Foundation Stage
In FS, learned of the importance of drinking water for
good health.
Year 1
The children studied religious Creation Stories.
Year 2
The children learned all about where our food comes from.
(And we don’t mean Morrison’s!)
Year 3
The classes studied magnets, polarity, how they attract and how they repel.
Year 4
The children have enjoyed investigating the different melting points of various
materials and have also read stories from the past.
Year 5
A delicious smell of baking bread from Hemsworth has tantalised everyone
down the junior corridor this week! Cudworth children have learned about the
human lifecycle.
Year 6
The classes have written biographies of famous people and have discussed
the value of good sportsmanship in team events.
Other news
The teachers have been busy with preparations for our upcoming Science
Mega Day. It is shaping up to be a wonderful day filled with fun and
surprises…….
Phew! What a busy ‘encouraging young scientists’ kind of school!
Drewton Class Assembly
Well done Drewton! You have all put in a lot of hard work to make
your assembly special. Your art work was amazing!
Well done Drewton – a fantastic performance. All so confident.
What a fantastic assembly! It was great to see all the children
enjoying themselves so much and bringing their work from the
classroom (what great artists!) into assembly! What great confidence.
That was lovely. It was funny and informative. The children were
brilliant and spoke loudly and clearly. There were some amazing
paintings too. Thank you Drewton – you were amazing!
That was fantastic all of you. Such loud voices. Loved your jokes
and the singing. Your paintings were brilliant!
Fun, entertaining, brilliant assembly, a pleasure to watch.
My word, that was fab. Clear and loud voices. Well done children.
Fantastic assembly Drewton. You all had lovely clear voices and did
some really good pictures.
The children were fantastic. Well done to both children and staff.
Well done boys and girls. Very clear voices and great acting.
Absolutely fantastic.

Good Behaviour
Last week’s Mrs Robinson’s Pop Feedback
We asked you: A few of us staff members and
parents used to enjoy Zumba classes here after
school. Sadly, interest waned and the teacher could
no longer continue to make it viable. If we could
restart Zumba or some other kind of adult fitness
class again, would you be interested?
We had 10 replies. Thank you so much to those people for taking
the time to respond.
The answer was a ‘yes’ but of course everyone preferred
different times and days so suiting everyone may prove
impossible but we’ll certainly give it a go. If it ended up being
after school, children would be welcome to attend Tea time club
of course. We will make some enquiries and see if we can find a
Zumba teacher to come and try classes again. Please look out
for information about this in the coming weeks. In the meantime,
if you know of anyone qualified and interested, please let us
know. Here’s hoping!

SATs – a message from Mrs Robinson
Whatever your / our political or educational
philosophies, SATs are statutory and so we
pay respectful attention to them.
However, we want you to know that at
Acre Heads • We don’t measure our worth or the
children’s worth by SATs results.
• We know our children and what they are
capable of – we want them to do well.
• We love our children and we are proud
of how hard they work – whatever their
ability.
• We teach them well and prepare them
for SATs because that’s what they
deserve.
• Our teachers are supportive and
understanding of children’s worries
about SATs.
This week’s best…….
