*HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL 2 ~ Students in this class will portray the characters of “HSM2” while learning
age-appropriate choreography to a medley of fun & exciting songs such as “Fabulous”, “You Are The Music In Me”
and “All For One”. Casting auditions will be held in the FIRST class meeting. Come & join us for lots of fun and
excitement as we have fun with Troy, Gabriela, Sharpay and all the HSM friends!
*CINDERELLA ~ The Musical ~ Students in this class will portray the characters of “CINDERELLA” while
learning age-appropriate choreography to a medley of fun & exciting songs such as “A Dream Is A Wish Your Heart
Makes” and “Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo”. Casting auditions will be held in the FIRST class meeting. Come & join us as
we sing along with Cinderella and all of her fun friends!

ATD’s SENIOR PROGRAM: Class Placement Audition Information
Placement auditions will be held for these pertaining classes only:
Lyrical Ballet Levels 2-5, Jazz/Hip-Hop Levels 2-5, Choreo Class
*ALL new & returning Sr Level 2-5 dancers audition each session for proper class placement J
*LOCATION: BLASS GYM, Harbor Day School
*FRIDAY DEC. 11th at 5:30-7:00* p.m. (*Level 4 & 5 auditions will last until 7:30*)
*Make-up auditions: MONDAY Jan 4th from 5:30-6:30 pm (please email Ms Nicole Ashby for appt.)
ATD! offers classes designed for dancers who are at all levels in their dance journey. Appropriate class placement is
for the benefit of each dancer's progress. Although each dancer’s rate of progress varies, TYPICALLY dancers
spend about 3 full sessions in each class level to properly master the necessary skills (ie. Level 2, etc).
At this audition, dancers will have the opportunity to demonstrate their across-the-floor technique as well as learn and
perform two short routines. Dancers should arrive stretched and ready to dance! Please see the following class
descriptions to help guide your class selection. (Please contact Nicole Ashby with any questions or placement guidance):
Level 1 - Beginning: instruction & choreography is taught at a slow-medium pace; dancers learn single pirouettes, basic jumps, kicks,
leaps (no audition necessary). In this level, dancers will learn: 1) 6-step into a single pirouette on both right/left 2) Single time chané
turns to right/left 3) Chacé into leaps to right & left side 4) Basic Dance Terminology
Level 2 - Low-Intermediate: instruction & choreography is taught at a medium-fast pace; basic understanding of dance terminology;
*To enter this level, dancers should have mastered: 1) 6-step into a single pirouette on both right/left 2) Single time chané turns to
right/left 3) Chacé into leaps to right & left side. In this level, dancers will learn: 1) Double pirouettes to right/left 2) Double-time
chané turns 3) Center leaps to right/left 4) Kick combinations 5) Chané jetés to right/left
Level 3 - High-Intermediate: instruction & choreography is taught at a fast pace; good understanding of dance terminology;
*To enter this level, dancers should have mastered: 1) 6-step into a double pirouette on both right/left 2) Double time chané turns to
right/left 3) Center leaps to right & left side 4) Kick combos to right/left side 5) Chané jetés to right/left. In this level, dancers will
learn: 1) Surprise Leaps to right/left/center 2) More advanced turn/leap combinations 3) Splits to R/L/Center 4) Leg Holds
Level 4 – Pre-Advanced: instruction & choreography is taught at an intense & fast pace; strong understanding of dance terminology;
*To enter this level, dancers should have mastered: 1) Splits (holding for 1 min) on at least ONE side 2) Surprise leaps to right/left/
center 3) Leg Hold on at least ONE side. In this level, dancers will learn: 1) Triple pirouettes to right/left (consistently) 2) Reverse
leaps/Sotés 3) Alsecondes & Fuete turns 4) Leg Holds (R/L/Side) 5) More advanced Leg Extensions
Level 5 – Advanced: instruction & choreography is taught at a highly intense & extremely fast pace; mastered understanding of dance
terminology; consistent triple + turns, consistently strong & multiple alsecondes & fuetes, excellent flexibility & leg strength
*To enter this level, dancers should have mastered: 1) 6-step into a triple pirouette on both right/left 2) All previous leaps including
Reverse Leaps & Sotés to right/left 3) Splits to all sides (hold for 1 min) 4) Leg Holds to R/L/Side 5) Alsecondes and Fuetes to right/
left. In this level, dancers will learn: 1) Quad pirouettes to R/L 2) Leg Hold Turns 3) Switch Leaps & Firebirds 4) Advanced turn
combos including multiple alsecondes/fuetes
