"If we stress the love of God without the holiness of God, it turns out only to be
compromise. But if we stress the holiness of God without the love of God, we practice
something that is hard and lacks beauty. All too often people have not been wrong in
saying that the church is ugly. In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, we are called upon
to show a watching world and to our own young people that the church is something
beautiful. In order to exhibit both simultaneously, we must look moment by moment to
the work of Christ, to the work of the Holy Spirit. Spirituality begins to have real
meaning in our moment-by-moment lives as we begin to exhibit simultaneously the
holiness of God and the love of God." - Francis Schaeffer
If you are visiting today we are glad you are here! Whether you come with
questions and curiosity about Christianity or are looking for a church to call
home we would like to get to know you. Come by the info desk in the lobby
to get more information about New Life, ways to get connected to our
community, and to learn more about the many opportunities to grow in your
Christian life.
For those who are interested in knowing more about New Life the Welcome
Class continues this morning from 10-11am. Topics include our core beliefs
as a church and what it means to follow Jesus as a member of a local
church. Join us upstairs in room 304.

Prayer Focus—Ellen Dykas
Anthony Gammage, preaching
Matthew 6:9-13
April 19, 2015
Ellen Dykas serving with Harvest USA in Philadelphia.
Please pray for:

Pray for my walk with Christ and time in God's Word to be daily, rich in
encouragement and for relationships with God's people to be intentional
and centered on God.

For God to raise up 2-3 new Women's Ministry Staff workers in the next 6
months.

For wisdom in knowing how to cultivate relationships with my financial
ministry partners and faithfulness for me to pray for them.

God's provision of new financial support in 2015-16: For God to raise up
$2500 in new monthly commitments so that end of the year giving isn't
something my account is so dependent upon.

I will be on sabbatical July 1 - September8th and am very thankful! Please
pray that this time would be deeply refreshing to me in every way.
Outreach
Prayer of Belief: Lord Jesus Christ, I admit that I am weaker and more sinful than I
ever before believed, but, through you, I am more loved and accepted than I ever dared
hope. I thank you for paying my debt, bearing my punishment and offering
forgiveness. I turn from my sins and receive you as Savior. Amen.
The Granada Team Car Wash and Pancake Breakfast will be held on
Saturday, May 2 from 8:30am to 1:30pm. Enjoy some flapjacks while we
make your car sparkle. Donations benefit the English Camp Trip.
