UVOD
INTRODUCTION
Za Nansen dijalog mrežu i Globalno partnerstvo za prevenciju
oružanih sukoba na Zapadnom Balkanu 2011. godina
posebna je po brojnim dostignućima. Ove godine obeležava
se 150 godina od rođenja Fridtjofa Nansena, norveškog
naučnika, istraživača, diplomate i humanitarca čije ime nosi
naša mreža. Principi po kojima je živeo i radio ovaj veliki
čovek, koji je 1922. godine dobio Nobelovu nagradu za mir,
integralni su deo pristupa Nansen dijalog mreže u procesima
dijaloga i izgradnje mira na Zapadnom Balkanu.
The year 2011 is a special year for the Nansen Dialogue Network
(NDN) and the Global Partnership for The Prevention of Armed
Conflict (GPPAC) in the Western Balkans because of many
achievements. This year we celebrate 150 years since the birth of
Fridtjof Nansen, the Norwegian scientist, explorer, diplomat and
humanitarian after whom our network has been named. The
principles by which this great man who was awarded the Nobel
Peace Prize in 1922 lived and worked are an integral part of
NDN’s approach to dialogue and peacebuilding processes in the
Western Balkans.
Početkom oktobra dobili smo izuzetnu vest, naime
međunarodni žiri dodelio je Nansen dijalog centru Skoplje
Max van der Stoel nagradu za 2011. godinu za izvanredan
rad na promociji integrisanog obrazovanja i unapređenju
saradnje različitih etničkih zajednica.
At the beginning of October we received great news, the
International Jury decided to award 2011 Max van der Stoel
Award to Nansen Dialogue Centre Skopje (NDC Skopje) for their
outstanding work to promote integrated education and improve
co-operation between different ethnic communities.
Nansen dijalog centri i Globalno partnerstvo za prevenciju
oružanih sukoba - GPPAC, kao i prethodnih godina obeležili su
Međunarodni dan mira, 21. septembar. Članice GPPAC,
nastavnici i mirovni edukatori u regionu Zapadnog Balkana
na ovaji dan organizovale su brojne aktivnosti.
Nansen Dialogue Centres and the Global Partnership for the
Prevention of Armed Conflicts (GPPAC) celebrated 21 September,
the International Day of Peace, on which occasion GPPAC
members in the Western Balkans, teachers and peace educators
organised a number of activities.
Kako se 2011. godine obeležava 150 godina od rođenja
Frdtjofa Nansena, Nansen dijalog centri su na Međunarodni
dan mira otvorili regionalni likovni konkurs „Fridtjof Nansen –
čovek koji je gradio mir“. Kao i 2010. godine, 12 odabranih
radova ilustrovaće mirovni kalendar za 2012. godinu.
Given the fact that the year 2011 has been declared the Fridtjof
Nansen year and in order to celebrate his 150th birthday, Nansen
Dialogue Centres launched on the International Day of Peace an
arts competition titled Fridtjof Nansen - The Man Who Was
Building Peace. As was the case in 2010, the 12 winning art works
will illustrate the 2012 Peace Calendar.
Koncept Međunarodnog dana mira postoji od 1981. godine
kada su članice Ujedinjenih nacija usvojile deklaraciju kojom
se treći četvrtak u septembru obeležava kao Međunarodni
dan mira, posvećen podizanju svesti o važnosti kreiranja
mira među pojedincima i nacijama. Od 2001. godine UN
Međunarodni dan mira dobija svoje mesto u kalendaru
Ujedinjenih nacija. Svake godine od tada brojne organizacije i
pojedinci širom sveta obeležavaju 21. septembar ukazujući na
značaj mira i prevencije sukoba.
The initiative to celebrate the International Day of Peace started
in 1981 after the UN members adopted the Declaration by which
the third Thursday in September was to be marked as the
International Day of Peace, dedicated to raising awareness of
building peace amongst individuals and nations. In 2001, the UN
proclaimed 21 September as the International Day of Peace. Ever
since, a network of institutions, organisations and individuals
around the world have celebrated this day, pointing to the
importance of peace and conflict prevention.

GPPAC ACTIVITIES IN THE WESTERN BALKANS
Preuzevši ulogu regionalnog inicijatora i Regionalnog
sekretarijata za GPPAC 2004. godine, Nansen dijalog centar
Srbija proširio je delevanje na osnovu postojećih kapaciteta
Nansen dijalog mreže. Nansen dijalog centri imali su cilj da
osiguraju učešće organizacija koje su bile aktivne u izgradnji
mira tako što su ih pozvali da uzmu učešće u regionalnoj
mreži; ove grupe već niz godina sarađuju kao mreža. U maju
2010. godine Regionalna savetvodavna grupa izabrala je NDC
Crna Gora za GPPAC regionalni sekretarijat za Zapadni
Balkan.
By taking on the role as the Regional Initiator and the
Regional Secretariat for GPPAC in the Western Balkan region
in 2004, NDC Serbia could build on the existing Nansen
Dialogue Network. Nansen Dialogue Centres aimed to ensure
participation of organisations active in peacebuilding at the
local level by inviting CSOs from the region to participate in
the regional network; these groups have now been involved
together as a network for a number of years. In May 2010,
Regional Steering Group members elected NDC Montenegro
as GPPAC Western Balkans Regional Secretariat.

OBRAZOVANJE ZA MIR
Regionalne aktivnosti obrazovanja za mir
imaju cilj da:
Unaprede kapacitete nastavnika i mirovnih
edukatora za primenu veština i tehnika
transformacije sukoba, uključujući školsku
medijaciju kao jednu od tehnika za nenasilno
rešavanje sukoba u školama;
Učvrste bližu saradnju nastavnika, mirovnih
edukatora i ministarstava prosvete da bi se
podržala
implentacija
Sveobuhvatnog
pristupa u obrazovanju za mir i integrisanje
obrazovanja za mir u nastavne programe i
sadržaje,
Doprinesu miru u školama i zajednicama u
regionu.

DIJALOG I MEDIJACIJA
INSTITUCIONALNA PODRŠKA
Program je kreiran na osnovu prethodnih
iskustava i saradnje sa lokalnim vlastima, kao i
dobrih rezultata koje je mreža GPPAC Zapadni
Balkan ostvarila u tom polju. Cilj aktivnosti je
izgradnja kapaciteta nadležnih predstavnika
lokalnih vlasti kroz obuke o dijalogu i
medijaciji. Mnoge EU preporuke i napori
državnih činilaca direktno su povezani sa
harmonizacijom
i
implementacijom
neophodnih promena u dnevnim praksama,
najčešće na lokalnom nivou.
Institucionalna podrška i zakonski okvir neophodni su za uspešnu primenu
programa obrazovanja za mir. GPPAC na Zapadnom Balkanu proširio je svoju
mrežu i unapredio saradnju sa državnim zvaničnicima uključivši ih aktivno u
program obrazovanja za mir i nenasilno rešavanje sukoba, kao i u rad GPPAC
Radne grupe za obrazovanje za mir. Savetnici Ministarstva prosvete i nauke
Republike Srbije i Ministarstva prosvjete i sporta Crne Gore aktivni su članovi
GPPAC Radne grupe za obrazovanje za mir od 2008. godine.
Novi program okuplja predstavnike lokalnih
vlasti, zajednica opština i gradova i nadležnih
ministarstava sa ciljem da se izgradi njihov
kapacitet za dijalog i medijaciju kako bi se
doprinelo efikasnijem i evropskom stilu rada.
Na osnovu rezultata realizovanih regionalnih projekata i dobijene
institucionalne podrške, NDC Crna Gora i NDC Srbija – ključni GPPAC partneri
na Zapadnom Balkanu realizuju regionalni projekat „Obrazovne institucije
implementiraju obrazovanje za mir“, koji 2011. godine finansira ifa Projekt
zivik, iz Nemačke. Cilj projekta je osnaživanje saradnje između institucija
(Ministarstva prosvete, Zavoda za unapređivanje obrazovanja / Zavoda za
školstvo) i nastavnika – praktičara iz Crne Gore i Srbije tako što će zajedno
raditi na uvođenju vrednosti i sadržaja obrazovanja za mir u postojeće
nastavne sadržaje i primenjivati Sveobuhvatni pristup. U 2012. i 2013. godini,
naglasak će biti na primeni i definisanju sadržaja u okviru postojećih školskih
predmeta uz podršku državnih aktera.
IZGRADNJA MIRA I RODNA RAVNOPRAVNOST
2010. godine GPPAC kontakt osobe za rodnu ravnopravnost mapirale su organizacije i stručnjake za rodnu ravnopravnost u
regionu. GPPAC Zapadni Balkan uključio je rodnu perspektivu kroz implementaciju programskih proriteta: Obrazovanje za mir i
Dijalog i medijacija.

