FHS grad earns honors at MSU
Kristin S. Bialik, daughter of Henry and Janice Bialik of
Fruitport Township, graduated
with honors from Michigan State
University on May 8, 2010 where
she majored in interior design.
Kristin is a member of the
American Society of Interior
Design, and was an active
member of the MSU Interior
Design Student Organization
for her entire college career.
During the past four years, she
chaired the fundraisers for the
organization.

interned with Art Van’s Corporate Office in Warren, Michigan.
She is presently vigorously pursuing the job market.•
GVSU to hold a community
leadership speaker series

Grand Valley State University will be hosting a leadership
series featuring community leaders from the Muskegon and
surrounding areas.
On October 5, Muskegon County Commissioner Robert
Scolnik is the featured speaker.
Judith Hayner, executive director of the Muskegon Museum of Art, is the speaker on October 26.
Muskegon County’s judicial system is the topic for the
Honorable Judge Gregory Pittman on November 16.
The final speaker is Dr. Thomas J. Hass, president of Grand
Valley State University, on December 7.
All sessions will be held at 7 p.m. in the Stevenson Center
for Higher Education, 221 S. Quarterline Road, Muskegon, in
room 1100.

Vienna Boys Choir to make
Muskegon appearance

The West Michigan Symphony is pleased to present the
Vienna Boys Choir in concert on Wednesday, November 10,
2010 at 7:30 p.m.
The choir is one of the best known boys choirs in the
world, and has been a symbol of Austria for nearly 500 years.
The choir is a private, non profit organization with 100 members, ages 10 to 14. They have four touring choirs named after
famous composers: Bruckner, Haydn, Mozart and Schubert.
The combined choirs perform 300 concerts each year.
Their Muskegon performance will be held at the Frauenthal Theater, 425 W. Western Avenue.
Tickets are $15 to $45 for adults; $10 for students (in person). Tickets are on sale now at www.WestMichiganSymphony.
