ALP!~NI PRESIDENT/S REPORT
~
. ~.. ~
Dear Alumni,
On Sunday, April 20, 1969, members of the Thiel College Theta Xi
Alumni Association attended the annual Lambda Chi Founder's Day
celebration.
The alumni received
a very optimistic picture concerning
the future of our chapter. Alumni
President, Pastor Gerberding, and
Chapter President, Dave Walos, reported that the present and future
activities of the fraternity
stress
overall improvement in all areas.
The chapter has undergone
new
evaluation by the active brotherhood and the national with intentions of forming a better image.
Many new types of programs are
being initiated to strengthen
the
areas that the chapter is weak in.
One such area is alumni relations.
Within the near future, the active
chapter will try to more than prove
its new and better intentions. Our
Alumni Association must keep faith
by actively supporting the brotherhood in all its good endeavors. At
this time our association needs financial assistance from you, the
alumni. Weare asking for any contributions you deem sufficient. Also,
any information concerning alumni
members or suggestions for improvement will be greatly appreciated. With deepest thanks.
Yours in ZAX

activities. Following a general plan
laid out by the National
Headquarters Public Relations for the
coming year will stress service to
the Greenville Community.
Although we were not able to take
a Spring Pledge Class, we did manage to initiate eight men on Jan. 12.
They are; Rick Dinsmore, Detroit,
Michigan; John Himes, Monaca, Pa;
Jay Hoffer, Norvelt, Pa.; Tom Lehman, Carthage, N. Y; John Marsh,
Greensburg,

So far this semester, the House
has participated
in three major
Community
Service Projects.
In
March, Brothers donated 30 manhours into painting the Greenville
-Recreation-Center.
Alsoln -March,
we sponsored an Easter Egg Hunt
for the children of the faculty, administration, and staff of the College. The affair was co-sponsored by
the Sisters of Chi Omega, and received press coverage. In April, the
Brothers worked hard repairing and
painting the house in the Park Amphitheater.
In the area of Alumni relations,
you've probably noticed that this is
the first Thielambdian to be printed
in two years. The Thielambdian will
try to focus on Alumni affairs, but
we can't guess at what you are doing. We'll need your help most of
all in making the paper successful.
Yours in ZAX
Jack Ostrowski,
RB.