PEACEBUILDING AND GENDER
DIALOGUE AND MEDIATION
In 2010 regional Gender Focal Points finalised mapping of gender expertise in the
region. GPPAC Western Balkans integrates gender perspective through implementing
thematic priorities / programmes: Peace Education and Dialogue and Mediation.
Having built on previous experience
and cooperation with the regional
local authorities where GPPAC
Western Balkans created good
results the programme will focus
efforts on building the capacities of
relevant
local
authorities’
representatives
through
the
trainings
on
dialogue
and
mediation. Many of the EU
recommendations and efforts of
the state actors go in line with
harmonizing and implementing the
required changes into daily
practice, most often at the local
level.
INSTITUTIONAL SUPPORT
In order to have a successful implementaton of Peace Education programmes,
institutional suppport and legal framework are essential. GPPAC Western Balkans
expanded their network and strengthened their relationship with government officials
by actively engaging them in the implementation of the Peace and Conflict Resolution
Education Project and also in the work of GPPAC Peace Education Working Group.
Counsellors of the Ministry of Education and Science of Serbia and the Ministry of
Education and sports of Montenegro have been active members of the GPPAC PE
Working Group since 2008.
Based on the achievements of the regional projects implemented and institutional
support received, NDC Montenegro and NDC Serbia – the key GPPAC Western Balkans
partners have been implementing the regional project Educational Institutions
Implement Peace Education in 2011 (funded by ifa Projekt zivik Germany). The project
aims to strengthen collaboration between institutions (Ministries of Education,
Institutes for Education Advancement) and teachers-practitioners from Montenegro
and Serbia by working together towards incorporating values and contents of Peace
Education (PE) into existing curricula and applying the Whole School Approach. In 2012
and 2013, the emphasis will be on applying the defined contents into existing school
subjects, with the support from state actors.

contribute to a more efficient and

Ključni rezultati oktobar 2010 – oktobar 2011:
Novembar 2010: održan je napredni trening „Forum teatar i
nenasilno rešavanje sukoba u školama“ za nastavnike i
mirovne edukatore iz Crne Gore, Srbije, Makedodnije,
Hrvatske i Bosne i Hercegovine;
Decembar 2010: objavljen je kalendar LJUDI GRADE MIR, na
osnovu rezultata regionalnog likovnog konkursa;
April 2011: održani su konsultativni sastanci timova koji
sprovode projekat „Obrazovne institucije implementiraju
obrazovanje za mir“ u Srbiji i Crnoj Gori;
Jul 2011: održan je prvi regionalni sastanak timova iz Crne
Gore i Srbije. Rezultati sastanka su akcioni planoci za
integraciju obrazovanja za mir na tri nivoa: školskom,
državnom i regionalnom (saradnja između Crne Gore i
Srbije);
Oktobar 2010: NDC Srbija bio je gost Ministarstva prosvete
Republike Srbije na Sajmu obrazovanja u Beogradu. Prilikom
gostovanja predstavljena su i podeljena
dva izdanja
priručnika za mirovne edukatore;
Septembar 2011: implementacija aktivnosti predviđenih
akcionim planovima iz jula 2011. godine i obeležavanje
Međunarodnog dana mira uključeni su u Godišnji školski plan
OŠ „Marko Miljanov" iz Podgorice. Na sličan način,
obrazovanje za mir uključeno je u Godišnji školski plan OŠ
„Milija Nikčević“ iz Nikšića, kao i u nastavni program ove
škole. Oformljen je Tim za implemenaciju obrazovanja za mir
u OŠ „Učitelj Tasa“ u Nišu. Takođe, nastavničko veće ove
osnovne škole podržalo je projekat „Obrazovne institucije
implementiraju obrazovanje za mir“ i obavezalo se da će se
uključiti u aktivnosti povodom obeležavanja Međunarodnog
dana mira.
Oktobar 2010: Državni sekretar za obrazovanje pri
Ministarstvu prosvete RSi i Ministarstvo prosvjete i nauke
Crne Gore podržali su regionalni likovni konkurs za učenike
pod nazivom „Ljudi grade mir“ koji je raspisao NDC Srbija;
Septembar 2011: Mreža škola, mirovnih edukatora i
aktivista, učesnika GPPAC projekta „Obrazovne institucije
implementiraju obrazovanje za mir“, na Međunarodni dan
mira uputila je poruke mira svojim školskim kolegama i
sugrađanima. Akcija se istovremeno odvijala u mnogim
gradovima u regionu kao što su: Sombor, Nikšić, Beograd,
Podgorica, Ulcinj, Zrenjanin, Kraljevo, Inđija, Bujanovac i
mnogi drugi;
Oktobar 2011: Regionalni likovni konkurs „Fridtjof Nansen –
čovek koji je gradio mir“ dobio je zvaničnu podršku ministra
prosvete i nauke Republike Srbije i pomoćnika ministra
prosvjete i sporta Crne Gore.

Key achievements October 2010-October 2011:
October 2010: NDC Serbia was a guest of the
Serbian Ministry of Education at the Education Fair
in Belgrade. Two editions of handbooks for peace
educators were exhibited and distributed;
October 2010: Serbian State Secretary of the
Ministry of Education and Montenegrin Ministry of
Education supported the regional People Building
Peace Arts Competition launched by NDC Serbia;
November 2010: Forum Theatre and Conflict
Transformation in Schools: advanced training for
teachers and peace educators from Montenegro,
Serbia, Macedonia, Croatia and Bosnia-Herzegovina;
December 2010: Calendar PEOPLE BUILDING PEACE
was published as a result of the regional arts
competition;
April 2011: consultative meetings of the teams
implementing Educational Institutions Implement
Peace Education project in Montenegro and Serbia;
July 2011: first regional planning meeting of the
teams from Montenegro and Serbia. Outcomes of
the meeting were Action Plans for integration of PE
at three levels: school level, country level and
regional level (cooperation between Montenegro
and Serbia).
The activities aimed to strengthen capacities for conflict prevention
in schools, create a collection of PE experiences, raise visibility of PE
activities and improve networking amongst the participants of the
project.
September 2011: implementation of the activities outlined in the
Action Plans created in July 2011. Educational Institutions
Implement Peace Education and celebration of the International Day
of Peace were included in the annual school plan of "Marko
Miljanov" Primary School in Podgorica. Similarly, Peace Education
was included in the annual school plan of "Milija Nikčević" Primary
School in Nikšić as well as in the school curricula. A team for
implementation of Peace Education was formed at "Učitelj Tasa"
Primary School in Niš. In addition, the Teachers’ Council of this
school supported the project Educational Institutions Implement
Peace Education and committed to be engaged in all activities
regarding the International Day of Peace.
September 2011: A network of schools, peace educators and
activists, the participants of GPPAC's Educational Institutions
Implement Peace Education project, shared peace messages with
their colleagues and fellow-citizens. Activities took place
simultaneously in many cities in the region, such as: Sombor, Nikšić,
Belgrade, Podgorica, Ulcinj, Zrenjanin, Kraljevo, Inđija, Bujanovac
and many others.
October 2011: NDC Serbia received official support for Fridtjof
Nansen – The Man Who Was Building Peace Arts Competition from
the Serbian Minister of Education and Science and Montenegrin
Deputy Minister of Education and Sports.

