*** A 4x3 Safe area must be maintained with all HD material.
This is due to the fact that many of our viewers still watch our stations and your
advertisements on Standard Definition 4x3 aspect ratio television sets. Our cable and
satellite distribution partners as well as all “Set Top Boxes”, by default, center cut
the 16x9 HD material during the down conversion process. Therefore any important
information outside this area will not be seen on 4x3 televisions. For example:

Note on File Size/Compression
Uncompressed video files and/or files with bitrates that are too high
tend to be very large and are prone to transmission and processing
issues that lead to playback problems or transcoded file corruption.
Bitrates below the recommended rates can cause jittering and/or
smearing.
If you have any technical questions regarding delivery, please pass
them through your WRIC Account executive, so they can reach out to
the appropriate person to answer your questions.
