August, 2014 Nolachucky Baptist Association Annual Baptismal Service Sunday, August 3, 7:00 p.m. at Harrell Park (399 Rice Dr., Bean Station) Rev. Scott Helton, pastor of Bethel, will bring the message and the Bethel choir will have the special music during the worship time. Any church that has baptism candidates is encouraged to participate in the baptism. All churches are invited to attend and enjoy the service and fellowship with members from other churches. Sunday, August 3 Pray for all students, teachers, school administrators and staff as the new school year begins this month. Nolachucky Baptist Association Executive Board Meeting Monday, August 4, 7:30 pm Association Office One-Night Revival Services Whitesburg First Baptist, Montvue and Statem Gap are combining Sunday evening services during August for one night revivals. August 10 meeting at Montvue August 17 meeting at Statem Gap August 24 meeting at Whitesburg—there will be a time of fellowship following this service, please bring finger foods. All services begin at 6:00 pm and everyone is invited. Powerful Worship experiences as well as three School of the Prophets classes offered. Special activities are also planned for the wives during the training sessions. Speakers include Dr. Danny Sinquefield, Willie McLaurin, Dr. Dean Haun, Buddy Daniel, Gordon Donahoe, Dr. Steve Echols, and Fredrick Brabson. Belize Mission Trip Cherokee Hills A team made up of 21 people from Beulah, Bible’s Chapel, Concord and Leadvale built platforms for water tanks, bunk beds, and outhouses. The team also handed out beans and rice. Fernwood Rocky Point Rocky Point Youth Serve at Myrtle Beach The team gave water and prayed with people on the beach. They served a meal and presented a program for lifeguards and also for a senior citizens home. Buffalo Trail Regional Hispanic Youth Rally held in July at Manley Baptist Church Baptist Builders from Hillcrest and Rocky Point recently built a handicap accessible ramp for the Dalton family.