150 GODINA OD ROĐENJA FRIDTJOFA NANSENA
U organizaciji Ambasade Kraljevine Norveške u
Beogradu i Nansen dijalog centra Srbija 19.
septembra 2011. godine održana je proslava
povodom obeležavanja 150 godina od rođenja
Fridtjofa Nansena u Rezidenciji ambasadora
Kraljevine Norveške.
U okviru programa obeležen je Nansenov
humanitarni rad uz podsećanje na njegovu filozofiju
koja je integralni deo pristupa Nansen dijalog mreže
u procesima dijaloga i izgradnje mira na Zapadnom
Balkanu.
Fridtjof Nansen uložio je velike napore u rad sa izbeglicama, tako je
posebna tema u okviru programa bila sadašnja problematika
izbeglica i interno raseljenih lica u Srbiji, državi koje je primila najveći
broj izbeglica nakon raspada SFRJ.
Program je počeo obraćanjem Njegove ekselencije gospodina Nils
Ragnar Kamsvåg-a, nakon čega je usledilo izlaganje gospođice
Jelene Marić, savetnice za medije u Komesarijatu za izbeglice
Republike Srbije.
Inge Eidsvåg, profesor na Nansen Akademiji u Lilehameru, održao
je predavanje o životu Fridtjofa Nansena u okviru koga je posebnu
pažnju posvetio Nansenovom humanitarnom radu i vrednostima
koje je društvo nasledilo od njega. „Moja namera je da ovim
predavanjem ogovorim na dva pitanja: šta je Fridtjof Nansensen
značio za Norvešku i svet u vremenu kada je živeo - i šta je njegova
zaostavština danas, 150 godina od njegovog rođenja“, počeo je
profesor Eidsvåg.
U novembru 1922. godine, Fridjtof Nansen dobio je Nobelovu
nagradu za mir zbog zasluga za repatrijaciju ratnih zarobljenika i rad
sa izbeglicama iz Rusije. Prvi pravni dokument za međunarodnu
zaštitu izbeglica bio je upravo „Nansen pasoš“. U ovom kontekstu,
gospođa Jun Shirato, šef odeljenja za pravnu zaštitu predstavništva
UNHCR-a za Srbiju govorila je o trenutnoj situaciji izbeglica u Srbiji.
Na kraju programa, profesor Steinar Bryn, viši savetnik Nansen
centra za mir i dijalog (Lilehamer) predstavio je pristup i rezultate
Nansen dijalog mreže, koju čine Nansen dijalog centri - lokalne
organizacije koje više od deset godina rade na programima mirnog
rešavanja sukoba i podrške multietničkom dijalogu na Zapadnom
Balkanu.
LIKOVNI KONKURS FRIDTJOF NANSEN – ČOVEK KOJI
JE GRADIO MIR
Nansen dijalog centar Srbija, kao deo Nansen dijalog
mreže i Globalnog partnerstva za prevenciju
oružanih sukoba (GPPAC), uputio je poziv školama,
nastavnicima i učenicima da učestvuju na likovnom
konkursu „Fridtjof Nansen – čovek koji je gradio
mir“, koji je otvoren povodom obeležavanja 150
godina od rođenja norveškog nobelovca, istraživača
i humaniste Fridtjofa Nansena. Konkurs je otvoren
od 21.9-31.10.2011. godine. Dvanaest odabranih radova učenika iz celog regiona predstavljaće ilustracije dvanaest meseci
mirovnog kalendara za 2012. godinu. Pobednici će biti potpisani na kalendaru, a biće im uručene diplome i simbolične
nagrade. Konkurs su podržali Ministarstvo prosvete i nauke Republike Srbije, Ministarstvo prosvjete i sporta Crne Gore,
Ambasada Kraljevine Norveške u Beogradu i Globalno partnerstvo za prevenciju oružanih sukoba (GPPAC).

NANSEN YEAR IN SERBIA
150th ANNIVERSARY OF FRIDTJOF NANSEN'S BIRTH
On September 19 2011, the Royal Norwegian
Embassy in Belgrade and Nansen Dialogue Centre
Serbia organised at the Residence of H.E. the
Norwegian Ambassador a celebration to mark the
150th anniversary of Fridtjof Nansen's birth.
Arts Competition:
FRIDTJOF NANSEN – The Man Who Was Building Peace
Nansen Dialogue Centre Serbia, as part of the Nansen Dialogue Network
and Global Partnership for the Prevention of Armed Conflicts (GPPAC)
invited schools, teachers, pupils and students to take part in an arts
competition titled “Fridtjof Nansen – The Man Who Was Building Peace”
which was launched on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the birth
of the Norwegian Nobel Peace Prize winner, explorer and humanitarian
Fridtjof Nansen. The competition will be open from 21 September until 31
October 2011.
The topic of the competition: "Fridtjof Nansen – The Man Who Was
Building Peace".
Twelve selected artworks by students/pupils from the whole region will
illustrate the 2012 twelve-month peace calendar. The calendar will feature
the signatures of the winners, who will also be awarded certificates and
symbolic prizes.
The competition has been supported by the Ministry of Education and
Science of the Republic of Serbia, Ministry of Education and Sports of
Montenegro, Royal Norwegian Embassy in Belgrade and the Global
Partnership for the Prevention of Armed Conflicts (GPPAC).

Within the programme, Nansen's humanitarian
work was given a special tribute along with a
reminder about his philosophy which makes the
integral part of the Nansen Dialogue Network's
approach in dialogue and peace building processes
in the Western Balkans. Fridtjof Nansen invested
tremendous efforts in his work with refugees,
hence a special theme in the programme was
dedicated to the present issues of refugees and
internally displaced persons in Serbia, the country
which received the largest number of refugees
after the breakup of SFRY.
The programme started with the opening address
by His Excellency Mr. Nils Ragnar Kamsvåg,
followed by a speech by Miss Jelena Marić, PR
Adviser at the Commissariat for Refugees of the
Republic of Serbia.
Inge Eidsvåg, professor at the Nansen Academy in
Lillehammer gave a lecture on the life of Fridtjof
Nansen, primarily focusing on Nansen's
humanitarian work and the values which society
had inherited from Nansen. "My purpose for this
lecture is to answer two questions: What did
Fridtjof Nansen mean to Norway and the world
when he lived – and what is his legacy today, 150
years after his birth?", professor Eidsvåg started
his lecture.
In November 1922 Fridtjof Nansen was awarded
the Nobel Peace Prize for his work on the
repatriation of war prisoners and his work with
Russian refugees. The first legal document for the
protection of refugees was the "Nansen passport".
In this context, Ms. Jun Shirato, Senior Protection
Officer at UNHCR in Serbia spoke about the
present situation of refugees in Serbia.
At the end of the programme, professor Steinar
Bryn, Senior Adviser at the Nansen Centre for
Peace and Dialogue in Lillehammer gave a
presentation of the approach and the results of the
NDN which consists of Nansen Dialogue Centres local organisations which have been working for
more than ten years on the programmes of
peaceful conflict resolution and supporting
multiethnic dialogue in the Western Balkans.

