Welcome New Life News Announcements Welcome! If you are visiting today we are glad you are here! Whether you come with questions and curiosity about Christianity or are looking for a church to call home we would like to get to know you. We gather to encounter the living God who has made himself known through the Bible and the person of Jesus Christ. Here at New Life our mission is to build a community centered on Jesus, active in the renewal of all things. Where Jesus is, new life is always bursting forth. Where Jesus is, broken things are redeemed. As a church we seek to make visible these realities where we live, work, and play. This bulletin highlights some of the ways we are doing this and we invite you to join us. Prayer and Praise Requests: We thank God that Lois' dad is recovering from a stroke. Pray for his ongoing healing and rehabilitation. Also, for Lois and the family as they help him adjust to a different life style in the light of this episode. Pray for Lois as she begins a very busy season of selling Kianga Crafts. Pray for good sales in order to keep supporting medical work of Kianga Kids. Ask the Lord to continue healing Lois' assistant at Kianga Kids Cecelia and her Leukemia. Please also keep praying for the ongoing healing of Pastor Pethuel from his motorcycle accident. He should be able to get rid of his support boot this month and begin putting some weight on the injured leg. Pray for his family's financial needs as he has not been able to work on his farm. Praise God for the new goat-raising business that Pastor Daniel has begun to help support his ministry. This ministry came from an unexpected donation from one of our prayer partners. Pray for Pastor Benard Mutheka who is working in a dangerous area on the Northern Coast of Kenya where there are ongoing tribal clashes and M -lim terrorism. He is preaching the Gospel and trying to be a peacemaker for the warring tribes. We also have a church planter in the town of Garissa where, just days ago, a Catholic church and an Africa Inland Church were attacked and at least 14 people were killed. Pray for peace in Kenya. Ask God to give us wisdom as we consider some new ministry opportunities to train cross-cultural church planters here in the U.S. Annual Thanksgiving Service Prayer of Belief: Lord Jesus Christ, I admit that I am weaker and more sinful than I ever before believed, but, through you, I am more loved and accepted than I ever dared hope. I thank you for paying my debt, bearing my punishment and offering forgiveness. I turn from my sins and receive you as Savior. Amen. On Thursday, November 27 at 9:30am we will give praise and thanksgiving to God for His blessings. Childcare will be available.
