Very Important Pets News HEATHERS PETCARE Created by Heather Thomas ISSUE 3 Welcome to Heather's Petcare quarterly newsletter Hints and Tips: About Us A little bit about usHeather's Petcare was founded in 2007 by Heather Thomas. Heather's Petcare is run by Heather Thomas. Heather is dedicated when it comes to animals. Heather decided to start a Petcare service for those of you that do not like kennels and catteries and also for those of you that work full-time and still want your pets to get the best. Heather is animal care qualified and has many years experience with animals, she has worked at a boarding kennels, work experience in a wildlife rescue centre and at veterinary practices. Whilst Heather was training for the animal care she had to also complete animal care at Bristol Zoo. Heather has always had a love for animals, and she has a few pets herself from a great dane to chickens. Heather also helps out local rescues, from competitions to raise money for food, to fostering and travelling to collect dogs. Does your dog have an upset stomach? Answer: Give your dog a little live yogurt with a smudge of honey! This will line the stomach! Does your dog mouth and nip? Answer: Distract them away from your hands etc by using a chew toy. Also Saying ouch in a high pitched voice whilst they are mouthing can discourage them. CONSULT YOUR VET BEFORE TRYING ANY OF THESE! At Heathers Petcare we do what we do because we love animals. The destination we chose was in willsbridge! There are fields galore and woods and even a stream and lake. Gadget and Gusto (springers) live within spitting distance and I have always walked them here! It’s a secluded area and other dogs are seen rarely so we basically have it to ourselves! The dogs can run off lead with no problems and have plenty of space to play! I love this walk and I go a different way everytime and am always finding new areas! But just a pre–warning there are sheep/goats/ horses/deer and cows in surrounding fields, which the more investigative dogs may be able to get to! Below– Archie, Taro, Molly, Gadget, Gusto and Todd Fact File: The area: Willsbridge (opposite the mill) Directions: Head towards Willsbridge mill once you get to the mill you will see a pub- the queens head (on the right) park in the pub car park and hop over the style ENJOY! Molly: Molly is this issues pet of the quarter! Molly a 5 year old greyhound was the first ever dog that i walked! Her owner was pregnant at the time and so i lost molly for a while, whilst the baby was born and settled in! Now Molly is back and is enjoying her longs walks at willsbridge! Molly had a minor separation anxiety problem once her owner went back to work! I suggested the D.A.P diffuser and since then she has been a gem!