Добитник на годинашната Max van der Stoel награда е Нансен Дијалог Центар Скопје
(НДЦ Скопје). Наградата ќе биде доделена на НДЦ Скопје од страна на
Организацијата за безбедност и соработка во Европа – ОБСЕ, на церемонијата што ќе
се одржи на 24 октомври, 2011 година во Хаг, Холандија.
Во официјалното соопштение за доделувањето на оваа престижна награда на НДЦ
Скопје, се истакнува следново:
“Меѓународното жири за наградата Max van der Stoel, донесе одлука да му ја
додели својата награда за 2011 година на Нансен Дијалог Центар Скопје (НДЦ
Скопје), заради неговата исклучителна работа во промовирањето на
интегрираното образование и подобрувањето на соработката помеѓу различни
етнички заедници. НДЦ Скопје, кој е формиран во 2000 година, е дел од Нансен
Дијалог мрежата, која поддржува меѓукултурен и меѓуетнички дијалог, со цел да
се спречат конфликти, да се негува помирувањето и градењето на мирот.
Особено, што се нафати на предизвикувачката работа да ги зближи учениците,
родителите и наставниците во област која беше погодена од конфликтот во
2001 година која се карактеризира со голема етничка поделба.”
“Со своите постојани залагања и иновативни проекти, НДЦ Скопје и понатаму ја
докажува позитивната улога која образованието може да ја одигра во
смирувањето на меѓуетничките тензии и интегрирањето во општеството.
Неговите интегрирани двојазични училишта претставуваат модели за
промовирање на почит кон различноста, двојазичноста и хармоничните односи
помеѓу наставниците, учениците и нивните родители од различно етничко
потекло.”
Интеграција преку образование: Нансен Дијалог Центар Скопје
НДЦ Скопје е локална невладина и непрофитна организација, формирана во 2000
година. Дел е од Нансен Дијалог мрежата (НДН), меѓународна НВО, со посебен фокус
на Балканот .
Визијата на НДЦ Скопје е демократско општество, во кое дијалогот е секојдневна
алатка за разрешување на проблемите помеѓу поединци, групи или заедници;
општество, во кое мирот, мултиетничката кохезија, интеграцијата, еднаквоста и
толеранцијата се главните вредности.
Уште од потпишувањето на Охридскиот Рамковен мировен договор во 2001 година,
НДЦ Скопје се фокусира на зајакнување на мирот преку дијалог, помирување и
интеграција, пред да ги прошири своите активности и во интегрирано образование.
Во 2005 година, НДЦ Скопје ја започна Програмата “Дијалог и помирување” во
општина Јегуновце. Ова доведе до отворање на првото Интегрирано двојазично
основно училиште во таа општина, во 2008 година.
Оттогаш па наваму, неговиот интегриран образовен модел (наречен “Нансен
модел”) беше проширен на основни и средни училишта и во други општини низ
целата држава. Тоа е модел, кој НДН го промовира и поддржува и на меѓународен
план.
За наградата Max van der Stoel
Наградата се доделува секои две години на личност, група или институција за
исклучителни и извонредни постигнувања во подобрувањето на положбата на
националните малцинства, во државите во кои ОБСЕ е присутен. Наградата беше
востановена во 2001 година, во чест на покојниот Max van der Stoel, холандски
државник и поранешен Министер за надворешни работи. Во текот на неговата
истакната кариера, Max van der Stoel се грижеше за заштитата на човековите права,
вклучувајќи ги и правата на малцинствата. Тој беше назначен за прв Висок Комесар
за национални малцинства (HCNM) при ОБСЕ во 1993 година и на оваа позиција
остана се’ до 2001 година, период во кој направи непроценлив придонес за
спречувањето или разрешувањето на меѓуетничките тензии во областите во кои
ОБСЕ е присутен.

Fituesi i çmimit të sivjetëm Maks van der Shtul është Qendra për
Dialog Nansen Shkup (QDN Shkup).Çmimi do ti dorëzohet QDN
Shkup nga ana e Organizatës për Sigurim dhe Bashkëpunim në
Europë(OSBE) në një ceremoni e cila do të mbahet më 24 Tetor
2011 në Hag, Holandë.
Justifikimi zyrtar për ndarjen e këtij çmimi QDN-së Shkup është si
vijon:
“Juria ndërkombëtare e Maks van der Shtul çmimit vendosi që të
ndan çmimin për vitin 2011 Qendrës për Dialog Nansen Shkup (QDN
Shkup) për punën e jashtëzakonshme në promovimin e arsimimit të
integruar dhe përmirsimin e bashkëpunimit mes bashkësive të
ndryshme etnike. QDN Shkup, e themeluar në vitin 2000, është
pjesë e Rrjetit për Dialog Nansen, i cili përkrah dialogun ndëretnik
dhe ndërkulturor me qëllim të prevenimit të konflikteve , përkrahjes
së pajtimit dhe krijimit të paqes. Në veçanti, ka mar përsipër
detyrën sfiduese për të bashkuar nxënësit, prindërit dhe arsimtarët
në një rajon të përfshirë nga konflikti i vitit 2001 i karakterizuar me
ndarje të mëdha ndëretnike.
“Me anë të projekteve inovative dhe përpjekjeve të vazhdueshme,
QDN Shkup ka ofruar prova të mëtutjeshme të rolit pozitiv të

