DOLCEACQUA - SANREMO
Taking the coast road we pass through the pretty towns
of Ospedaletti and Bordighera making our way towards
the Nervia Valley.
Time to explore the beautiful village of Dolceacqua ,
once home to the powerful Doria Family, and where
the ruins of their Castle can be seen.
The Village gives its name to one of the Region’s most
important wines, Rossese of Dolceacqua, which can
be sampled at the Gajaudo Cantina in Isolabona along
with other the specialities of the area such as olive oil,
olive patè, dried tomatoes etc.
In the afternoon we go to Sanremo where we have the chance to see the famous Casinò of this town,
the Russian Church, the medieval centre called The Pigna, and the elegant shopping area.

Anfahrt je nach Uebernachtungsort teils auf der Blumenautobahn, teils auf der Kuestenstrasse.
Sanremo ist die unumstrittene Hauptstadt der Blumenriviera und besitzt somit einen oekonomisch
wichtigen Blumenmarkt, aber auch ein schoenes Spielcasino im Liberty Stil, eine kleine Russische Kirche, die eleganten Boutiquen der Via Matteotti, zwei Haefen und riesige Parkanlagen.
Die Reiseleitung begleitet die Gaeste in die Innenstadt, zeigt die interessanten Eckchen und gibt Tips
fuer die Freizeit, in welcher jedermann Sanremo auf eigene Faust “erobern” kann.
Zu Mittagszeit geht’s weiter auf der malerischen Kuestenstrasse durch das elegante Ospedaletti und
den Luftkurort Bordighera und dann weiter ins Landesinnere nach Dolceacqua.
Dolceacqua ist der Geburtsort der Mutter des Admirals Andrea Doria und den mittelalterlichen Ortsteil, zu dem man ueber eine malerische, ganze 33m lange romanische Bruecke gelangt, ueberragt die
Burgruine “Castello Doria”. Der gemeinsame Spaziergang
durch die alten Gaesschen, groesstenteils liebevoll restauriert, ist fuer jeden Gast immer wieder eine grosse Ueberraschung und ein Erlebnis. Im Herbst duftet es an allen Ecken
nach dem Most des ligurischen Qualitaetsweines “Rossese”,
der gerade hier beheimatet ist.
Anschliessend ist es natuerlich ein MUSS auch mal diesen
feinen Wein und ein paar typische ligurische “Hinterlandsschmankerl” in einem der schoenen und renomierten Lokale
ganz in der Naehe von Dolceacqua zu probieren. Das gemuetliche Zusammensein der Gruppe und ein Glaeschen
Wein “ueber den Durst” ist fuer viele der kroenende Abschluss der gesamten Reise an die Blumenriviera!
RAPALLO - PORTOFINO
We leave our Hotel at 08.00 am and take the motorway till Rapallo, one of the most elegant resorts in
eastern Liguria, where we will spend the day with the
Jet Set. Enjoy a walk through the narrow streets and
wander through the shopping centre. Time for lunch
and then on to the fashionable resort of Portofino by
boat -weather permitting.
A 25 minutes cruise affords us the finest view of the
coastline and we enter the bay of Portofino to find
this enchanting fishing village with its magnifient yachts.
The Bruni Castle and the Church of St. George dominate the whole bay, and if you are feeling energetic a

Departure at 08.00 am for a full day excursion to the Principality of Monaco, home of the Grimaldi
Princes.
A visit to the Exotic Gardens of Monaco gives us the chance to admire more than 6.000 cactus and
tropical plants in a beautiful setting with breath taking views over the principality.
We continue toward the old part of the Monaco known as “The Rock” with the possibility to visit one
of the most important aquariums in Europe the Oceanographic Institute, until recently under the direction
of Jacques Cousteau, a visit to the Grimaldi Palace during certain months of the year is always very
popular, and of course the Cathedral of Monaco, where the Tomb of Princess Grace can be seen .

zum Fuerstentum von Monaco.

