Our LAdy Of LOurdes CATHOLIC CHuRCH - Knoxville
Our LAdy of Lourdes
CATHOLIC CHURCH
South Pittsburg, Tennessee
H
ere at Our Lady of Lourdes we have been blessed
with your financial support to not only maintain, but
continuously make improvements to our facilities to
better serve our Catholic family. The Home Campaign, now being
conducted throughout the Diocese of Knoxville, provides us with
a tremendous opportunity to continue investing in our Church
while also supporting important programs in our Diocese.
The major improvements identified by our Parish Council
include a timely – and needed – replacement of the roof on the
Church, the Parish House, the rectory and the garage next to the
Church. In addition, a replacement and upgrade of the heating
and air conditioning in our Church will be necessary in the notto-distant future. Finally, as funds become available, the Parish
Council is recommending a stand-alone building between the
Parish House and Church.
Without your support, these capital improvements will be
difficult, if not impossible, to achieve. The Home Campaign
represents an opportunity to address expensive maintenance
issues common to most homeowners, and to significantly
enhance the functionality of our Church.
More details about our projects
are listed on the back of this page.

Our Lady of Lourdes Home Campaign Projects
According to the “Fundraising Share Breakdown” on the front page, we will address our projects in the following manner:
•If we reach our Level 1 goal, we will replace our roofs, HVAC, and set aside $10,000 for our multipurpose space.
•If we reach our Level 2 goal, we will be able to set aside an additional $34,640 for our multipurpose space.
•If we reach our Pastor’s Goal, we will be able to set aside an additional $55,360 for our multipurpose space,
which will cost an estimated $100,000.
Replace Roof on Church, Parish House, and Rectory | $23,000
Replace and Upgrade HVAC in Church | $13,268
Multipurpose Space | $100,000
This will be a 25 x 25 foot stand-alone building between the Church and Parish House. It will be connected by
a hallway to the Church vestibule and contain a much needed private-soundproof confessional for parishioner
and priest, a handicapped accessible bathroom, a business office, and private office for the pastor. The current
business office located in the rear of the Parish House will become a designated storage area. A future option
would be to connect this new structure with the Parish House. The structural changes to the Church will be
limited to one side of the vestibule, thus preserving the historically unique design that has been cherished
by so many parishioners and visitors over the years – and hopefully, for years to come. Below is a diagram of
the facility.