Integrimi përmes arsimimit: Qendra për Dialog Nansen Shkup
QDN Shkup është organizatë jo-qeveritare dhe jo-profitabile e
themeluar në vitin 2000. Është pjesë e Rrjetit për Dialog Nansen
(RDN), organizatë ndërkombëtare me një fokus të veçantë ndaj
Ballkanit.
Vizioni i QDN Shkup është krijimi i një shoqërie demokratike ku
dialogu është mjeti i përditshëm për zgjedhjen e problemeve
mes individëve, grupeve apo bashkësive, një shoqëri ku paqja,
kohezioni multietnik, integrimi, barazia dhe toleranca janë vlerat
më të rëndësishme.
Pas nënshkrimit të marrëveshjes Kornizë të Ohrit në vitin 2001,
QDN Shkup u fokusua në rikthimin e paqes përmes dialogut,
pajtimit dhe integrimit, para se të zgjërohet me aktivitetet e
sferës së arsimimit të integruar.
Në vitin 2005, QDN Shkup inicoi programin për “Dialog dhe
pajtim” në komunën e Jegunovcit. Kjo shpiu deri në hapjen e
shkollës së pare të integruar dygjuhësore në këtë komunë në
vitin 2008.
Që atëherë, modeli për arsimim të integruar (i ashtuquajturi
Nansen Model) u zgjërua në komuna tjera të vendit,
përkatësisht në shkolla të mesme dhe fillore. Ky modeal poashtu
promovohet dhe përkrahet nga RDN në nivel ndërkomëtar.
Rreth çmimit Mkas van der Shtul
Çmimi ndahet çdo dy vite nga ana e Organizatës për Sigurim dhe
Bashkëpunim në Europë(OSBE) një personi, grupu aço
institucioni çër arritje të larta në përmirsimin e pozitës së
pakicave kombëtare brenda shteteve të cilat participojnë në
OSBE.
Çmimi u themelua në vitin 2001 duke nderuar të ndjerin Maks
van der Shtul, një shtetar Holandez dhe ish Ministër i punëve të
jashtme. Gjatë karrierës së tij të dalluar, Maks van der Shtul
ishte i brengosur për mbrojtjen e të drejtave njerëzore , duke
inkuadruar të drejtat e pakicave. Ai ishte i caktuar si Komesari i
parë i lartë i OSBE-së për Pakica Kombëtare (KLPK) në vitin 1993
deri në vitin 2001, një periudhë ku bëri një kontribut të
jashtëzakonshëm në prevenimin apo zgjedhjen e tensioneve
ndëretnike në vendet ku është prezente OSBE-ja.
Nansen Dialogue Centre Skopje wins the 2011 Max van der Stoel Award
The Winner of this year's Max van der Stoel Award is the Nansen Dialogue Centre Skopje (NDC
Skopje). The Award will be presented to NDC Skopje by the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) at a ceremony to be held on 24 October 2011 in The Hague,
Netherlands.
The official justification for bestowing this prestigious Award to NDC Skopje states the
following:
"The International Jury of the Max van der Stoel Award has decided to give its 2011 Award to
the Nansen Dialogue Centre Skopje (NDC Skopje) for its outstanding work to promote
integrated education and improve co-operation between different ethnic communities. NDC
Skopje, established in 2000, is part of the Nansen Dialogue Network, which supports
intercultural and interethnic dialogue with the aim of preventing conflict, fostering
reconciliation and building peace. In particular, it has taken up the challenging task of bringing
together students, parents and teachers in an area that has been affected by the 2001 conflict
and is characterized by great ethnic divisions.”
"Through its relentless efforts and innovative projects, NDC Skopje has provided further
evidence of the positive role that education can play in defusing interethnic tensions and
integrating society. Its integrated bilingual schools are models for promoting respect for
diversity, bilingualism and harmonious relations between teachers, pupils and their parents
from different ethnic backgrounds.”
Integration through education:
the Nansen Dialogue Centre Skopje
In 2005, NDC Skopje initiated a programme on "Dialogue and reconciliation" in Jegunovce
Municipality. This led to opening of the first Integrated Bilingual Primary School in that
municipality in 2008.
NDC Skopje was established in 2000 and it is part of the Nansen
Dialogue Network (NDN), an international network with a
special focus on the Balkans.
Since then, its integrated education model (the so-called "Nansen Model") has been extended
to primary and secondary schools in other municipalities across the country. It is also the
model that NDN promotes and supports internationally.
NDC Skopje's vision is of a democratic society in which dialogue
is the everyday tool for problem resolution between individuals,
groups or communities; a society in which peace, multiethnic
cohesion, integration, equality and tolerance are the main
values.
On the Max van der Stoel Award
Since the signing of the Ohrid Framework Peace Agreement in
2001, NDC Skopje has focused on strengthening peace through
dialogue, reconciliation and integration, before widening its
activities to include a focus on integrated education.
The Award was established in 2001 honouring the late Max van der Stoel, a Dutch statesman
and former Minister of Foreign Affairs. Throughout his distinguished career, Max van der
Stoel was concerned with the protection of human rights, including minority rights. He was
appointed as the first OSCE High Commissioner on National Minorities (HCNM) in 1993 and
served until 2001, a period during which he made an invaluable contribution to preventing or
resolving interethnic tensions throughout the OSCE area.
The Award is presented every two years by the Organization for Security and Co-operation in
Europe (OSCE) to a person, group or institution for extraordinary and outstanding
achievements in improving the position of national minorities in the OSCE participating States.

MEĐUNARODNI DAN MIRA NA ZAPADNOM BALKANU
Mreža škola, mirovnih edukatora i aktivista, učesnika projekta „Obrazovne institucije implementiraju obrazovanje za mir“, koji
implemtiraju Nansen dijalog centri i GPPAC na Zapadnom Balkanu na ovaj dan uputili su poruke mira svojim školskim kolegama i
sugrađanima. Akcija se istovremeno odvijala u mnogim gradovima u regionu kao što su: Sombor, Nikšić, Beograd, Podgorica,
Ulcinj, Zrenjanin, Kraljevo, Inđija, Bujanovac i mnogi drugi.
BEOGRAD
U Osnovnoj školi "Mika Antić" učenici četvrtog razreda realizovali
su radionicu "Nek svud mir sja" uz pomoć psihološkinje i učiteljice.
Grupa učenika od petog do osmog razreda povodom
Međunarodnog dana mira imala je čas književnosti na temu
"Motiv mira u književnosti". Grupa učenika osmog razreda
učestvovala je u radionici na temu "Mir oko nas i u nama". Učenici
sedmog razreda oslikavali su torbe i papirne majice.
Grupa učenika intervjuisala je građane u okolini škole na temu
Međunarodnog dana mira i od prikupljenih odgovora napravili su
zidne novine. Mlađi razredi su crtali i slikali na temu mira, pravili
golubove, pisali poruke i ukrašavali prostor škole.

Medijatorski klub OŠ „Milija Nikčević“ organizovao je
povodom obilježavanja Međunarodnog dana mira – 21.
septembra aktivnosti u školi i u lokalnoj zajednici.
Planirani događaj podrazumijevao je prikupljanje poruka i
pjesmica mira, kao i crteža o miru, koje su učenici svih
razreda pripremali u toku septembra. U školskom holu se
21. septembra održala izložba crteža, a objavljene su
poruke mira na više jezika. U okviru drugog dijela
promocije Međunarodnog dana mira učenici su izašli u
lokalnu zajednicu i razmijenili poruke mira sa učenicima
drugih škola i građanima Nikšića.
NIKŠIĆ
Prošle školske godine se u OŠ „Milija Nikčević“ iz Nikšića
sprovodio projekat „Za dobro svih generacija – živjela medijacija“,
koji je na Akademiji za centralno-evropske škole osvojio priznanje
za posebna postignuća u oblasti rješavanja konflikata, sa
napomenom da je projekat realan, ostvarljiv i održiv. U okviru
projekta 25 učenika i učenica prošlo je obuku za vršnjačke
medijatore. Praksu promovisanja kulture dijaloga, tolerancije i
nenasilnog rješavanja sukoba, učenici nastavljaju i ove školske
godine.

Vršnjački medijatori razgovarali su sa prolaznicima,
upoznali ih sa ciljem događaja i pozvali ih da ostave poruke
ili crteže mira na štandovima sa hamer papirima. Jedan dio
vršnjačkih medijatora prolaznicima je dijelio poruke mira
koje su osmislili učenici OŠ „Milija Nikčević“ i pozivao ih da
posjete jedan od dva štanda.
Lokalna televizija TV Nikšić emitovala je prilog o događaju,
a dnevne novine Vijesti su objavile članak. Atmosfera je
bila sjajna.