- dem Alten Hafen mit seinem Handelsteil “La

EXCURSIONS
Abfahrt um 8.30/9.30 Uhr
Anfahrt auf der Autobahn entlang der ligurischen Kueste. Die Fahrt fuehrt ueber die Badeorte der “Riviera
die Ponente” (westliche Kueste Liguriens) ueber die groesste Hafenstadt Italiens, Genua, zur wildromantischen “Riviera di Levante” (oestliche Kueste Liguriens).
Im Osten der Stadt verlassen der Autobahn bei der Ausfahrt “Genua Nervi”. Nervi ist ein einstiger Winterkurort der Oberen Zehntausend und nicht weniger schoen als die zahlreichen weiteren Doerfchen an
dieser bunten, felsigen Kuestenstrasse. Ueber den “Paradiesgolf” geht’s hinauf zum Rutapass (400 ueber
Meeresspiegel) und hinab zum Tigulliogolf.
Rapallo ist in erster Linien wegen der Friedensvertraege zu Ende des Ersten Weltkrieges jedermann ein
Begriff und hat eine gepflegte Palmenpromenade.
Hier startet die Schifffahrt ueber Santa Margherita Ligure nach Portofino (Dauer ca. 30 min.).
Portofino ist ein winziger Ort mit farbenpraechtigen Turmhaeusern, welche den natuerlichen Hafen mit
eleganten Luxusjachten umsaeumen. Auf jeden Fall lohnt sich ein Abstecher zur am Hang gelegenen
Pfarrkirche des Ortsheiligen S. Giorgio, um dort den atemberaubenden Ausblick auf den Ort und dessen
Bucht aus der Vogelperspektive zu geniessen. Weiterhin
locken kleine Gemaeldegallerien, die Auslagen suendteurer Boutiquen und natuerlich die gemuetlichen Strassencafes. Dort muss man einfach mal die Eisspezialitaet “Paciugo” (Erdbeer- und Vanilleeis mit Sahne und roten Fruechten) probieren!
Mit dem Schiff geht’s zurueck nach Rapallo, von wo aus
mit dem Bus die Rueckfahrt auf der Autobahn angetreten
wird.
Ankunft im Hotel: 17.30/18.30 Uhr.

Erster Halt “ueber den Daechern Monacos” zur Besichtigung des europaweit einzigartigen Exotischen Gartens mit
Tausenden von Kakteen und Dickblattgewaechsen, welche hier seit Jahrzehnten liebevoll aklimatisiert wurden.
Die ueberdimensionalen Pflanzen, die Bluetenpracht und
der atemberaubende Ausblick machen aus dem Besuch
ein Erlebnis!
Anschliessend wird die Altstadt von Monaco besucht. Dort
wird Ihre Reiseleitung die Gaeste durch die mittelalterlichen Gaesschen in die neuromanische Kathedrale Saint
Nicolas (Fuerstengruft mit Grab der Fuerstin Grazia Patrizia und Fuerst Rainer) und zum Fuerstenpalast begleiten. Dort findet um 11.55 die Grosse Wachabloesung statt (kleine Abloesung zu jeder vollen Stunde). Eine der bekanntesten Attraktionen der Altstadt
Monacos ist das aelteste (1910 von Fuerst Albert erbaut) und vielfaeltigste Ozeanografische Institut,
welches fast bis zu dessen Tod unter der Direktion von Jacques Cousteau stand. Es gibt das Meereslaboratorium, Skelette von Meeressaeugetieren, eine wunderschoene Dachterasse, und vor allen Dingen mehr
als 90 Basins mit Fischen aus allen Weltmeeren und ganz neu auch ein riesiges Becken mit einem Korallenriff aus Djibouti am Roten Meer.
Natuerlich gibt’s auch Freizeit fuer einen Bummel durch die Altstadt “auf eigene Faust”, wo jedermann
schoene Motive und Souvenirgeschaeftchen entdecken oder einfach das Treiben im Herzen Monacos auf
einem sonnigen Plaetzchen geniessen wird.
Die Fahrt in Richtung Monte Carlo auf einem Teil der Rennstrecke des Grossen Preises von Monaco und
deren Startlinie ist garantiert fuer jeden Formel 1 Fan ein weiterer Hoehepunkt dieses Ausfluges. Das
Spielcasino Monte Carlos, weltberuemt und ausserst prunkvoll, ist als Meisterwerk des Architekten Charles Garnier ein absolutes “Muss” fuer jeden Besucher des Fuerstentums (Mindestalter 18 Jahre). Schon
nachmittags ist dort regulaerer Spielbetrieb und so kann man nicht nur die eleganten Raeumlichkeiten
besichtigen, sondern auch das ganz persoenliche Glueck herausfordern!

