Project Coordinator Job Posting Jane Finch Asset Building Project The Jane Finch Asset Building Project is collaboration between PEACH, Success Beyond Limits and The Spot and supported by a grant from Ontario Trillium Foundation. The project will introduce the Developmental Assets® framework of Positive Youth Development to all stakeholders in the community. In a collaborative and coordinated manner, all members of the community will learn that they share responsibility for ensuring youth are an integral part of their community and for helping all youth build developmental assets and resiliency. The Project Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of the project which include: partnership development, recruitment of new partners, training, and oversight of volunteers, recruiting and working with youth volunteers to develop and execute a marketing plan, outreach, monitoring and evaluation, project documentation and reporting. We are seek an individual with the following qualifications and experience: Post-secondary education in social services, education, community development and 2-3 years of relevant work experience; Masters level education will be considered an asset Demonstrated project management skills and ability to manage multiple tasks Minimum of 2 years’ experience working with non-profit organizations and youth Familiarity with the social, economic and cultural conditions of the community and an understanding of local issues and priorities. Demonstrated outstanding communication skills, with the ability to develop, engage, and grow relationships with a range of resident groups and youth. Experience monitoring budgets Strong skills in conflict mediation and problem-solving and an ability to maintain healthy boundaries Strong interpersonal and facilitation skills, with experience leading and motivating volunteers Competent training skills. Demonstrated understanding of evaluation frameworks. Strong commitment to social justice High energy with a positive attitude. Demonstrated outreach and capacity building skills Computer competency in word processing, publishing, communications programs and use of the internet Experience in working with local service providers, community groups, networks and coalitions Oral written fluency in English, knowledge of a second language and culture is an asset This is a full-time position of 37.5 hours per week (Monday – Friday) with some evening and weekend work.
