiasm
to both Jews and Christians. He recalls for them in vivid
terms the miracles and wonders that Jesus performed.
Second Reading: 1 Peter 1:17‑21
Peter makes reference to the Passover, when the Jews
escaped from Egypt because the blood of the paschal lamb
was shed. Now they are being saved from sin by the blood of
Christ, the Lamb of the New Testament.
Gospel: Luke 24:13‑35
Jesus reveals Himself to two disciples on the way to Emmaus.
After explaining to them the passages in Scripture which
referred to Him, Christ “took bread, broke it, and distributed
it to them.” Then they recognized Christ and their “hearts
burned within them.”

The dismissal at the end of each Mass is a charge given to
Christians, inviting them to work for the spread of the
Gospel and the imbuing of society with Christian values.
The Eucharist not only provides the interior strength needed
for this mission, but is also in some sense its plan. For the
Eucharist is a mode of being, which passes from Jesus into
each Christian, through whose testimony it is meant to
spread throughout society and culture. For this to happen,
each member of the faithful must assimilate, through
personal and communal meditation, the values which the
Eucharist expresses. One fundamental element is found in
the very meaning of the word “Eucharist”: thanksgiving.
This transcendent point of reference, which commits us
constantly to give thanks for all that we have and are, it is
also a project of solidarity for all of humanity. The Christian
who takes part in the Eucharist learns to become a promoter
of communion, peace and solidarity in every situation, a
practical commitment to building a more just and fraternal
society, practical sharing with the poor: by bending down to
wash the feet of his disciples (Jn 13,1), Jesus explains the
meaning of the Eucharist unequivocally.

One of the seven spiritual works of
mercy is to pray for the living and the
dead. It is very important to pray for the intentions of both
the living members of our family, as well as for the repose
of the souls of our beloved family members by scheduling a

Primera Lectura: Hechos 2:14, 22-33
Luego de que el Espíritu Santo descendió sobre
los apóstoles, Pedro predicó con gran entusiasmo
tanto a los judíos como a los cristianos. Les recuerdó con gran
detalle los milagros y maravillas que Jesús ha hecho.
Segunda Lectura: 1 Pedro 1:17-21
San Pedro hace referencia a las festividades de pascua, cuando
los judíos escaparon de Egipto pues la sangre del cordero pascual había sido derramada. Ahora se salvarían del pecado por
medio de la sangre de Cristo, el Cordero del Nuevo Testamento.

Jesús se muestra a dos discípulos en camino a Emaús. Luego
de explicarles los pasajes de las Escritura que se refieren a El,
Cristo “tomó el pan, lo partió, y se los dió.” Entonces ellos
reconocieron a Cristo y “el corazón les ardía en el pecho”.

La despedida al finalizar la Misa es como una consigna que
impulsa al cristiano a comprometerse en la propagación del
Evangelio y en la animación cristiana de la sociedad.
La Eucaristía no sólo proporciona la fuerza interior para dicha
misión, sino también, en cierto sentido, su proyecto. En efecto,
la Eucaristía es un modo de ser que pasa de Jesús al cristiano y,
por su testimonio, tiende a irradiarse en la sociedad y en la
cultura. Para lograrlo, es necesario que cada fiel asimile, en la
meditación personal y comunitaria, los valores que la Eucaristía
expresa. Es decir la acción de gracias: [la Eucaristía] nos obliga
a un continuo “dar gracias” por lo todo lo que tenemos y
somo; el camino de la solidaridad: el cristiano que participa en
la Eucaristía aprende de ella a ser promotor de comunión, de
paz y de solidaridad en todas las circunstancias de la vida, al
servicio de los últimos, un compromiso activo en la edificación
de una sociedad más equitativa y fraterna.: inclinándose para
lavar los pies a sus discípulos (cf. Jn 13,1), Jesús explica de
modo inequívoco el sentido de la Eucaristía.

d’été. Ils vont avoir du plaisir d’apprendre beaucoup plus sur
leur foi en Dieu, faire des visites de terrain et d’autres
activités spéciales chaque semaine. Le petit déjeuner et le
repas du midi sont inclus. Les Educateurs Religieux sont vos
amis, collègues paroissiens et ont reçu la formation sur la
Sécurité de l’Environnement offerte par l’Archidiocèse. Pour

Intention de Messe
L’une des sept œuvres de miséricorde spirituelle est de prier pour les vivants et les morts. Il
est très important de prier pour les membres
vivants de votre famille ainsi que pour le repos
des âmes de ceux qui vous aviez connus et aimés. Vous
pouvez passer au presbytère pour programmer, tout au long
de l’année, les intentions de messe à célébrer pour vos chers.
VOIR, COMPRENDRE ET CROIRE
Les linges sont toujours en place, affaissés. Rien n’a bougé,
mais le corps n’est plus là. Comme parti de l’intérieur. Incompréhensible, strictement. Le disciple que Jésus aimait
aperçoit ces linges. Pierre les contemple. Mais tout est insensé. Qui aurait pu avoir l’idée d’emporter le corps nu en
remettant tout en place? Et pourquoi? Soudain, entrant à son
tour, le disciple voit. Il voit l’invisible. Il «voit» comme on dit:
“Je vois ce que tu veux dire.” Autrement dit, il comprend. Il
comprend la réalité de ce que Jésus avait annoncé. Alors, il
croit ce que Jésus avait dit. Il voit maintenant qu’il “fallait
que Jésus ressuscite d’entre les morts” Il y a là d’abord un fait
brut, qui s’impose: le tombeau est ouvert, tout est resté en
place comme au vendredi soir, mais le corps de Jésus n’est
plus là… Reste à comprendre, à interpréter ces indices. La
foi en l’annonce que Jésus fait de sa résurrection permet cette
interprétation. La rencontre du -Ressuscité vient confirmer
qu’on a bien fait de croire, ou vient susciter cette foi. Au soir
de Pâques, le Seigneur fera une longue catéchèse avec les
disciples d’Emmaüs. Il ouvrira leur esprit à l’intelligence des
Écritures. Et il leur apprendra à revenir au geste si surprenant
du Jeudi saint: anticipation de sa venue en gloire, réalisation
de sa présence. L’Eucharistie célébrée dans la foi demeure,
jusqu’au retour du -Seigneur, la manifestation permanente du