Waehrend des ca. 2 stuendigen Aufenthaltes in Cannes begleitet die Reiseleitung Ihre Gaeste zum Haupteingang des Neuen Filmfestspielgebaeudes, wo man aehnlich dem “Walk of fame” von Hollywood die
Handabdruecke saemtlicher Regisseure und Schauspieler sehen kann, welche sich hier im Laufe der

auf dem Mittelmeer bietet sich ein unvergesslicher Blick auf das Villenviertel “Kleines Kalifornien” auf den
Huegeln von Cannes, das Esterelmassif mit seinen roten Felsen, das Cap d’ Antibes, und, mit ein bisschen
Glueck, auch auf die im Sommer mit Schnee bedeckten Seealpen noerdlich von Nizza.
Der Hoehepunkt ist die Fahrt um die Lerins-Inseln: Sainte Marguerite mit dem ehemaligen franzoesischen Staatsgefaengnis “Mann mit der eisernen Maske”, Saint Honorat und dessen mittelalterliche Fliehburg und Saint Fereol, der ersten Grabstadt des Geigenvirtuosen Nicolò Paganini.
Es bleibt natuerlich auch Zeit fuer einen gemuetlichen Spaziergang an der Promenade und zu einem
Abstecher zum eleganten Hotel Carlton, umgeben von eleganten Boutiquen.
Nun geht’s auf der Kuestenstrasse ueber die Orte Golf-Juan, Juan les pins, Antibes, u.s.w. zurueck nach

Tronchetto, you will reach the famous San

the Grand Canal; from there you will

On a private boat you will be taken to Limone,
where you will have the possibility to visit the
nice village.
This place is immediately associated with the
blossoming lemon trees, oleanders and a lush
vegetation. Limone lies at the feet of the rock
Dosso di Roveri at it seems to be dominated
by it.
Limone is represented by the terrace
“limonaie”, which are the plantations where
the lemons grow.
Take time to enjoy a nice coffee cup at the lake
promenade.
Then you will continue by boat to Malcesine
at the feet of the gorgeous Monte Baldo. There,
you will admire the old centre and its narrow streets, the small harbour and the lake promenade. Visit
the castle that inspired the German poet J.W. Von Goethe. In the end return by boat to either Riva del
Garda or Torbole.

Sie liegt direct am Fuss des majestätischen Monte Baldo. Eine wunderschöne Altstadt mit engen Gassen,
dem kleinen Hafen und der Seepromenade, verführt zum Bummeln.
Ein Besuch der Skaligerburg soll nicht fehlen, der Blick von der Burg aus inspierierte auch den Dichter J.W.

Mit dem Schiff fahren Sie dann bis zum Abfahrtsort (Riva / Torbole) zurück.
Keuzfahrt mit privatem Motorboot nach Limone
(westliche Zitronenriviera). Hier verbringen Sie eine

Mit dem Boot fahren Sie dann anschliessend weiter bis nach Malcesine bei der Ostlichen Olivenriviera,
mit der Scaligerburg, Altstadt und der schönen Seepromenade. Von Malcesine aus Weiterfahrt mit dem
Bus bis nach Sirmione, Perle des Gardasees.
Auf der Rückfahrt kurzer Halt in Lazise, bzw. Garda oder beim Olmuseum in Bardolino mit freier

