Council in Upper School.

We’re at the Top of the Class in:
• Creating a loving, God-honoring, vibrant school atmosphere
where achievement in the classroom and lab, as well as on
the field and stage, is respected, earned and celebrated.
• Preparing students for the challenges of college and life
beyond a classroom.
We’re Proud of Our Students for:
• Consistently ranking in the top 5-15% on nationally normed
tests like the SAT, ACT, and Stanford 10. Our students have
earned national recognition in the Duke Talent Identification
Program and an impressive two Blue Ribbon School awards.
• Achieving excellence in the core curricular areas while
exploring more than 100 electives available in Middle and
Upper School such as the award-winning Marching Band,
Theater Production, Auto-CAD, Robotics, Understanding
the Times, The Life of Jesus, CrossFit, Strength and
Conditioning, Business Law, Marine Biology and more than
a dozen Advanced Placement classes for college credit.
Our Learning Environment Is:
• Unique! With almost 250 acres that include a wildlife
preserve and a Civil War battleground, our Chatham
Parkway campus is filled with outdoor classrooms and room
to be creative and inspired.
• Diverse! SCPS is home to students from coastal Georgia,
South Carolina and around the world. Our new International
Program, along with our existing range of nationalities and
cultures, allows our school family to reflect the beauty of
God’s creation.
• Transitioning! Because of a new $100,000 grant from
the Maclellan Foundation, the Weeks Media Center is
transforming from a library to a digital learning resource
center. A relevant, engaging school environment must
evolve for the ever-changing digital landscape.
Our Parents Get an “A” for:
• Choosing and supporting SCPS. Our parents have made
us the largest private school in south Georgia, giving us the
reach that attracts the best teachers and the attention of
college professors, admission officers, athletic directors, art
professionals and scholarship organizations.
• Working closely with our school and their church to create
a strong bond for the children. When we work together—
parents, school and church—we can impact a child for
eternity.

Our Mission:
• We are a Christian school of academic excellence. Our
key verse is Luke 2:52, which provides our daily directive
to develop students intellectually, spiritually, physically
and interpersonally. Our students are ready for success
because of academic excellence and a thoughtfully
applied faith based on a distinctly Christocentric
worldview.
Our Distinctives:
• SACS AdvancED Global Accreditation status, the
highest level of accreditation a school can attain, with
fewer than 10% of schools nationwide achieving this
level of academic excellence. Stanford 10 scores in the
top 15% of the nation. The graduating class of 2015
averaged $5.45 million in college scholarships.
• Research-based school incorporating formalized MLA
and APA learning. Why? We are all about preparing
your student for the future!
• One to One Technology in Pre-K4 through 12th grade,
integrating technology into every facet of a student’s
educational experience. This means that the Google
Education Suite is used in daily classroom teaching.
By incorporating real-world instruction, we train our
students to be proficient digital citizens ready for the
world ahead.
Tomorrow’s Leaders:
• Leadership emphasized. This year our students devoted
more than 11,400 hours of community service and
raised more than $55,000 for charity. We also enjoyed
more than 40 student-directed chapel services where
student-leaders impacted their peers.
• Attending the top schools in our nation including
Auburn, Clemson, Furman, Georgia Regents University
Medical School, Georgia Tech, Harvard, Johns Hopkins,
Mercer, MIT, UGA, UNC, USC, U.S. Naval Academy and
numerous others.
