ABOUT THE VIGNAN'S UNIVERSITY
Vignan's Foundation for Science, Technology and
Research (VFSTR) University is located in the serene
environs of Vadlamudi on the Guntur-Tenali highway, about

Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering
at Vignan's University is a Research oriented and
Student Centered department offering undergraduate
and postgraduate programs in Electrical & Electronics
Engineering, The department of EEE has an intake of
120 undergraduate students and has an intake of 36
students at M.Tech level. Besides these the department
has strong research interests in diverse fields of
Electrical and Electronics offers a Doctor of Philosophy
(Ph.D.) programme. All faculty members have M.Tech
or higher qualification and are actively engaged in
research. The areas of research include Electric Drives
& their control, Applications of AI Techniques to drives,
Pricing of electricity in open market, Distribution
network optimization, Hybrid Electric Vehicles.

About the Workshop
This workshop aims to assemble the experts in the
field of Green Energy and Automation from various public
and private sector companies at one place to discuss,
exchange their visions, experiences, solutions for
upscaling and mainstreaming green energy and
industrial automation to achieve sustainable economic
growth.
THEME :
Societies future energy infrastructure will arise through
technology development, investments in automation
control and development of advances in green energy
systems. Such development is the solution to meet
energy demand. Automatic control used in various
control applications such as machinery, process
control, heat treating ovens, switching in telephone
networks, steering & stabilization of ships, aircraft and
other various sectors with minimal human intervention.
The main benefit of automation is saving the energy,
materials, improves the quality, accuracy and precision.
There is a great need of training and education on
industrial automation for proper understanding. This
workshop is focused on the current scenario of
automatic control and the strategies to meet the future
challenges in the area of green energy and industrial
sector.