VENEZIA, MURANO, BURANO, TORCELLO
Besides the traditional excursion to Venice, the one you can read of here above, you can also add the
visit of the wonderful islands of Murano, Burano and Torcello.
The first island that one comes to is Burano. This fisherman’s island has a strong identity and its brightly
coloured houses are its most striking characteristic. It is famous the world over for its lace production,
proudly displayed at the Lace Museum near to the square dedicated to the famous musician Baldassare
Galuppi. Excellent restaurants make a visit to the island an extremely pleasant culinary experience.
Opposite Burano is the island of Torcello, the first settlement of what was later to become Venice.
The centre of the island features the Basilica of Our Lady of the Assumption, which dates from 639 and
that houses priceless Byzantine mosaics, the adjacent church of
St. Fosca and the Estuary Museum. Continuing the itinerary one
comes to Murano, the best known of the three islands.
Murano is the world’s blown glass capital and bustles with furnaces
still in use today and that still employ the same production
methods as those invented by the master glass-blowers centuries
ago. The Glass Museum houses pieces of great artistic value and
exquisite craftsmanship. Back to the harbour with the boat and
return to the hotel.

SIENA - SAN GIMINIANO
The historic centre of Siena has been declared by UNESCO a
World Heritage Site. The city is also famous for the “Palio” which is a traditional medieval horse race, run around the Piazza
del Campo every year on 2 July and 16 August. This event is
attended by large crowds, and is widely televised. We shall also
visit the Basilica di S.Domenico and the Gothic style Palazzo
Pubblico, overlooked by the Torre del Mangia and Palazzo Sansedoni, as well as the Cathedral in Duomo Square. This is followed by some free time at your disposal before departure to
San Giminiano. This beautiful town of San Giminiano rises on a hill, dominating the Elsa Valley with its
towers, surrounded by splendid Tuscan countryside. You will visit the Collegiate Church, the People’s
Palace, the Church of S.Agostino and will have the possibility to enter the Museum of Sacred Arts and
the Archeological Museum. You can also try some famous Vernaccia wine.

FIRENZE
The city lies on the Arno River and is known for its history and
importance in the Middle Ages and Renaissance period, especially for its art and architecture. A centre of medieval European
trade and finance, the city is often considered the birthplace of
the Italian Renaissance. You will visit the most famous monuments of the city with a local guide: the Cathedral, the Baptistry
of San Giovanni, which is the essence of the city, the Church
Santa Croce, where the most well-known Italian artists and poets are buried and Ponte Vecchio with its many jewellers. You
will have some free time to see the city, to either visit the well
known museums such as the Uffizi, or to do some shopping.

In the afternoon tour of the city of Lucca, after a short walk along
the famous and historic city walls, we visit the city with its narrow
medieval streets, San Martino, San Michele and San Frediano churches and the amphitheatre square. In the evening there will be a

We meet with our guide and depart for S.Martino to visit Napoleon’s Villa. We continue for a tour on
the panoramic roads of this isle until we reach Porto Azzurro. We visit its historical centre where there
is also the possibility of seeing an artisan ore workshop and the “Piccola Miniera” (the little mine).
On the way back, we stop at a farm and taste some D.O.C wines (authenticated trade-mark wines) and
some typical Elba products. In the afternoon we visit the western coast of the isle: Procchio, Marciana

A full day visit to the Cinque Terre, which represents one of the main tourist
attractions of the Riviera of La Spezia and in general of the Ligurian region.
It is a splendid area famous for its nature attractions and its vineyards leaning on the sea. We leave by train with our tour leader to visit Riomaggiore,
Manarola and Vernazza. There is an optional lunch in a restaurant at Monterosso, and a visit to the old centre of the town followed by return to the
hotel.

impressions. First stop at Amalfi, which gives its name to the whole coast on which it lies. Once a
thriving Marine Republic, powerful and prosperous and now a thriving holiday resort.
The unmistakable cluster of white tightly packed houses rising up the hillside is dominated by the
beautiful Cathedral, which stands superbly on the top of a great flight of steps leading up from the main
square. Housed in the magnificent Cathedral are the remains of the Patron Saint of Amalfi and also
Scotland – Saint Andrew.
From Amalfi we visit Ravello, which nestles eleven hundred feet above the sea in the hillside. We visit
the Villa Rufolo which gave the musician Richard Wagner the inspiration to create one of his most
famous operas, Parsifal.

