leaders, adult catechesis), Natural
Family Planning users, teachers, and

WE BELIEVE
That PTSD is best defined as Post
Traumatic Soul Distress and recognize
that it is primarily a wound to the soul.
That the wounds of the soul can be
treated with various forms of traditional
and new ritual experience.
That veterans heal when welcomed
by civilians who recognize and own
personal and moral responsibility for
our veterans and soldiers for the wars
we ask them to fight in our name.
That veterans heal when the
community cares and supports soldiers
on their return.
That soldiers and civilians need to be
reconnected a common experience of
healing for ourselves and for our nation.
Single room with bath $700.00
Double room with bath $600.00
Some scholarships available. Donations welcomed.

experiences in our journey.

in our historic Old Mission
CHAPEL. Please join us and
stay for one or more decades
of the rosary.
Ave Maria, Friends!
Social Justice Ministry
meets the first Tuesday of every month
at 7 pm in the Serra Center. Join us to
learn what our new projects are, and
what you can do to help.
There will be no meetings for
the Social Justice committee on
Tuesdays until September 1. Many plans are
scheduled for the Fall and beyond! Hope
you will join us then.
Our Pope Francis speaks:
“We must restore hope to young people,
help the old, be open to the future.
Spread LOVE.
Be poor among the poor.
We need to include the excluded
and preach PEACE
Grace is not part of consciousness:
it is the amount of LIGHT in our souls,
not knowledge or reason.”
Let us pray for Pope Francis as he travels and
brings God’s words to the world!

EFLECTION OF THE WEEK
August 2, 2015
18th Sunday of Ordinary Time
Even though the crowd in today’s
Gospel had enough faith in
Jesus—whom they called Rabbi, or
“Teacher”—that they got into boats
and went to Capernaum looking
for him, still they had that small
kernel of doubt in who he was. Yet
again, they asked him for a sign
so that they might truly believe in
him. Jesus basically tells them that
the sign is in their midst, and has
always been in their midst. For
it was God who gave the bread
from heaven to their ancestors in
the desert, and it is God who gave
them the true bread from heaven,
Jesus himself, the Bread of Life.

Te esperamos, no faltes.
P. Braulio Valencia

L TRABAJO QUE DIOS QUIERE
¡Estamos tan ocupados!
No
Dios. Pero confiamos y
tenemos fe en que Dios
nos guía a hacer lo que
es necesario, cuando es
necesario. ¿Cuál es “la
obra de Dios?” “La obra
de Dios consiste en que
crean en aquél a quien él
ha enviado” (Juan 6:29).
