Wi-Fi Internet
for leading business hotel
in Central Europe
With its 791 rooms and congress premises with
a total area of 5,000 m2, the Hilton Prague Hotel
ranks among the absolute best not only in the
Czech Republic but also in Central Europe as
a whole. The hotel offers a Congress Hall with a
capacity of 1,500 participants, the elegant Hilton
Grand Ballroom with a capacity of 650 people and
a further 37 conference and banquet rooms.
The Hilton Prague was awarded as the best hotel
for corporate clientele in Eastern Europe, Business
Traveller Awards 2013, for a fourth year running.
Following excellent long-standing cooperation,
Mikenopa was selected as the supplier of a
completely new Wi-Fi infrastructure in the hotel. On
the basis of measurements of the strength of the Wi-Fi
signal (site survey), Mikenopa experts proposed that it be
based on the Ruckus Wireless technology including 159
access points and two fully redundant Wi-Fi controllers. In
addition, the network infrastructure is secured by proven
Cisco Catalyst manageable switches. The entire hardware
solution is integrated into the Fast@Friendly Internet
Access® technology by Mikenopa.
The robustness of the entire solution was proved e.g.
during a presentation of new MS Windows 8, where up to
1,500 devices were simultaneously connected to the Wi-Fi
network.
Mit 791 Zimmern und Kongressräumlichkeiten

Aufgrund der hervorragenden, langjährigen
Zusammenarbeit wurde Mikenopa als der Lieferant
für eine komplett neue Wi-Fi-Infrastruktur im
Hotel ausgewählt. Anhand der Messung des
Wi-Fi-Signals (Untersuchung vor Ort) haben
die Mikenopa-Fachleute die Ruckus-WirelessTechnologie einschl. 159 Zugangspunkte und
zwei Wi-Fi-Steuergeräte mit voller Redundanz der

Turnkey Delivery
of low voltage systems
in Top Class Resort
Velaa Private Island in Maldives, which officially
opened in December 2013, became immediately
one of the most luxurious hotel resorts in the world.
Mikenopa was selected to participate in this
project, based on our experience in integration and
installation of low voltage systems in hotels. After
two years of work of our technicians and engineers
in the challenging conditions of a tropical island in
the middle of the Indian Ocean, which demanded
a completely unique approach to management,
planning and processing of the planned operations,
the project was successfully completed by handing
over all technologies into operation.
Our delivery included a lot more than the installation
of passive and active LAN and Wi-Fi devices for
the hotel facilities and all the buildings of the resort.
In Velaa, we have launched a full service package
for Audio-Video throughout the resort, and also
provided a so-called „carefree“ service, which is
imperceptible by resort guests, but will accurately
perform all actions required when registering a
guest.
All 47 guest villas are equipped with an IPTV system,
which enables you to view movies in standard or
HD (High Definition) quality. We have also launched
video call applications for more convenient and
effective communication with the outside world.
After the successful completion of the design and
configuration of all local specifications, we continue
to cooperate with the Hotel as a full onsite technical
support service.
Das Velaa Private Island auf den Malediven wurde
im Dezember 2013 offiziell eröffnet und gehörte
sofort zu einem der luxuriösesten Hotelressorts
weltweit.
Mikenopa wurde anhand unserer Erfahrungen
ausgewählt, bei der Integration und Installation von
Niederspannungssystemen an diesem Projekt
teilzunehmen. Nach zweijähriger Arbeit unserer
Techniker und Ingenieure in den anspruchsvollen
Bedingungen tropischer Inseln mitten im Indischen
Ozean, was einen komplett anderes Management,
andere Planung und Durchführung der geplanten
Tätigkeiten erforderte, wurde das Projekt mit der
Inbetriebnahme aller Technologien erfolgreich
abgeschlossen.

Unsere Lieferung umfasste mehr als nur die
Installation der passiven und aktiven LAN- und
WLAN-Geräte im Hotel und in allen Gebäuden
im Ressort. In Velaa haben wir ein vollständiges
Dienstleistungspaket für Audio und Video am
gesamten Ressortgelände in Betrieb gesetzt und
auch die sogenannte „pflegeleichte“ Dienstleistung
zur Verfügung gestellt, die von den Ressortgästen
nicht bemerkt wird, jedoch alle erforderlichen
Tätigkeiten bei der Registrierung der Gäste
übernimmt.
Alle 47 Villen werden mit dem IPTV-System
ausgestattet, welches ermöglicht, Filme in Standardoder HD-(High Definition)-Qualität zu sehen. Wir
haben auch Anwendungen für Videocalls realisiert,
die eine bequemere und effektivere Kommunikation
mit der Außenwelt ermöglichen.
Nach der erfolgreichen Fertigstellung des Projekts
und der Konfiguration aller örtlichen spezifizierten
Vorgaben setzen wir die Zusammenarbeit mit dem
Hotel in Form der vollen technischen Unterstützung
vor Ort weiter fort.

Moscow, Mikenopa has implemented its
own solution Fast@Friendly Internet Access®,
which perfectly meets all guests requirements
and supports both wired and wireless (Wi-Fi)
connections.
Provision of High-Speed Internet
Access Services
This solution allows users to select the duration
and speed of the connection: free access with
limited speed, payment via hotel bill, a voucher
or credit card, group access for conferences,
possible discounts for VIP clients, and prompt
switching from a wired (cable) connection to
Wi-Fi and vice versa. Moreover, this system
includes a secure network printing solution,
called HotelPrint.
The entire system is constantly monitored and
supported by a technical support line, the
HelpLine, which is available 24x7 (in English,