Sail across the bay of Naples for the start of an unforgettable day. For so small an island, about 4 miles
long and 2 miles wide. Capri has had much said, sung and written about it. First you will visit the
fabulous villa of Dr. Axel Munthe, a Swedish doctor whose best selling book “ Story of San Michele” tells
of his time on Capri. His villa was built with the remains of Roman ruins; there is a beautiful shady
garden with terrace offering splendid views of the island.
This is optional and the entrance fee should be paid direct to the guide. You then go down to Capri
town which is very chic with shops, hotels and restaurants along winding streets. The main square
Piazza Umberto I has a pretty white church and several open-air cafes where you can sit and watch the
world drift by.
Leading off the square are medieval looking alleyways and arcades full of shops selling the handicrafts of
the island, clothing; jewelry made from coral and gold, shoes and ceramics. Admire the colourful gardens
of Augustus overlooking the famed Faraglioni Rocks and Marina Piccola where Gracie Fields once lived.
There is free time for you to go off and admire the elegant boutiques, stroll along the cobbled streets or
simply relax on the beach.

POMPEI & VESUVIO
Pompei holds an intense fascination for visitors today. Following the eruption of the volcano Mount
Vesuvius in the year 79 A.D., Pompei lay buried and forgotten for hundreds of years.
The town is high on the list of the Wonders of the World and the excavations begun in the 18th Century
are still being carried out today. Our guide will take you slowly through some of the ancient streets of
Pompei where you can see Baths, Forums and Villas built by the prosperous Romans in the year 80 B.C.
Marvel at the fabulously preserved Frescos which adorned the walls and floors of the Villas. Even if your
interests do not lie in history, this is an archaeological site that cannot fail to impress you. Mount
Vesuvius dominates the Bay of Naples. It is the only active volcano on the mainland of Europe. The
slopes were once covered with vineyards and woods and provided an innocent looking backdrop for
the bustling town below.
The coach will take you to within 1.000 metres of the top of Vesuvius and from here you can walk to the
very top and admire the splendid panoramic views across the bay. (From the blackened crater rises a
single plume of smoke, a reminder that the volcano is only sleeping for now…).

Minuten. Ein Weg, der allerdings reichlich belohnt wird, durch eine einmalige Aussicht auf den riesigen
Krater und auf die umliegende Landschaft, bis hin zum Golf von Neapel.
NAPOLI & SOLFATARA
Naples is rich in history with buildings, churches and monuments dating back centuries.
On our tour, you will be able to visit the National Museum, where the treasures from Pompei and
Herculaneum are kept. There is also a valuable collection of paintings, bronzes and mosaics.
After the museum visit, you will see the Royal Palace, the Piazza Plebiscito, the Piazza Municipio with
its huge medieval castle, the “Maschio Angioino,” and the San Carlo Opera house. In the afternoon,
you will visit the Solfatara, an active sulphurous crater just outside Pozzuoli.

On the last full day of the tour we visit the famous “Uffizi Gallery”, which has a superb collection of art
work, including the major collections of Botticcelli and the main classic Florence sculptures. The building
is divided into various rooms according to the different schools and styles in chronological order.
Next we depart for Fiesole: located on a hill only 6 km from Florence; it is a popular touristic area due
to the lovely countryside and for its history and culture. There is the “Roman Theatre”, which is perfectly
conserved, as well as the remains of a necropolis, Roman spas and other imperial buildings.