THE INTERNATIONAL DAY OF PEACE IN THE WESTERN BALKANS
Nansen Dialogue Centres and the Global Partnership for the Prevention of Armed Conflicts (GPPAC) celebrated 21 September,
the International Day of Peace, on which occasion GPPAC members in the Western Balkans organised a number of activities. A
network of schools, peace educators and activists, the participants of GPPAC's Educational Institutions Implement Peace
Education project, shared peace messages with their colleagues and fellow-citizens. Activities took place simultaneously in
many cities in the region, such as: Sombor, Nikšić, Belgrade, Podgorica, Ulcinj, Zrenjanin, Kraljevo, Inđija, Bujanovac and many
others.
BELGRADE
Fourth grade pupils of Mika Antić Primary School, supported by a
psychologist and a teacher, organised a workshop "Let the Peace Shine
Everywhere". A group of pupils from the fifth to the eighth grade had a
lecture on "A Motif of Peace in Literature" during their literature class.
Another group of eighth grade pupils participated in the workshop
"The Peace In and Around Us". The pupils of the seventh grade painted
bags and paper T-shirts.
A group of pupils interviewed citizens who live near the school about
the International Day of Peace theme and made wall newspapers on
which the citizens' answers were posted on the wall newspapers.
Younger pupils made drawings and paintings on the theme of Peace
and also made paper pigeons, wrote messages and decorated the
school premises.

NIKŠIĆ
In 2010, "Milija Nikčević" Primary School
implemented a project "For the Welfare of All
Generations- Long Live Mediation" which received an
Award for Outstanding Achievements in Conflict
Resolution by the Academy for Central European
Schools with the remark that the project was realistic,
feasible and sustainable.
As a part of this project, 25 pupils were trained in
peer mediation. The pupils have continued with a
good practice of promoting culture of dialogue,
tolerance and non-violent conflict resolution in 2011.
The school's Mediators' Club organised activities in
the school and in the local community to mark the
International Day of Peace. The activities included
collecting peace messages and poems about peace
and collecting peace drawings that the pupils were
drawing during September.
On 21 September, the exhibition of drawings was
organised in the school lobby and peace messages in
several languages were distributed. During the second
part of the International Day of Peace promotion, the
pupils went out on the streets and exhanged peace
messages with the pupils of other schools and with
the citizens of Nikšić.
Peer mediators talked to the citizens, introduced them to the aim of
the campaign and invited them to leave messages or drawings of
peace on the papers placed on the public displays.
One group of peer mediators distributed the peace messages that
were created by the pupils of "Milija Nikčević" Primary School and
invited the citizens to visit one of the two public displays.
The local TV station "TV Nikšić" broadcast the report about the
campaign and The Vijesti daily newspapers published an article about
it. The atmosphere was great.

VOJVODINA
Mreža NVO i srednjih škola u 9 gradova AP Vojvodine
(Subotica, Sombor, Zrenjanin, Vrbas, Bečej, Novi
Bečej, Bačka Palanka, Inđija i Ruma) koji realizuju
projekat interkulturalnog obrazovanja pod nazivom
„Multiplikacija – Živeti tolerantno“ uključile su se u
mrežu organizacija i institucija koje su na različite
načine poslale poruke mira na ovaj dan:
Istovremeno mladi su šetali kroz gradove bivše Jugoslavije: Vukovar,
Tuzlu, Gornji Vakuf - Uskoplje, Srebrenicu i Sombor i pevali pesmu
„Samo da rata ne bude“, a sve radi promovisanja mira, tolerancije i
prekogranične saradnje.
Sombor:
U Ekonomskoj školi i Gimnaziji postavljene su zidne
novine i foto pano sa kampa mira pod nazivom
„Odmak od rata u Neumu“.
U subotu 10. septembra 2011. godine, učesnici
projekta „Odmor od rata – izgradnja mira“ sproveli
su veliku regionalnu akciju pod nazivom „Šetnja za
mir“.
Inđija:
NVO „Prijatelji dece Inđije“ i učenici srednjih škola u ovom gradu
oblepili su grad sa listićima sa kojih su građani mogli da otcepe poruke
mira. Iste poruke, ali na malo većem formatu ubacili su u poštanske
sandučiće u glavnoj ulici. Akcija je sprovedena sa porukom "MIR U
DUŠI, MIR U SVETU".
Zrenjanin:
Međunarodni dan mira obeležen je izložbom u holu škole –
Zrenjaninska gimnazija. Predstavljeni su dosadašnji dobitnici Nobelove
nagrade za mir, puštala se prigodna muzika preko školskog razglasa,
organizovano je deljenje PEACE znaka.
U Gimnaziji „2. oktobar“ u Bačkoj Palanci, Srednjoj školi u Novom
Bečeju i ostalim gradovima su poslate poruke mira preko panoa, u
formi zidnih novina.

Povodom Međunarodnog dana mira - 21. septembra, projekat "Obrazovne institucije implementiraju obrazovanje za mir"
uvršten je u Godišnji plan rada škole i plan PRNŠ, koji će biti realizovan u toku ove školske godine. Jedan čas u svim odjeljenjima
škole posvećen je obilježavanju Međunarodnog dana mira, a održana je i izložba likovnih radova na temu "Mir nas spaja", kojoj
su posvećeni i panoi i zidne novine. Učenici od prvog do petog razreda u okviru „Škole u prirodi“ na primorju prigodnim su
aktivnostima posvetili pažnju temi „Mir nas spaja“.

Wall newspapers and photo bulletin boards from peace camp
"A Distance from the War in Neum" were posted in the School
of Economics and the Grammar School. On Saturday, 10
September 2011, the participants of the project "Resting from
the War – Peacebuilding" organised a big regional campaign
named "A Walk for Peace". The young were walking
simultenously in Vukovar, Tuzla, Gornji Vakuf - Uskoplje,
Srebrenica and Sombor, the cities of former Yugoslavia, and
singing a song Samo da rata ne bude (Don't Let There Be
War). The aim of the activity was to promote peace, tolerance
and cross-border cooperation.
Inđija:
NGO "Prijatelji dece Inđije" and secondary school students
posted post-it papers with peace messages around the city
intended for the citizens. They put the same messages in the
mail boxes in the main street. The slogan of the campaign was
"Peace in the Soul, Peace in the World".
A network of NGOs and secondary schools in 9 cities in the
Autonomous Province of Vojvodina (Subotica, Sombor,
Zrenjanin, Vrbas, Bečej, Novi Bečej, Bačka Palanka, Inđija i
Ruma) which have been implementing the intercultural
educational project "Multiplication-Live in Tolerance" joined
the network of organisations and insitutions which in different
ways sent peace messages on the International Day of Peace.
Zrenjanin:
The International Day of Peace was marked by organising an
exhibition in the lobby of the Zrenjanin Grammar School. The
exhibition presented winners of the Nobel Peace Prize, music
was played from the school public address system and PEACE
badges were distributed.
Peace messages were distributed via wall newspaper at "2.
Oktobar" Grammar School in Bačka Palanka and Secondary
School in Novi Bečej and in other towns as well.

On the occasion of 21 September - the International Day of Peace, the "Educational Institutions Implement Peace Education"
project was integrated in the Annual School Plan and teachers' professional development plan that is going to be implemented
in the course of this school year. All the classes of the school had a lecture dedicated to the International Peace Day, while an
arts exhibition titled "Peace Connects Us" was organised by using bulletin boards and wall newspapers. Pupils from the first to
the fifth grade of the "School in Nature" on the coast paid special attention to the topic "Peace Connects Us" through various
activities.

NIŠ
Učenici, nastavnici, roditelji i saradnici Osnovne škole
„Učitelj Tasa“ u Nišu obeležili su Međundarodni dan
mira ispisivanjem poruka mira. Prisutni su imali prilike
da se više informišu kod učenika o Međunarodnom
danu mira i ostave poruku na knauf pločama o tome
šta za njih znači mir. Ploče sa porukama, poput ovih da
je „Mir kada neko brine o vama“, ili da je“ Mir kada se
deca ne svađaju i kad nema rata“ okačene su na
brojnim lokacijama u školi.
Organizovani su i kratki motivacioni govori za
najmlađe kroz priču o Međunarodnom danu mira i
vrednostima mirovnog pokreta, kao i važnosti mira u
svetu, ali i u lokalnoj zajednici.
Prema izjavi učiteljice Milene Mladenović koju su
prenele Narodne novine, ovom akcijom na
Međunarodni dan mira OŠ „Učitelj Tasa“ započinje
implementaciju projekta obrazovanja za mir u
obrazovnim planovima i programima.
Reportaže o akciji objavljene su u nacionalnim i
lokalnim medijima.

