VOLUME 12, ISSUE 2 IN THIS ISSUE The Living Last
Supper
Worship Services Have
Begun at the Iglesia
Bautista Renacer at White
Lake
You are cordially invited to attend
one of two very dramatic
presentations of the Last Supper.
What went through the minds of the
twelve just after Jesus said, “One of
you shall betray me”?
Excitement is building as we see people
come to know Christ at the Hispanic
Work at White Lake. Pastor Cipriano
Moreno, pastor of a work in Lumberton
and Baptist State Convention of North
Carolina Hispanic Coordinator for the
Eastern Region, is the new work’s pastor.
Thursday, April 2nd, Galeed
Baptist Church —7pm
Friday, April 3rd, Elizabethtown
Baptist Church —7pm
Music: Four Points North & Divine WMU Please pray for this effort. There are an
estimated 4,000 Hispanics living in
Bladen so the fields are white unto
harvest. Pastor Cipriano invites everyone
to join them in the services at White
Lake. Services are held on Sundays with
the Sunday School beginning at 4pm and
worship at 5pm.
A team of 20 very committed
believers from Chicago will be
present to act out what they believe
happened, based on Scriptural
accounts, that night.
There is no charge for the event. A
love offering will be received each
night to help defray the expenses of
the team from Chicago.
Be a friend...bring a friend. Make
this Easter one you nor they will ever
forget.
Speaker: Ken Freeman There is a definite need for your Church
family to be involved in this effort.
Because this is a start-up ministry we are
having to purchase everything an existing
congregation already has in place. To
find out how you may be involved please
stop by or call us at the Association
WMU 101TH ANNUAL WMU
MEETING
THE BLADE | Issue 2 2
Last year’s Pushing Back The Dark went
extremely well with around 500 in
attendance. We are planning for many
more to join us in worship this year.
The purpose of Pushing Back The Dark
is to reach those who would not normally
attend worship services at an existing
Church. This year’s event will feature
two very powerful messages by Ken
Freeman (Big God Conference Speaker
at Myrtle Beach) and music by Four
Points North out of Lumberton and
Divine from the Pembroke area.
Location: Elizabethtown
Middle School Football Field
8:00pm Friday, May 22nd until
6:00am Saturday, May 23rd
Churches are needed to set up a tent
(such as the ones for Relay for Life) to
give away drinks, water, food, sno cones,
popcorn, etc. Tracts, New Testaments
and other Christian items will be given
to those who attend.
The primary target audience is older
children and youth. Music and messages
will be geared to this age group.
However, everyone is invited to attend.

APRIL EXECUTIVE
COMMITTEE MEETING
The April Executive Committee Meeting
will be held on Tuesday, April 21st,
7:30pm at the Good News Baptist
Church. Several important items will be
up for discussion including our Hispanic
work at White Lake, our drug and alcohol
rehab facility, a house that is being
donated to the Association and other
items. If you are a pastor or an Executive
Committee member please attend this
very important meeting. Good News is
located at the intersection of Hwy 211
Bypass and Center Road in Bladenboro.
A Disaster Relief Volunteer Appreciation
Supper is scheduled for May 21st at the
Elizabethtown Baptist Church. The
meal will be served at 6:30pm with the
program beginning around 7pm and
should end around 8pm. Several
ministries will be highlighted that night
and lots of great info on these ministries
will be shared.
Please attend if you possibly can. You
need to pre-register your group as soon as
possible and you may do so by going on
this website:
http://www.baptistsonmission.org/Events
/Region-3-NCBM-Disaster-ReliefVolunteer-Apprec-(1). There is no
charge for this event
Please contact us quickly and let us know
what your Church can do to help with
this outreach effort. (Debbie Edwards

***Cyber Bullying Seminar***
Attention all parents—A free seminar
dealing with how to recognize cyber
bullying, what cyber bullying is and how
to deal with it is being offered on
Thursday, April 9th, 7:00pm and will
be held in the Conference Room at the
Elizabethtown Town Hall. The seminar
will be led by Officer Mark McMichael
with the Elizabethtown Police
Department.
This seminar comes because of several
recent phone calls to the Association
Office from parents whose young teens
have been cyber bullied. Please take
advantage of this presentation. It should
only last about 90 minutes and will
provide some very important
information.

2015 Week of Prayer for
North American Missions
Please do not forget to prayerfully and
financially support this year’s Week Of
Prayer For North American Missions.
100% of your gifts go to help support
missionaries across the US as they reach
out to the many people groups here from
all over the world.
A Special "Thank You!"
Rev. Jack Miller, Pastor of Council
Baptist Church, and his wife, Shirley
would like to extend a heartfelt
"Thank You" to all of those who
prayed, visited, sent cards, provided
meals, and otherwise showed their
love during his recent surgery and his
continuing recovery.
Men’s Prayer Breakfast
at
Tar Heel Baptist Church
The men of Tar Heel Baptist
Church would like to invite all
men and young men to join them
for a prayer breakfast beginning
Friday, April 3rd at 7am. Please
join them if you can for a time of
fellowship, food, inspiration and
prayer.
THE BLADE | Issue 2 4
We also would ask you to pray for our
transportation. We will try to sell our
current buses this summer and purchase
replacements. The board has agreed that
by the time we do all the needed
maintenance we would be better off to
purchase different used buses.
Released Time School
Ministries Update
As we draw to a close of Released
Time in Bladen County this school year,
we are so thankful for the harvest the
Lord has provided. We had around 850
students registered this year and around
200 professions of faith! Praise the
Lord!!
We would love to continue to grow by
adding more schools and students, but as
God' s Word says, "The harvest is
plentiful, but the laborers are few. Pray
you therefore the Lord of the harvest,
that he send forth laborers into His
harvest." (Matthew 9:37-38) Our prayer
is to add Elizabethtown Middle next year,
but we will need the teachers, helpers,
bus drivers and location. Please ask God
how He might lead you to be involved.
State side: Brunswick County RT is in
full swing! There is also an open door to
begin the ground work for a Released
Time in Aberdeen. A former Released
Time student from the Ohio area has a
desire to begin a program through the
Church she currently attends. Lastly,
Duplin County has taken almost two
years, but we are excited to share that we
will begin a Released Time this up
coming school year.
At the state program we desire to help
with seed money for all new
programs. This will help to purchase a
bus, insurance, office supplies etc... We
have a need of $5,000 to meet this
need. Please pray for the provisions to
begin this program. If you or your church
would like to give, please send a check to
Bladen Baptist Association marked for
Duplin County start up!
We so greatly appreciate all your support
for this ministry and Praise the Lord for
His blessings!
Through Christ, Jessica Williams 910549-0344
Director, Bladen County RT
When: April 6th, 7:00pm at
locations scattered all around
Bladen
Why: Because we need the
Lord’s help for our Country, our
