Important Information:
FIRST TIME SKATERS IN OUR PROGRAM:
Snowplow Sam 1 is the beginning level for 4 & 5 year olds. Basic 1 is the beginning level for skaters 6 years and older.
Adult 1 is the beginning level for skaters 18 years and older. After you master the skills at Level 1, you will graduate to
Level 2 and so on. Report Cards are given & official badges will be given out for each level mastered. Each class
includes ½ hour practice ice. Helpful Hints: Wear gloves / Mittens, Wear bicycle or hockey helmets for beginning
skaters. Wear knit pants for flexibility (snow pants are OK). Layer heavy shirts or jackets, single blade, sharpened skates
are required, Rentals are available at the rink . If you have any questions: call the LTS Director at 819-6047. Visit
our website at: greatergreenbayfsc.com Advanced registration is preferred. Class sizes are limited & fill quickly.
US Figure Skating Membership-Skaters need to pay a yearly fee of $12.00 for a basic skills membership. This allows
the skater to compete at Basic Skills competitions and also includes sports insurance coverage.
Nametags-All skaters MUST wear nametags! This is how we can tell what class your skater is in and then we can help
them get to their classes on time.
Concussions-Unfortunately, concussions happen in many sports. We want you to be aware of the symptoms and be
informed about concussions just in case you or your skater gets injured. GGBFSC’s website has information for you at:
http://www.greatergreenbayfsc.com/ConcussionParents.pdf Forms must be signed before you can skate on our ice.

Private Lessons- Lessons need to be scheduled and paid for in advance. See Director Amy to schedule a lesson and for
more details. Lessons can be given on the practice end of the ice. Amy’s email: [email protected]
Make-Up classes-if you miss your lesson, you can get a make-up pass from the nametag table. Sorry, does not include
hockey. If you sign up late, we will not pro-rate but instead give make-up passes.
Intro to Club Program-See what being a full club member is all about! Skaters (Basic 5 and above) will skate on private
club ice and get private lessons from various GGBFSC coaches. 4 or 8 week program. See Director Amy for more
information.
Upgrade to Full Club Member-Join the Greater Green Bay Figure Skating Club as a full member for even more skating
opportunities. More ice time, skills testing, competitions, private lessons, awards banquet, SKATING Magazine, etc…
KICKS Synchronized Skating Teams-skaters above Basic 3 are invited to try out for GGBFSC’s synchro teams. The
beginner team has competitions in Wisconsin only. See nametag table for more information.
T-shirts-Support our program by proudly wearing a Learn to Skate t-shirt. They are priced to sell at $10. Get yours
today!
Vests-proudly display your badges on your Learn To Skate vest. They are $35. Everybody needs a fleece vest!!
