LISTEN TO OUR WEEKLY PODCAST • HarpethHills.org/sermons ENCOUNTER Spiritual Retreat • October 22-23 Adults are invited to come away for a weekend of personal reflection, solitude and silence, prayer, and communion with God. This two-day retreat is held at The Retreat at Center Hill Lake and includes lodging, food, and retreat materials. Cost is $100/person or $150/couple. All participants stay in private lodgings. Information and sign-ups: HarpethHills.org/encounter During the month of October, we look at what Jesus said about money and material possessions. We look at both the dark and light side of money. We are also reminded of the many ways God’s Kingdom is advancing because of the generosity of Harpeth Hills. Jesus discussed money often. In fact, he said more about possessions than any other topic except the Kingdom of Heaven. Scholars tell us that one in every six verses in the New Testament has something to do with money and almost half of the parables of Jesus (17 out of 36) deal with stewardship. Bathe this month in prayer. Ask God to continue to convict us about what is most important.
