A Message from our President...
2015 can you believe, it’s here and we can’t do anything about it. I
hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
I want to remind everyone that we will be collecting canned
goods for the local food pantries at our January dance. We also will
be collecting items for the Backpack program in March and will be
supplying a list of the items needed for this project.
At our January dance, dinner will be served by the Moose
Lodge. The dinner will consist of Spaghetti and meatballs, salad,
bread and your choice of water or iced tea. The cost will be $6.00
per person. We will be selling tickets at the first table after you
check in.
I am reaching out to all members who would like to
volunteer in some way with the Coastal Shag Club. We could
always use help at the door, the 50/50, setting up prior to our

2015 January Food Drive
A Food Drive of non-perishable foods will be held at our January 17, 2015 dance and
donated to our local food bank. This is an annual tradition our club has done for years and
just one of the ways we support our community. We thank our members for their
contributions and generosity!
2015 SOS Parade- Saturday, April 25th, 2015!!
The SOS Spring Safari Parade is coming in April 2015. Who wants to enter the parade
either with cars, golf carts, or walking? If so, let your board members know if you’re
interested. We have a few months to brainstorm. This year’s theme is 3rd beginning. It
is a HUGELY fun activity we’ve done in the past (even won a prize!) Or email your

CSC sends “Care Cards” to our members for birthdays, celebrations, get well,
sympathy, etc. If you know of anyone who needs some support, a cheer, or a little extra

out some sunshine, as a reminder letting them know we care.

Every first Thursday of the month the CSC Board Meeting is held at the Shallotte Moose
Lodge—253 Holden Beach Road, Shallotte, NC, at 6:00pm and lasts about an hour, or so.
CSC Members are welcome to attend and contribute! Minutes are emailed out monthly.

Coastal Shag Club 2015 Membership Drive
It is time to renew your membership with the Coastal Shag Club or to join for the first
time! This, of course, means paying your dues for 2015. There are two ways of paying
dues:
Option 1: GOLD MEMBER STATUS
Make a one-time payment of $60.00 per person. This option serves two purposes.
The club member does not have to pay the $5.00 admission at the door each month and all
dues are paid in advance. You save $30.00 per year if you attend every dance. If a new
Gold Member pays in November, as a bonus, he/she is admitted to the December dance free.
Option 2: SILVER MEMBER STATUS
Make a one-time payment of $30.00 per person. The member must also pay the $5.00
each month at the door. If you come to every dance, you will have paid $30.00 extra with
this option. If you choose this option, you may join at any time during the year.
ASSOCIATE MEMBER (Guests)
Guests are considered ASSOCIATE MEMBERS. Guests who are members of any
shag club pay $5.00 at the door. All shag club memberships are honored. Admission for a
guest who is not a member of a shag club is $8.00.