Visit to Rome’s old district starting from Piazza di Spagna. We continue by foot to the Trevi Fountain,
Piazza Venezia and Campidoglio, today the centre of Rome’s
Municipal Chambers. Leaving Campidoglio we can admire a
sculpture of Marco Aurelio. We then proceed along the Via dei
Fori Imperiali until we arrive at the Foro Romano, followed by
The Colosseum, a symbol of ancient Roman civilization and power
and one of the most famous in the world. We then proceed to the
Arco di Costantino and finally to the Church of Santa Maria in
Cosmedin, where there is the famous mask of the Bocca della
Verità.
Von der Spanischen Treppe aus besichtigen wir die das antike
Rom.Dann fahren wir weiter zum Trevibrunnen,Piazza Venezia bis
zum Campidoglio dem heutigen Sitz der Stadt Rom.Vor dem Palast
Abfahrt von der Piazza Navona,wo man die Arbeiten von Bernini,Borromini und G.della Porta bewundern
kann welche zu den wichtigsten Kuenstlern der Barrockzeit gehoerten.Dazu gehoert auch das Monument
von Sant’Ivo alla Sapienza von Borromini,welches als das hervorragenste Kunstwerk gehoert was Rom zu

Sitz des italienischen Senates. Nicht weit davon entfernt befindet sich der Palazzo della Sapienza,der alte
Sitz der Universitaet,welcher von Michelangelo entworfen wurde und dessen Kuppel von Borromini
gestaltet wurde. Wenn Sie den Fluss ueberquert haben,koennen Sie die Basilika von San Pietro betrachten
und von der Engelsbruecke aus dann die enorme groesse des Platzes welcher von Bernini gestaltet wurde
bewundern.. Ankunft auf dem Petersplatz welcher mit grossartigen Arbeiten von Michelangelo,Bernini
und anderen Kuenstlern ausgestattet ist.
In der Naehe des Platzes befinden sich die Vatikanischen Museen.Man kann dort die Raeume von Raffael
und zum Schluss die Sixtinische Kappelle betrachten.

Departure from Porta San Paolo and the Cestia Pyramide, a monumental tomb of Roman times. We
visit the Caracalla Spas, one of the largest complex spas of old. We continue to Circo Massimo, a great
example of Etruscan architecture in Rome. We then arrive at San Giovanni in Laterano, one of the
most important basilicas of Rome after Saint Peters. Finally we visit the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore,
erected in 352 A.D. after an apparition of the Madonna.
Abfahrt von der Porta San Paolo und der Cestia Pyramide:welche als Grab diente und zu Ehern von Caio
Cestius Epulon errichtet wurde.Danach steht die Bisichtigung der Caracalla Thermen auf dem
Programm,welche die groessten der Antike waren. Man
faehrt dann weiter bis zum Zirkus Maximus,ein Beispiel
fuer das etruskische Rom.Er wurde fuer Vorfuehrungen
von Tarquinio Prisco erbaut.Es geht dann weiter bis zur
Kirche San Giovanni in Laterano,die Kirche welche nach
dem Petersdom die zweitgroesste in Rom ist.Zuletzt die
Kirche von Santa Maria Maggiore,welche nach der
Erscheinung der Madonna im Jahre 352 errichtet wurde.

Departure from Piazza Navona, where it is possible to admire works of art
by masters such as Bernini, Borromini e G. della Porta, who were the most
important exponents of Baroque art. We proceed to the Church of
Sant’Agostino with its Renaissance façade and famous fresco by Raffaello.
We continue on to the Palazzo Madama, the opulent residence of the de
Medici family in Rome and nowadays the site of the Italian Republic Senate.
Nearby is the Palazzo della Sapienza, antique home of the University of Studies, designed by Michelangelo
and with an original dome built by Borromini. Across the river from the Saint Angelo’s bridge, you can
see the Basilica of Saint Peter with the Square surrounded by the Bernini Columns. We arrive in San
Peter’s Square where there are works of art by Michelangelo, Bernini and many other Italian and world
famous artists. Not far from the Square it is possible to visit the Vatican Museums containing the famous
Raffaello Rooms and finally to the Sistine Chapel.

jewel of Venetian Byzantine style, the Campanile and the Palazzo Ducale which was the political
headquarters of the Repubblica and is the highest example of Venetian art. We go on to the Dorsoduro
area where the palaces are very unique then visit the Church of San Nicolò and the Palazzo Zenobio.
We end the tour in a less touristic area: Isola di San Giorgio, la Giudecca e le Zattere.

