Letter from the President
Alright Coastal Shaggers,
It’s time to emerge from the hibernation of your winter sleep. I hope you got lots of rest
because you are going to need all of the energy you can muster to enjoy all of the good
times and great venues that await you over the next couple of months.
SOS is just a couple of weeks away. Two
weekends starting with our April dance, with the
SOS Parade and Spring Break for Seniors in
between. What is really great about this area is that
there is a great mix of indoor and outdoor venues.
If you desire the atmosphere of an indoor “club”,
you’ve got Fat Harold’s, Duck’s or 2001. If, on the
other hand, you want to dance AND enjoy being
outdoors, you’ve got HOTO’s, Boom Boom’s,
Docksider’s or the Pavilion. I’m certain that I have
omitted someone’s favorite. The point is, you have
lots of choices here in Paradise. Get out there and
enjoy them! Also remember, the more the
merrier!! If you are going out, call a few other club members and organize a group.
Speaking of getting together, please consider participating in the May 4th Relay for Life
dance exhibition at West Brunswick High School. There will be a sign-up sheet at the
April 21st dance.

the nation's largest stayin-school network. CIS of
Brunswick County is a nonprofit organization
initiated in 1995. It is a
community-based, public/
private partnership that
strives to keep kids in
school, graduate and
become productive
members of the
community. Donations are accepted at
any time. The only things
we do not take are TVs,

Coastal Shag Club Eats Out At Chili's!!!
Everybody plan to take a break in the kitchen and come out to eat at the
Shallotte Chili's restaurant for a club fund raiser. Chili's has offered CSC the
opportunity to raise charitable funds simply by enjoying their delicious food!
What do you have to do? Bring yourself, your family, your friends, and your
neighbors to Chili's on
Tuesday, April 24, 2012
between 6pm and
10 pm. Once there, let Chili's know your with the Coastal Shag Club and Chili's
will donate 10% of the entire bill back to our club. It is that easy.
It is a win-win for everyone, so mark your calendar and come hungry!!!