Na Međunarodni dan mira predstavnici Školskog odeljenja Opštine
Lillehammer održali su seminare za nastavnike četiri škole u
Bujanovcu sa temom kreiranja plana socijalnih veština.
Projekat “Saradnja škola iz Lilehamera i Bujanovca” započeo je
2006.godine. Od tada je ostvarena uspešna saradnja između dve
osnovne škole iz Lilehamera i četiri škole iz Bujanovca u domenu
razmene iskustava nastavnika. Školska medijacija prihvaćena je kao
alternativno sredstvo rešavanja sukoba u školama u Bujanovcu i
uvrštena je u zvanične dokumente škole: Školski godišnji plan.
Međuetnička saradnja poboljšana je tokom realizacije obrazovnih
seminara i sastanaka koje je ogranizovao Nansen dijalog centar Srbija.
Aktivnosti u okviru Školskog projekta saradnje podstiču saradnju
nastavnika iz albanskih i srpskih škola vezano za implementaciju
Školske medijacije, ali takođe i u vezi predmeta koje predaju.
Nastavnici razmenjuju sadržaje nastavnih programa i međusobno se
konsultuju. Učenici iz obe etničke grupe imali su priliku da provedu
vreme zajedno i da shvate da imaju zajednička interesovanja.
Predstavnici lokalnih vlasti aktivno podržavaju projekat učešćem u
raznim manifestacijama, kao što su sportske aktivnosti, otvaranje
medijatorskog kluba i predstava koju je u Domu kulture zajednički pripremila multi-etnička grupa nastavnika i učenika.
Opštinsko veće Bujanovca takođe je odobrilo manja finansijska sredstva za rad medijatorskih klubova u četiri škole. Ovo
predstavlja značajno priznanje projektu, priznanje radu nastavnika i učenika i vremenu koje su investirali u procesu uvođenja
medijacije i prihvatanja medijacije kao dobrog sredstva za razumevanje i rešavanje sukoba u školama.
Ministarstvo prosvete i nauke Republike Srbije podržava ovaj projekat koji je u skladu sa novim Zakonom o osnovama sistema
obrazovanja i vaspitanja i jednim od osnovnih ciljeva – smanjenjem nasilja u školama. Koordinator projekta redovno obaveštava
predstavnike Ministarstva o razvoju projekta.
Seoske škole iz Levosoja i Velikog Trnovca aktivno učestvuju u projektu koji se realizuje u 2011.godini. Nastavnici-medijatori iz
osnovnih škola u Bujanovcu realizuju aktivnosti u svojim školama, ali takođe pružaju podršku i kolegama iz seoskih škola.

Pupils, teachers, parents and associates of “Učitelj
Tasa” Primary School in Niš celebrated the
International Day of Peace by writing messages of
peace. Participants in the celebration could get
more information about the International Peace
Day from the pupils of the school and they could
post their messages on what peace means to them
on the bulletin boards. The boards with messages
such as these "Peace is when someone cares about
you" or "Peace is when children don't fight and
when there's no war" were posted on many
different locations around the school.
Short motivational speeches were also organised
for the youngest pupils by telling a story about the
International Day of Peace, the importance of
peace in the world and in the local community.
Teacher Ms. Milena Mladenović gave a statement for a local
newspaper Narodne novine explaining that by organising the
International Peace Day activities, Učitelj Tasa Primary School had
started the implementation of the Educational Institutions Implement
Peace Education project as a part of their educational plans and
programmes.
Articles about the school activities were published in both national and
local media.

BUJANOVAC
On the International Day of Peace representatives
of the School Department of Lillehammer
Municipality in Norway held seminars on creating
plans for social skills for the teachers of four
schools in Bujanovac.
School Cooperation Project between schools from
Lillehammer and Bujanovac was initiated in 2006.
Due to the active involvement of representatives of the School Department of Lillehammer municipality, cooperation
between two primary schools from Lillehammer and four schools from Bujanovac has been successful in terms of
professional exchange between the teachers. In Bujanovac schools, School Mediation was accepted as an alternative tool for
conflict resolution and was recognized in the schools’ official documents: School Annual plans. Inter-ethnic relationships have
been improved during the educational seminars and meetings organised by Nansen Dialogue Centre Serbia.
Activities within School Cooperation Project fostered cooperation of teachers from Albanian and Serbian schools in relation
to the School Mediation, but also in connection to the subjects they teach. They exchange subject programmes and consult
with each other. Pupils from two ethnic groups got the chance to spend time together and realised that they share same
interests.
The local authorities’ representatives actively support the project by participating in the events, such as sports activities,
opening of mediators’ club and the performance at the Cultural House prepared by the multi-ethnic group of teachers and
pupils. Also, the small financial support was approved by the Municipal Council of Bujanovac municipality for mediators’ clubs
in 4 schools. It is significant recognition of the project, appreciation of the teachers’ and pupils’ work invested in the process
of mediation and acceptance of mediation as a good tool for understanding and resolving conflicts in schools.
The Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Serbia supports the project as it is in line with the new Law on
Education and with one of the main goals – reduction of violence in schools. The coordinator of the project regularly updates
the Ministry's representatives on the developments within the project.
Village schools from Levosoje and Veliki Trnovac actively participate in the project in 2011. Teachers-mediators from primary
schools from Bujanovac run activities in their own schools and as well provide support to the colleagues working in the village
schools.

Učenički parlament Poljoprivredno-hemijske škole 21.
septembra 2011. godine obeležio je Međunarodni dan mira.
Tim povodom za sve učeničke parlamente srednjih škola
organizovan je program u Narodnoj biblioteci ,,Stefan
Prvovenčani“ u Kraljevu.
U okviru programa prikazan je dokumentarni film „Mir
jednog dana“ (Peace One Day), koji govori o načinu i putu
uspostavljanja Dana mira kao međunarodnog praznika.
Nakon obraćanja pedagoga Aleksandre Jovankin i učenika
Poljoprivredno-hemijske škole, svi učesnici imali su priliku da
učestvuju u diskusiji i razmene ideje na koji način mogu da
doprinesu izgradnji mira. Učenici su predlagali kako da
preventivno deluju u svojim školama, kako da smanje nasilje i
konstruktivno rešavaju sukobe. Ovaj pristup prezentovanja
ideje mira dopao se učenicima, koji su predložili da se slična
projekcija organizuje u njihovim školama. Učenički
parlamenti predložili su akrivnosti poput tribina, radionica,
akcija u zajednici, obuka vršnjačkih medijatora, koje bi
doprinele ispunjenju zajedničkih ciljeva: nenasilnom
rešavanju sukoba i obrazovanju za mir.
Koncept obrazovanja za mir podrazumeva: prevenciju nasilja,
konstruktivno rešavanje sukoba, prevazilaženje predrasuda,
stereotipa, uvažavanje različitosti, medijaciju, posredovanje u
sukobima, multikluturalnost i sl. Aleksandra Jovankin, pedagog
kaže: ''Kada sa mladima razgovarate na temu univerzalnih ljudskih
vrednosti i onome što je važno za njih, retko kada spominju mir.
Objašnjenje leži u činjenici da mladi mir podrazumevaju kao nešto
što je već prisutno i što ih okružuje. Međutim, mir potrebno
graditi.''
Predstavnici učeničkih parlamenata predlagali su akcije koje sami,
volonterski mogu da sprovedu u svojim školama. Naravno,
realizacija sadržaja mirovnog obrazovanja i aktivnosti prevencije
nasilja u školama mogu se realizovati i kroz redovnu nastavu,
sekcije, sportska događanja, rad učeničkog parlamenta, radionice,
tribine, rad vršnjačkih medijatora i sl.