Tour of the market of Rialto and the antique bridge of Rialto
which connects the two rivers of the Canal Grande. On the

Visit of the wonderful islands Murano, Burano and Torcello. The first island that one comes to is Burano.
This fisherman’s island has a strong identity and its brightly coloured houses are its most striking
characteristic. It is famous the world over for its lace production, proudly displayed at the Lace Museum
near to the square dedicated to the famous musician Baldassare Galuppi. Excellent restaurants make a
visit to the island an extremely pleasant culinary experience. Opposite Burano is the island of Torcello,
the first settlement of what was later to become Venice. The centre of the island features the Basilica of
Our Lady of the Assumption, which dates from 639 and that houses priceless Byzantine mosaics, the
adjacent church of St. Fosca and the Estuary Museum. Continuing the itinerary one comes to Murano,
the best known of the three islands. Murano is the world’s blown glass capital and bustles with furnaces
still in use today’s and that still employ the same production methods as those invented by the master
glass-blowers centuries ago. The Glass Museum houses pieces of great artistic value and exquisite
craftsmanship. Back to the harbour with the boat and return to the hotel.
Venezia kann man aber auch anders wie üblich besuchten. Man hat mit dieser Variante etwas weniger
Zeit für die Stadt, aber dafür entdecken Sie andere schönen Ecken
der Venetianischen Lagune: die Insel Burano, Murano und Torcello.
Man erreicht die Parkinsel Tronchetto, von dort aus nehmen Sie unser
privates Boot und fahren Sie nach Murano, das für die Glasbläsereien
bekannt ist. Zeit zum Bummeln durch die kleine Insel und Besuch
einer Glasbläserei. Man fährt dann weiter mit dem Boot bis nach
Torcello, wo einst die Kultur der Lagune bluhte und kurzer Besuch
der alten Basilica (Eintritpflich!), auf dem Rückweg Aufenthalt bei der
Insel Burano, für die schönen Häuschen mit kräftigen Farben bekannt
und natührlich auch die alten Damen die die schönen Spitzearbeiten
noch heute machen. Es bleibt noch eine Stunde Zeit für einen kleinen
Spaziergang durch die Piazza San Marco sowie für ein gutes Capuccino
beim Cafè Florian. Rückfahrt mit dem Boot bis zur Parkinsel Tronchetto.

aelteste welche den Canal Grande ueberspannt.Auf der rechten Seite
der Bruecke befindet sich der Palazzo dei Camerlenghi und die Kirche
von S.Giacometto.
Vielleicht die aleteste Kirche von Venedig.Davor befindet sich der Gobbo von Rialto: es war das
kommerzielle Zentrum Venedigs;die Kirche von S.Cassiano mit den Bildern von Tintoretto und
Schiavone.Der Platz von San Polo,Namensgeber von Sestiere:hier fanden Wettrennen und Feste statt,ebenso
Maskenbaelle waehrend des Karnevals.
Die Kirche von S.Polo (Stadtteil S.Paolo9mit seine Bildern von Tintoretto,Palma il Giovane und Gian
Domenico Tiepolo mit 14 Bildern der Via Crucis.Das Haus Goldoni:heute Museum des Theaters und
Gedenkstaette von Goldoni:Die Basilika dei Frari mit Bildern grosser Maler wie Tizian und Bellini und

Sestiere takes its name from Campo san Paolo, where there were
races, bull-chasing and masquerade parties during Carnival time. We
go on to visit The Church of San Polo (contraction of San Paolo) with
paintings by Tintoretto, Palma il Giovane e Tiepolo, who painted the
Via Crucis; Goldoni’s home: nowadays a theatre museum with
memoirs of Goldoni; Basilica dei Frari with paintings by some of the
greatest artists, such as Tiziano and Bellini and finally the Great School
of San Rocco.
