The Lenten Season is intended to be a
"workshop" where the character of the faithful is
spiritually uplifted and strengthened; where you
are called to rededicate yourself to the principles
and ideals of our Holy Catholic Faith; where fasting and prayer
culminate in deep conviction of life; where apathy and disinterest turn
into vigorous activities of faith and good works.
Lent is not for the sake of Lent itself, as fasting is not for the sake of
fasting. Rather, these are means by which and for which you are
strengthened in your bond with God and His Church!

way for members to connect, network, and make
lasting relationships.
Media Outreach Update
St. Malachy's - The Actors' Chapel has been wellpositioned to reach its parishioners and communicate - in
many different ways to a wider community - the life and
mission of the parish. This instrument of transparency and
evangelization helps perpetuate and make known the
Gospel of Christ in our observance, everyday life, and
work. There is a large presence online and in social media
between all of our different accounts on Facebook, Twitter
and Instagram. The record of online traffic, insights and
'analytics' has grown exponentially, even in the past year.
Beginning in October 2013, Fr. Baker appointed Mark
Pacoe to oversee these aspects of communication. This
E-Newsletter, the 8 social media pages, the website and
other print communications are carefully crafted to reflect
the cross-section of the parish and all of its activities. You
may check out our various social media pages (on the left
column of this page). Our newest addition to a
comprehensive communication approach is the Instagram
account (which mainly features a picture log of activities in