Međunarodni dan mira u školi ,,Maršal Tito" u Ulcinju
obilježen je na poseban način. Organizovana je dječja izložba
na temu ,,Mir u svijetu" i otvoren Medijatorski kutak. Na
otvaranju su bili prisutni Branka Kankaraš, samostalna
savjetnica u Ministarstvu prosvjete i sporta, predstavnici
roditelja, Opštine i MUP-a Ulcinj. Uvodni govor i pozdrav
održali su Branka Kankaraš, samostalna savjetnica
Ministarstva prosvjete i sporta, Martin Zadrima, direktor
škole i Vesna Popov, učiteljica. Učenici su izveli dvije tačke na
kojima je prezentovana medijacija. U pauzi je učenica Kristina
Mjekaj na violini odsvirala „Menuet“.

Students' Parliament of the School of Agriculture and
Chemistry celebrated the International Day of Peace on
21 September 2011. On that occassion, a programme was
organised for Students' Parliaments of all secondary
schools in Kraljevo at Stefan Prvovenčani National Library.
As a part of the programme, a documentary called Peace
One Day was screened. The documentary focuses on the
activities and the background history of establishing the
Day of Peace as an international celebration.
After the opening speeches by pedagogue Mrs.
Aleksandra Jovankin and the students of the School of
Agriculture and Chemistry, all the students had an
opportunity to discuss and exchange the ideas on how
they could contribute to peacebuilding. The students
proposed the ways of preventing conflicts in their schools
and how to resolve conflicts constructively. This approach
of presenting the ideas of peace was appreciated by the
students and they proposed similar film screenings in
their schools. Students' Parliaments proposed various
activities, such as public forums, workhops, activities in
the community and peer mediators' trainings, all of which
would contribute to achieving the same goals: non-violent
conflict resolution and education for peace.
The concept of Education for Peace covers the following: conflict
prevention, constructive conflict resolution, overcoming of prejudices
and sterotypes, mediation in conflicts, multiculturalism and similar
topics.
Mrs. Aleksandra Jovankin stated on this ocassion : "When you talk to
young people about universal human values and what they consider
important, peace is rarely mentioned.
This can be explained by the fact that they take peace for granted: it is
present and it surrounds them. Nevertheless, peace needs to be built."
Representatives of Students' Parliaments proposed the activities that
they could organise in their schools on a voluntary basis. In a similar
way, Peace Education contents and activities related to conflict
prevention in schools can be implemented through regular school
activities, sections, sports events, the work of Students' Parliaments,
workshops, public forums and peer mediators' work and the similar.

The International Day of Peace was celebrated in a special way at
"Maršal Tito" Primary School in Ulcinj. A children's exhibition
titled "Peace in the World" was organised and a Mediator's Corner
was opened. Mrs. Branka Kankaraš, an independent counsellor at the
Ministry of Education and Sports, parents, municipality and police
department representatives attended the opening ceremony. The
opening speeches were given by Mrs. Kankaraš, the counsellor, Mr.
Martin Zadrima, the school principal and Mrs. Vesna Popov, the
teacher. The pupils had two performances during which mediation
was presented. During the break, pupil Kristina Mjekaj played "The
Menuet" on the violine.

sukoba (GPPAC), poziva škole, nastavnike i učenike da učestvuju na likovnom konkursu „Fridtjof Nansen –
čovek koji je gradio mir“, koji otvaramo povodom obeležavanja 150 godina od rođenja norveškog nobelovca,
istraživača i humaniste Fridtjofa Nansena. Konkurs je otvoren od 21.9-31.10.2011. godine.
Nansen Dialogue Centre Serbia, as part of the Nansen Dialogue Network and Global Partnership for the
Prevention of Armed Conflicts (GPPAC) is inviting schools, teachers, pupils and students to take part in an arts
competition titled Fridtjof Nansen – The Man Who Was Building Peace which is being launched on the
occasion of the 150th anniversary of the birth of the Norwegian Nobel Peace Prize winner, explorer and
humanitarian Fridtjof Nansen. The competition will be open from 21 September until 31 October 2011.
Pozivamo sve zainteresovane učenike osnovnih i srednjih škola sa prostora Zapadnog Balkana (Srbija, Crna
Gora, Hrvatska, Makedonija i Bosna i Hercegovina) da pošalju svoje likovne radove na temu: „Fridtjof Nansen
– čovek koji je gradio mir“, tehnikom po sopstvenom izboru.
We are inviting all interested participants from primary and secondary schools in the Western Balkan region
(Serbia, Montenegro, Croatia, Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina) to send in their artworks on the topic
"Fridtjof Nansen – The Man Who Was Building Peace", using technique of their own choice.

Dvanaest odabranih radova učenika iz celog regiona predstavljaće ilustracije dvanaest meseci mirovnog
kalendara za 2012. godinu. Pobednici će biti potpisani na kalendaru, a biće im uručene diplome i simbolične
nagrade.
Twelve selected artworks by students/pupils from the whole region will illustrate the 2012 twelve-month
peace calendar. The calendar will feature the signatures of the winners, who will also be awarded certificates
and symbolic prizes.
Ciljevi konkursa:
- Upoznavanje učenika sa filozofijom, životom i radom Fridtjofa Nansena;
- Promocija mirovnih i humanističkih vrednosti po kojima je Fridtjof Nansen živeo i radio;
- Doprinos održivom miru i pomirenju u regionu Zapadnog Balkana.
Uputstva za učenike nastavnike:
- Na konkursu mogu da učestvuju svi učenici osnovnih i srednjih škola iz Srbije, Crne Gore, Hrvatske,
Makedonije i Bosne i Hercegovine;
- Format rada A4 – duža ivica je položena horizontalno, kraća ivica vertikalno, tehnika je slobodna. Radovi koji
ne odgovaraju propozicijama neće ući u izbor za nagrađene radove.;

- All students/pupils from primary and secondary schools in Serbia, Montenegro, Croatia, Macedonia, Bosnia
and Herzegovina are eligible;
- Artwork must be in A4 landscape format, in technique of participant's own choice (artworks not
conforming to these rules will not be eligible to enter the selection process);
- Competition participants can post their artworks to Nansen Dialogue Centre Serbia, Milentija Popovića
12/3, 11070 Novi Beograd, Serbia or e-mail the scans of their works at [email protected] at the
minimum resolution of 300dpi;
- The artwork must be accompanied by a filled-out letter of consent including personal information
(separate document);
- The competition is being launched on the occasion of celebrating 150th anniversary of Fridtjof Nansen's
birth, on 21 September – International Peace Day and will be open until 31 October 2011.
Selection process:
The selection will be made by a professional committee. The chairperson of the Selection Committee will be
an academic painter.
The competition has been supported by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Serbia,
Ministry of Education and Sports of Montenegro, Royal Norwegian Embassy in Belgrade and Global
Partnership for the Prevention of Armed Conflicts (GPPAC).
