PAGE 5 July 12, 2015 • Fifteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time C ommunity Health Needs Assessment July 12 & 25/26 Every 3 years Dignity Health hospitals must conduct a “Community Health Needs Assessment”. French Hospital Medical Center ( FHMC) is beginning to prepare their 2016 Community Health Needs Assessment. This needs assessment will include an actual health survey of community members residing within our primary service area. In order to get the best possible information, FHMC staff will be outside at each exit of the church asking you to take a few minutes in taking a survey. The survey is anonymous and confidential, takes about 10 minutes to complete. Our goal is to collect quality health surveys from our community so that we will be able to better develop programs and bring them to the areas of our community where they are most needed. Thank you. LANDINGS Mission San Luis Obispo Jack Pierce • 541-4464 EFLECTION OF THE WEEK July 12, 2015 15th Sunday in Ordinary Time We hear how the early Church began in today’s gospel, with the disciples being sent out two by two to continue the work begun by Jesus. Jesus explained to the new missionaries that not all people would be ready to hear what they had to say, but they should not linger with those people. Those who rejected the message would be to face God’s judgment. Community was important as Jesus established his Church on earth and continues to be the essence of the Church today. Two by two, the disciples needed one another. We need one another as well. Reflection question: Adult: What part of the good news of Jesus Christ can I share this week? Child: Which of Jesus’s stories can I tell this week? Reflection and questions from RCL Benziger. http://rclblectionary.com This Week...........................
