THANK YOU...
Dear parishioners of Saint Sharbel,
Thank you so much for your thoughtfulness and generosity.
Thank you also for your continued prayers as we continue to fight
through this ordeal. We are truly blessed to have such a wonderful
community like Saint Sharbel around us. The money we received will
be used solely for Najat's care. We are still very hopeful for a complete recovery and we hope to be able pay this gift forward.

DEAR FRIENDS,
I wish to extend my heartfelt gratitude to everyone at St. Sharbel
Church for the loving support and prayers I received during the
recent illness and ultimate passing of my Mother, Delores Grobbel. I
was overwhelmed at the outpouring of condolences I received from
my Maronite family here at St. Sharbel Church! Every kind word,
card, visit, phone call, food, and expression of sympathy meant so
much to me and touched my heart. I not only lost my Mother, but
also a very, very dear friend. Everyone who met her couldn’t help
but like her and she prayed for everyone who asked for her prayers.
She was an incredible woman of faith who touched many lives by
her kindness and her prayers.
I would also like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their
patience during my bereavement leave from work. I know that this
has caused a few problems, mistakes, and inconveniences, however,
I ask for your understanding and continued patience as I try to catch
up and rectify anything that may have gone unaddressed during my
time off.
Thank you again for keeping me and my family in your prayers.
Please know you remain in mine.
Sincerely yours in Christ,
Dianne Bartolomeo

RELIGIOUS EDUCATION NEWS!
The Religious Education Program needs you. Please consider
being a catechist for 2013/2014 school year. As always we are
loosing some of our wonderful catechist. Reasons vary from moves
to children growing up, to getting involved in other ministries. Next
fall we will be in need of catechists. If you are available on Sunday
morning, please consider giving one hour of your time. Remember
you don’t have to be a theologian, just someone who loves children,
loves your faith and wants to share it. We will help you with the rest.
The pay is not terrific in fact it’s non existent, but the perks are incredible.
PARENTS WITH CHILDREN ENTERING 1st GRADE...
Attendance of 1st and 2nd grade Religious Education classes is required in order to receive First Communion in 2 nd grade. Be sure to
register your first grader for classes this year.

SECOND COLLECTION
FEAST OF STS. PETER AND PAUL
A second collection will be taken next weekend, June 28/29 for
the Feast of Sts. Peter and Paul. This collection is sent to the Holy
Father for him to assist, with emergency financial assistance, the

OFFERING ENVELOPES
PLEASE CONTINUE TO USE YOUR ENVELOPES
Our GRATITUDE to all who are supporting St. Sharbel Church.
Your generosity is a blessing! Thank you and God bless you!!
REMINDER ABOUT ENVELOPES
The envelope system is important. Remember to check or write in
your amount so we can record it.
Also, please do not use tape on your envelopes. God bless!
PROPER DRESS FOR CHURCH
PLEASE DRESS MODESTLY
With the weather getting warmer, we kindly remind you to dress
modestly when you come to Church. The Church is God’s sacred
house, and we should dress with our best attire when we come to
worship God. Please do not come in shorts, mini-skirts or halter
tops. Thank you for your consideration in adherence to this
reminder.
LITURGICAL BOOKS
PLEASE RESPECT OUR NEW LITURGY BOOKS BY
HANDLING THEM WITH CARE AND RETURNING
THEM PROPERLY IN THE PEWS! Thank you!
THANK YOU ST. LABA SOCIETY MEMBERS
Many members of the St. Laba Society participated in a full day
of the St. Laba praying area between the Tamer Building and the
garage. They worked all day on Saturday, June 8th weeding,
trimming, planting, and “rehabilitating” the ground stones and
statue. How beautiful this very special area of our complex now
looks! Please take time to stop by and pause a moment to reflect
and say a prayer!
A TASTE OF LEBANON
ST. SHARBEL CHURCH FESTIVAL
September 6th - 7th - 8th, 2013
Plans for our Festival - A Taste of Lebanon - are well underway!
There are many opportunities for everyone to become involved
by volunteering before and during the Festival. Of critical importance, your help is needed NOW to promote “A Taste of Lebanon” by getting businesses or individuals to become a sponsor.
There are a variety of sponsorships that allow for donations both
large and small.
In addition to helping us fund our endeavor, sponsorship provides
businesses and individuals in the community an opportunity to
become better known, while enjoying the benefits offered with
each sponsorship level. We would like to cover our festival expenses which we expect to be around $31,000, and we will keep
you updated on how we are doing toward our goal.
Please do your part in supporting our Church by reaching out to
people you know and do your business with: your bank, dentist,
doctor, insurance agents, hair salons, stores, etc. and those who
provide services for you. This is a great opportunity for our
Young Adults to become involved...your help is needed!
Stop by the Festival Table this weekend after each Liturgy to
pick up your Sponsorship Packets. For more information, or if
you have any questions, please call the Church Office. Thank
you!
