Michael Monette St. Patrick Church • Newport, NH JUNE 9-12, 2016 In honor of our Holy Father Francis, a faithful son of St. Ignatius of Loyola, who founded the Society of Jesus, we travel to the sites and locations that have been sanctified by the blood of the North American Jesuit Martyrs. Come away for a few days to meet new friends and join other faithful souls as we learn about the lives of these holy missionaries who sought to bring the message of Christ’s Mercy to the new world in the seventeenth century. It’s a beautiful garden, but I’m lonely and I’m sick of eating apples.” “Okay,” God said. “I’ll create a man for you.” Eve said, “What’s a man?” “He’s a creature with aggressive tendencies and an enormous ego who doesn’t listen and gets lost a lot, but he’s big and strong, he can open jars and hunt animals, and at the end of the day he can really make you feel like a woman.” “Sounds great!” said Eve. God: “There’s just one other thing. He’s going to want to believe I made him first.” Quote of the week: “Instead of trying to avoid hardships, ask God for the grace to bear them well.” ~St. Andre Bessette
