• The goal of this training is to enable implementers to configure and deploy Oracle® Transactional Business Intelligence Enterprise for Human Capital Management Cloud Service. An implementer is responsible for performing the initial setup and configuration of Oracle® Transactional Business Intelligence Enterprise for Human Capital Management Cloud Service. This may be done by the customer or by an implementation partner. OTBI Enterprise for HCM Cloud Service 2 • Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence (OTBI) provides real-time transactional analytics embedded with Fusion Cloud Applications. This set of analytics is designed to support all employees by targeted persona to accomplish their daily work. OTBI Enterprise for HCM Cloud Service 3 • OTBI Enterprise for HCM Cloud Service delivers advanced analytics for historical, trending, and predictive analysis, and provides data enrichment for complex metrics, including: – Headcount movement (historical snapshot, event interpretation, hierarchy lookup) – Frozen snapshot (as-is vs as-was) – Time for a new hire to become top performer (cycle time) – Organizational skill gap (complex calculation) OTBI Enterprise for HCM Cloud Service 4 • OTBI Enterprise for HCM Cloud Service provides the analytic tools to address persona needs, including: – Require their division and/or other division information or combined/cross-source info – Strategic views for analysis and planning – either historic or future – Key metrics/Key indicators – Quick views for initial assessments – “Light” exploration by varying prompts and combinations – Use information to form and argue opinions for tactical or strategic changes – Push to supporting staff for deeper analysis with specific questions – Export/publish to others for commentary and opinion – via email, via PPT, via Mobile OTBI Enterprise for HCM Cloud Service 5 OTBI Enterprise for HCM Cloud Service 6 OTBI Enterprise for HCM Cloud Service 7 OTBI Enterprise for HCM Cloud Service 8 • OTBI Enterprise for HCM Cloud Service is also intended to provide a powerful value-added “out-of-the-box” experience that does not require a great deal of effort to configure the environment and begin using analytics. Further, the reports and dashboards available by default are immediately useful for the customer without additional content development or customization required. Time-to-value is nearly the same as the time-todeploy. Upgrades, software updates, maintenance, and backups are managed by Oracle Operations. OTBI Enterprise for HCM Cloud Service 9 OTBI Enterprise for HCM Cloud Service 10 OTBI Enterprise for HCM Cloud Service 11 OTBI Enterprise for HCM Cloud Service 12 • OTBI Enterprise for HCM Cloud Service is built on the Oracle Business Intelligence Foundation Suite. At the heart of the Oracle Business Intelligence Foundation Suite is a key technology differentiator for Oracle—the Common Enterprise Information Model. This is a unified metadata model, which is accessed by all the end-user tools, so every end user and every department across the enterprise has the same consistent view of information, tailored to their role. As a result, organizations no longer need to maintain multiple metadata environments for different types of users. Oracle provides the ability to “model once, deploy everywhere.” The metadata model consists of three tiers: – The physical layer enables you to import the table structures of your existing data sources. – The semantic layer enables you to create a simplified representation of multiple data sources, creating a logical model of your business in ways users think about it—dimensions, hierarchies, and metrics. – The presentation layer further simplifies this model making the data appear to end users as a single data source with a single table structure of dimensions, measures, and derived measures. • This common enterprise information model enables you to define key metrics and calculations in one place, assuring that everyone has a consistent view of information (tailored to their role) and assuring alignment across departments.
